Lucian felt the sadness on him. "But I don't want to be with anyone else.......I don't want to give her my child just because it has to be done..." Lucian rung his hands. "How am I to love a child I don't want? That would almost be as bad as the way my father treats me. You can't ask me to create another me....." Lucian bit his lip and began to pace the room. "You want me to fulfill my duties...but I can't do those duties because my own moral code forbids it...and you won't be with me....what am I to do?"
Mama Cleo gave a harumph from behind the door and bumped it open with her hip. She waddled into the room with a sponge and began to clean the counter. Lucian ran to the counter and stared at the woman. "Please Mama, I know you heard us talking. Give me some guidance!" Mama clicked her tongue and shook her head. "Child, the problem is you need to have a bebe. The biggest problem is that you want a bebe with a being that cannot bare children and the only other option means you have to create with someone you want to destroy. Neither option is going to work." Lucian whined pathetically and smacked his head on the solid counter-top. "Then what do I do?! I can't do what Lily asked of me and I can't do what my father asks of me and I can't do what I want so what am I to do!?" Mama clicked her tongue again and wiped off a shelf. "I'm not sure what to tell you child. You could ask a friend of you're to mother you're child, but that might cause problems of it's own." Lucian lifted his head from the counter, a red line running down from beneath his hair to his nose. "And what problem would that be?" Mama shook her head at the boy's face. "Then she would become queen and you would have to deal with her for the next fifteen to twenty years regardless." Lucian groaned and smacked his head against the counter top again.
Rowan came charging out of the backroom, broom in hand. Cade tried to grabbed him, but the broom smacked his hands away. Rowan advanced over to Lucian who lifted his head up again slowly. The line of red had become streams of red and his nose was turning an odd color. "Oh Lulu, what have you done to your face?" Lucian sighed. "I'm going to smash it in so no woman will want me and father will just surrender the kingdom without forcing me to marry or waiting until he dies." Rowan touched his cheek. "You know there are women willing to bare you a whole host of children." Lucian scoffed. "I don't want to make a child with a random woman! I don't even want children! I love Lily and I will only love Lily and unless Lily is able to have and/or wants children, then I do not want anything to do with the monsters." Rowan bit his lip. "Very rarely have I heard of Bentian's having children.: Lucian cut his eyes on Rowan. "Do not give this heart false hope, I know my Lily is unable to bare a child." Rowan sighed and shook her head. "I have sisters." Lucian's eyes widened. "What madness do you speak off Rose?" Rowan rolled his eyes. "I have nine sisters, all who look similar to me and would do anything for their little brother. I know five still remain in the area and their owners would be bound by law to forfeit them if you wanted one of them. All you have to do is pick one and she'd be happy to bare a child. It would probably be a much easier life than what she lives now."

 Leo stood to the side and listened, hating himself for hurting Lucian this way. at Rowain's suggestion he smiled a little, "why not make yourself a little 'heram' " he sujested, and quickly held up a hand. "please, i beg of you hear me out. Rose makes a good point, by bearing a child with one of her sisters you will provide an heir without having to marry and will be freeing that sister from her life as it is. but why not free all over her sisters. take them into the castle as your concubines and have them be treated as the princesses they deserve to be and impregant which ever one is willing. in my research of this kingdom it said that herams are rare, but not unheard of when a member of the royal family needs to provide a heir but does not wish to marry." he bit his lip and looked down, "bentian ca also be included in the heram, and thus-maybe, i could be a little closer to you as well. it is also no uncommon for the royal to marry one of the women in his heram and when you become king and make it so we can marry-well, having me in the heram will make it all the easier."

Lucian's ears only heard what they wanted: Being closer to Leo. Lucian went over and took Leo into his arms, kissing the male across his throat and cheek. "But my parents thing you are dead." Rowan's eyes widened. "What mad man told them that?!" Lucian squeezed Leo tighter. "I did. Out of sheer fear! They threatened to rip the kingdom apart to look for her! I told them she was dead and they wouldn't want to be seen as grave robbers." Rowan groaned. "How would you explain this?" Cade coughed gruffly. "Why not just dye her hair? Has she not changed since your mother saw her? A hair color change and a little makeup and she'll look different then she'll be free in the castle. Then, once your king, dye her hair back or let it grow out and she'll be your sole wife." Lucian looked up at him with hope and sorrow. "But what of my 'harem'?" Cade shrugged. "You will be king! They could all just live in the castle until they find their own husbands." Lucian looked at Rose. "You'd always be welcome to see them." Rose rolled her eyes. "I'd have done so regardless." She smiled, her tone nothing more than a playful threat.
Lucian inhaled slowly and sighed. "Then so be it. I will make a harem and I will take one to bare me an heir. Rowan, I need the names of the owners so I may invite them to the ball and have them bring the women." Rowan nodded, turning on his heel to run into the back. Lucian looked down at Leo." Are you sure you are okay with me being with another besides you? Being of that close intimate contact?" A few drops of blood dripped from the tip of his nose onto Leo's nose, making Lucian make a face. "Ouch, forgot I'd done that to myself."

Leo nodded, "Lucian-sama, forgive me, but out of the two of us i think i am the one who will be able to handle it the best. up until i met you i was nothing more than a thing to be used, many times by several men at once and along side others like me. as long as i hold a peice of your heart i am content." he blinked at the blood and took Lucian's hand,"come let us fix that" he said softly and led Lucian to the kitchen where no one would see. he got a wet cloth and put it over Lucian's face before healing the damage he had done. it was only a small healing and his wings didn't come out for him to do so. "i am willing to dye my hair if it will be easier, also, i can alter my apearance slightly so your mother shall not recdnise me. she will only see me as another bentian that you have bought to replace the one you lost,." he pulled the cloth away and wiped the blood from himself and Lucian. "better?"

Lucian's anger flared at the mere mention of Leo's previous life. Once his forehead was healed, he placed a gentle kiss to Leo's forehead. "I will make them pay. That will be my wedding gift to you. They will all be faced with the fact they defiled the princess and will suffer when I unveil you as my bride." Lucian ran his fingertips around Leo's frame. "This body is a temple that shall never be harmed again lest that person kneel before me and beg for the full weight of my wrath." Lucian leaned down and whispered into Leo's ear, "You are mine." with such power behind it that Leo's hair whipped up into a small storm about his body before settling again. Lucian's eyes had turned a dark gray and storms ragged behind his irises. He meant his promise will all he was and was willing to get his hands dirty enforcing it.
Lucian lead Leo back into the main part of the shop just as Rowan bounded back into the room. He laid a small packet of envelopes on the counter and a few sheets of paper. "The envelopes are the letters I've received within the last month from my siblings while the papers are the addresses from the last five years for each man along with their titles. I hope this works." Lucian looked at the papers and then the envelopes. His eyes wided at one of the names."Duke Winchet!" Rowan's eyes widened as well. "Yes, my youngest sister Mira stays with him." Lucian's eyes softened and he shook his head. He went over and hugged Rowan tightly. Rowan pushed away. "What's wrong with Mira! What did he do to here!?" Lucian shook his head. "Mira is in jail awaiting a sentencing for murdering the Duke's wife." Rowan's eyes widened. "Slander! Mira could never hurt a living soul!" Lucian nodded. "It was rumored the woman died of sickness, but the Duke blamed Mira for it because the woman died on her watch."
Rowan's eyes filled with tears. "Save my sister! They're killing all my family! First my mother, then Memmi! They tried to do me in a couple times and Alusi is so submissive, she'd never speak out against anyone!" Lucian took Rowan's hand. "Calm Rose, I am prince. I will make this right. I'll start collection with Mira. Actually, I'll go do it now before they lock down the prisons for the night." Rose kissed Lucian's hands and bowed. "Thank you so much!"

Leo looked down, "i don't want anyone to be hurt because of me" he said softly, but he wasn't sure if Lucian heard him. he walked over to Rowain and put his hand on the other's shoulder, to support him. "i am sorry, my friend" he whispered and then stepped back to help with the few customer they had in the shop, his eyes down as he thought about all that had happened

Lucian knelt down and said some things to Rowan in private. The male nodded, then saluted the Prince. Lucian pulled his hat back down low to cast a shadow over his face. He went behind the counter and wrapped a hand around Leo's waist, pulling him close to whisper into his ear. "I'll come back for you in three days. If I am not back in three days, I will be in three days after that. I need you ready every three days for up to twelve days because in twelve days I will make my plans public and if I haven't come for you by then I will be coming in here to collect you openly. I just have to make sure everything is in place and it perfect. Do not forget me my darling, I will never stop thinking of you." Lucian placed a wad of bills and some heavy coin onto the counter then kissed Lucian deeply and passionately before anyone who was watching then was gone in the blink of an eye. The carriage out front roared to life and went racing down the street.
The people in the shop hummed with excited talk until Cade tapped his broom on the ground and gave a slight growl. The people collected their items and left from beneath the heavy glare of Cade's eyes. Rowan took the money from the counter and counted it. "This is almost a half of million right here! That's not even counting the worth of the gold's weight! With the palace mark?! Lily!" Rowan looked at the change in hand. "With this........I'm free......"

Leo was blushing at the kiss, but with Rowain's word he kissed his friend on the cheek. "Cade? may-haps you should take this money and buy our friend Rose from the man who dare claim her as him." he said, his eyes on Rowain's. "i wish you all the happiness in the world Rowain." he bowed his head slightly and stepped away, "if you do not mind, i have some altering to do." he stepped into the kitchen and let out a long slow breath. his hands were shaking, but he curled them into fists and hurried up to the bathroom to look himself in the mirror. "I-I said my name" he whispered to his reflection. "I told him my name-" his knees wouldn't hold him anymore and Leo collapsed, his arms catching on the Counter and holding him somewhat upright. he rested his forehead on the cool counter top and took slow deep breaths, trying to stop the tremors that coursed through his body. he finally pulled himself together and stood back up. "ok-so i need to change my hair color and my face a little, right?" he said, nodding. "i can do that-" he turned the water in the tub on and stripped down to nothing. when it was full he stepped inside of th water and knelt, bending over himself. "Fluctus volvo altus quod fluctus volvo low.The mare changes per hora quod s must it's child.Though meus visio est changed EGO sum etiam profundum procul heart.Mother, suffragium vestri parvulus." he murmered and light surrounded him, flowing out from his back in the form of wings and wrapping him in their warm embrace. When he finished the small spell his wings faded away, revealing hi altered form. he got out of the water and moved to the mirror to look. "This might work-i'll have to ask the others though-" ((can't decide what pic to use, help? XD)) 1  2  3  4  5  6  (minus the boobs of course XD))

((GOSH...thats hard.... sweatdrop ...I like 3 and 4....like equally...you pick between those two.. sweatdrop ....no..number 3!! Number three is it biggrin ))
Rowan's hands shook as the money rested in his palms. Cade looked down at the money then Rowan's face. "I-I-I'll be free.....I'll never have to hide my face again....I can go outside....I can become...I'll be able too..." Tears ran down his cheeks and the words were lost. The small audience of customers sighed and awed as the male began to sob and Cade hugged him. "Come on Rose, hold it together so we can close and we'll rush down to the Commons office to get this transferred to the man's account." Rowan nodded, sniffling and sucking in hiccups of air. Cade took the money and placed it into an envelope which he placed into his shirt so it rested against his chest. Cade was taking no chances with this gift. Rowan went back to work and was stronger with each movement.
Cade went to the bathroom door to keep check on Leo. Once he heard the male step into the tub, he went back downstairs. Rowan was pinning his curls up then letting them fall to try and repin them all over. Mama Cleo was at the cash register wiping up and counting change. "You two go on and get goin'. Mama do the last bit for the night." Cade chuckled and patted the money that sat by his heart. "Rose, go get Lily. I want her with you while this happens. This is a moment of memory making." Rowan nodded, letting his curls fall down as he took the steps three at a time.
Rowan tapped gentle on the door. "Leo...?" He opened the door a crack and waved his arm inside. "Hey! It's just me. I'm coming in. I'll close my eyes." Rowan slipped into the room, his rear coming in first and his hands going to his eyes. He bumped the door shut with his hip and smiled from beneath his hands. "Hi there. Cade wanted me to tell you that you're coming with us. Mama is taking care of closing so that we can go get this done. You ready?"

Leo turned and looked at Rowain, "it's ok" he said softly and took rowain's hands, lowering them. "you can look-do you think it is enough or should i alter the hair some more?" he asked, a little nervous about how the others would react to his looks. "So i am coming with you, then?" he smiled and led Rowain to their room so he could put on some clothing. "Thank you for letting me come with you." he finished dressing and nodded, "alright, i think i am ready-"

Rowan blushed lightly when he looked over his friend. He took and idle hand and played with the hair. He smiled. "It's not the same shade. You're deep ocean blue, you were light blue before." Rowan played with the damp strands. "You look fine." He smiled and let himself be led into the other room. He watched the floor modestly as the male got dressed. "I have to take you with me. If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't have this chance." Rowan grabbed Leo's hand and led him downstairs back to Cade. "We're ready on this end!"

When they reached the Kitchen Leo looked up shyly at Cade and Mama Cleo, "do i look alright?" he asked, bitting his bottom lip. he'd left his hair down and the tips of it reached almost past his knees. it glinted in the light as he moved and his eyes matched the hair perfectly. his clothes were a soft grey with blue trim and he figeted, "Do you think it is enough to fool the queen or should i do more?"

Mama Cleo looked up from her work. "Aye, unless the Queen knows your voice the way Mama does, then you're perfect. Get along now before the bank closes." Rowan took Leo's hand and led her outside. Cade soon followed after having a few extra words with Mama. Cade smiled. "You look lovely Lily."
Cade wrapped his arms around the two the same way he'd done the night before and escorted them to the bank. Once they got there, Rowan became very shy. He tilted his head to the floor and adverted his eyes from everyone. Cade leaned down and whispered to him. "You remember his name?" Rowan nodded. "How could I forget?" Cade nodded and led them to the front desk. The lady sat up straight and smiled. "How may I help you?" Cade pulled the envelope from his shirt. "We'd like this totaled out to an amount. We've been saving for years and received a gift from royalty because of some work done for them." The woman emptied the envelope and her jaw dropped. She looked to Cade then to the money. Cade smiled shyly. "I know it's suspicious but the Prince loves this specific pastry and the ingredients are hard to get so he gave us this massive tip to compensate for it." The woman swallowed and nodded. The story was very believable with who the Prince was.
The woman took the money into the back and counted it. She came back with a wide smile. "It came up to be two million in cash and one point five in heavy gold, making three point five in total." Rowan gasped, eyes wide and her body shaking. The woman looked down. "Are you alright?" Cade placed his hand on her shoulder. "Yes, she's just in shock. You see, she's an indentured servant and the amount you told us just bought her freedom. It's an emotional thing." The woman smiled softly. "I understand you darling. Whose account am I wiring this into." Rowan took a sheet of paper and scribbled down the name and some other info. He slid it to the woman who looked at it and nodded. "Two point five into his account. What about the rest?" Rowan shook her head and took shaky breaths. Cade wrapped his arm around him. "I'd like it to be set up into an account under the name Rowan Mila." The woman nodded wrote the info down. "Will that be all?" Rowan's hands gripped the counter. "How long before the man is notified of payment?" The woman smiled. "By nine tomorrow he'll have the money and the notice of where it's come from. Nine tomorrow you'll be free." Rowan nodded then burst into tears.

Leo smiled but then something came to mind. "We are going to have to come up with another name for me. Lily of the Vale is dead to the Queen." he said, looking at Cade and Rowain. "let me think on that-" he mulled over new names while they walked to the bank, but then all of his attention was on the transaction there. when Rowain burst into tears he huged his friend and whispered, "Congradulations, Rowain" into the red head's ear. he gave him a tight squeeze and stepped back. "your dream has come true"

The lady smiled and handed Rowan a tissue. "Such a joyous occasion." Rowan smiled, tears streaming down his face. "I'm free...I've waited eighteen years and I'm finally free. I don't have to hide any longer...I'm free..." Cade hugged Rowan tightly. "Come on, lets go tell Mama and help our friend with her name." Rowan nodded, waving to the bank teller as they left.
Once they got back to the bakery, Rowan jumped up onto the small stage to the side of the store and cheered. He danced around and whooped and hollered, seer happiness on his face. "I'm free Mama! I'm free! Prince Lucian set me free! I can be who i really am again!"
