Luckly Chaos had moved his jaw before Karver slashed the beast's eye, or he would have been without a chin. Then the croc rolled on it's back he attacked the soft stomach, oth hunder and the since of danger fuleing his fire. reptiles didn't make good food, but Chaos really didn't care.

Karver let him handle the rest as he moved over to Anya. "You alright, hun?" He nudged the ligeress softly and licked her cheek. "C'mon. We gotta get you cleaned up..." He lowered himself slightly so she could climb on his back.
She managed to get up, but with some difficulty. She winced as she set herself on his back horizontally. As he got up, she looked over at he rogue. "Thank you..." She chuffed softly then closed her eyes as her uncle led her to another small pool to clean herself off.

Chaos glaced over to Anya as she said her thanks, before he killed the croc, and made his meal. Soon he was sone. He left some of the crock for the others. Mostly because he knew better than to eat so much, when he'd need to be walking on tomorrow. THe lion huffed at the dead carcass, then made his way to the direction Karver and Anya had gone, leaving pawprints of blood. THe blood from the crock, which had clung to the male's bronze furr.

Karver set his niece down into the small, but deep pond. He splashed some water onto her wounds and cleaned her fur. "You know, if it wasn't for the rogue, you would be in a croc's belly..." He huffed. The king really didn't want to admit it, but he was in debt to that stranger. He absently looked over at Anya. "Well...are you going to be alright by yourself? I would like to go see how Hope is..." His mind trailed to the pink lioness at the den and his heart fluttered like a humming bird as it always did when he thought of his love. He couldn't help it...like breathing, it was his nature to love her.
She washed off her fur while listening to Uncle Karver. She gave a soft sigh as he mentioned his beloved's name. "Don't worry, Uncle. I'll be fine. Go on to your mate." She had struggle with the last word as she dove under the water for a short time then popped up again. She was completely wet as her fur was hanging off her like second skin needing to be ripped off. She huffed as she saw her uncle leave to the caves. There was that familiar pang again. She submerged and swam around for a while, her shoulder slightly dulling to a small, numbing pain. As she resurfaced, she didn't notice that her "hero" was passing by.

Chaos watched the lioness swim for a while, before laying in the small conopy of an over-sized leafy bush. He lay his head upon his paws, and closed his eyes. He wouldn't sleep,..he wouldn't even keep his eyes closed for long. He watched the water ripple as Anya moved around in it. He didn't know what to do,...what to do when he was not wondering. what to do when he was not searching. He was restless, and tossed and turned; huffed and sighed. His body wouldn't let him rest.
Hope lay in the den, waiting happily for Karver's return.

King Karver stepped into the coolness of the cave. It was a refreshing little change to the heat outside as he noticed his mate waiting for him. He softly chuffed at her stepping close. "Well...Anya was attacked by a croc..." He gave a soft sigh settling down beside his mate. "Luckily, the rogue saved her. She's a little shooken up, but I think she'll be fine. Right now, she's bathing in another pool that's not inhabited." Karver leaned over and licked her cheek. "I wonder...what's Anya thinking that's getting her so upset...it's like she can't function..." He sighed sincerely worried about his niece.
She stepped out of the pool looking back and noticing him. He seemed upset and restless...maybe she should help? But the last time she did that, she ended up getting a wounded shoulder. Then again, everything deserved a second chance. Shaking the water off her fur, she stepped over to him and cleared her throat. "Umm..thank you again, earlier. I...don't know your name...what is it?" She looked a little embarassed not knowing his name. The ligeress settled herself on her haunches, tail wrapping around her waist. Her left ear twitched again as she watched him intently. "Is...something wrong?"

"everyone has thier own demons" She said as she nuzzeled Karver lovingly, "How one decides to deal with them is thier own choice,..." She smiled softly.
"Chaos" The lion said, as he raised his head up. He could read her embarrasment, but he shrugged it off. "Nothing is wrong" There was silence for a while, and for some reason Karvers words about not touching Anya kept running through his head. He gave a mental smirk, and perhaps the faintest hint of a real one, before he leaned fowards, and with a large paw, pulled Anya to the ground in front of him. he slipped fowards, and began to nuzzle her wet fur, purring.

Karver gave a soft sigh. "Yes...you're right. We all have some demons." He got up and bent down to lick her cheek. "I have to patrol the boarder now...keep safe." The King gave her one last nuzzle before exiting the cave. He turned toward the Eastern Boarders starting his patrol there.
She gave a loud gasp as he pulled her forward. This was what she least expected from him. What was this Chaos thinking? She tried to get away, but his grip was slightly strong. "Umm...Chaos..." She murmured, trying to trick herself into not liking the "embrace". "What's with the physical attraction, just now? I thought you hated me..." She looked up into his eyes as she lyed on her back, tail slightly twitching. Who was this guy?

She purred, "M"kay,..don't get into any trouble!" she smiled heartily.
Chaos let her go, "Keh, 'thought',.." his smirk was now evident upon his face, though it wasn't all that playful. He was sitting now, twitching his tail.

She looked at him for a moment then it all came to her. "I knew it! You only touched me because Uncle Karver told you not to!" The ligeress began to sniffle a bit as tears welled in her eyes. It hurt really bad that she was only used for a cruel joke. Turning, she went back into the water knowing that most lions can't swim. Hopefully, this one couldn't....

Unluckily for Anya, swimming was something Chaos had learned early on in life. He bounded after her, making a big splash in the water. He couldn't help it,..she practically begged to be chased,...

The ligeress dived down deep slightly swimming unusually well. Noticing she was being chased by the huge lion, she made a break for the shore. Doing a double take, she surfaced getting up to the beach. Shaking herself off as best she could, she raced deeper into the Oasis wondering if Chaos had seen her. 'That creep! I can't believe he did that! Oh, but why does he have to be so cute!' She argued to herself wondering if she should make a game out of this.

Her muscles rippled as she ran on and on. Her flakes waved behind her as she looked like a purple blur. Her paws barely touched the ground as she then went out into the open area of the Oasis. The trees were few here, but the ground was hard to run on as it was a swamp like terrain. She almost tripped as her left hindleg got stuck. Her underbelly became muddy as she loped through the muck.

Chaos laughed as he ran, and slowly came to a walk as they entered the swampy area, his laugh mellowing into a chuckle, as he watche Anya. There was a small charm in the way he stood there, small smirk-like grin on his face.
