She was really so shut out from the true horrors what the world had held. Nocturne was dark and deadly outside the walls but she had seemed these missions were the first of her seeing it. Melody stumbled a bit on the chair when he let go and jumped off, landing on her feet. She shook her head a bit when her ear started to tingle a bit from all the attention it had just gotten. "To tell the truth Im actualy surprised no one found us here yet. That would have been interesting." She laughed again at the thought. It seemed that every time they had gone anywhere so far there was someone there but here was different, so one had found them yet.

Combining the worst aspects of Norturne and Kranila, the Expanse, the desolate swamp is reputedly home to hungry spirits, the angry dead, and predators warped by the ruins of ancient, forgotten people. At the highest point in the aged and otherwise heavily eroded range, lies a great foe. Many have come seeking his riches, both native and foreign explorers. Be wary, he is extremely powerful and not to be tested.
For great lengths of time, it rains. The swamp replenishes its marshes with yearly monsoons. These range from weeks to months with no periods of peace. You have arrived at the wrong time of the season young traveler, not only is it muggy but it is pouring and coverage is slim. You will be walking in standing water of about 12 inches. Please be careful of roots and sinkholes! They are everywhere.
This is a test for survival.
You must roll a 8 sided die with every post.
If you roll a 1 or 4; you have found yourself in a quicksand sinkhole.
If you roll a 2; you tripped over a root and landed in the nasty swamp water.
A 3 or 5 means you are safe, continue on route.
If you roll a 6, 7, or 8; you encounter an enemy.
Mission length; 12 posts.

Greed would hear strange clinking noises around his feet, something hard hitting his boots. The water around him would start to ripple and as he looked two small eyes looked upward from the swampy pool. Just as suddenly, another set joined, and then another.
The diabolus had walked into a hive of demonic crabs! Their claws were razor sharp steel, not only that but they could spit Fire Streams from their butts. There were at least four or five dozens of them, some were even starting to climb up the leg of his pants, sinking their claws and jutting legs into the fabric.
Bursts of fire shot up out of the water, some of the spouts going as high as six feet!

Evil?  Greed looked down feeling something sharp grab onto his pantlegs, and seeing a pair of black beady eyes. Immediately, he stepped on the head of one crab, the advance giving him enough leverage out of the water, his muay thai training giving him enough leverage to jump into the air as high as a truck's roof before the Diabolus spun gracefully in the air, his face pointing towards the ground as he did so. He basically had used dancing on flesh, however he only needed to step on the crabs head instead of having to step on a human's leg and shoulders. He then pointed an arm towards the ground, and felt energy surge through his palms as a bright blast of vermillion colored electricity arced out of his palms, the color of the lightning influenced by his own energy. This lightning would crash down right upon the center of the crab hive, the water acting as an excellent conductor for the rather lethal blast of electricity. Normally the shocks would be extremely painful but not lethal, however all of the crabs in the water would probably be boiled inside their shells due to the conductivity of the water. As for the Crab that had managed to grab his pant leg, the Diabolus brought his pist down upon it in a violent arc, attempting to smash in the shell of the creature with his steel hard fist. The flames roared dangerously below him, but the extremely high jump he had previously done sent him just out of their reach.

Sizzle, sizzle~
Who knew that Greed liked boiling some crustaceans? If he wasn't on a mission, they'd make some tasty jumbo! At least half of them floated belly up, bobbing along the ripples of water since the electrical current fried their peon brains. Many were still farting the fiery streams up in to the air while the others raged. Their claws clanking as they readied for the man, that trampled on Frankfurter, to come down so they could feast on his devilish flesh. They'd scurry, over roots, underwater, five of them even leaping out of the water straight towards the descending diabolus.
The one on his leg shattered into pieces, squealing as its little squiggle body dropped into the water below.

Evil? As Greed neared the water, he felt his skin being touched by crab pincers. His steel form held strong however, and they would find no purchase through his armored skin. He then did something that would completely obliterate the remaining crabs, and anything else within a thirty foot distance. He felt lightning arc from his core, directly into his fist. He then slammed his fist into the ground, his clawed hand splashing into the murky water before striking the mucky floor. Then, lightning arced up into everything within a thirty foot distance of Greed, including any crabs managing to climb onto the berserker as the electricity becoming exponentially amplified inside the swampy water. In this process, Greed was very careful not to electrocute himself... though it was his own skill, so it was pretty easy to keep the flow of his own lightning from returning back into his own body.

The poor things never stood a chance and on this very night, all of the demonic hive died. Each one electrocuted, their bodies floating shell down in the water.
Greed was free to pass.

The chanting only straight ahead of Greed as three treasure goblins sung and danced around a small green flame fire that was nestled on top of some intertwining roots. Their skin was a sickly green and they had bright, beady red eyes. Their teeth gnashed together like a wolves hungry maw, their saliva dribbling down and on to their jewel-covered chests. They stood no taller than 4 feet.
The first one grabbed the second ones arm and shocked him. It of course, screamed and smacked the other one up side the head while the third laughed and laughed. That was until they saw Greed approaching. All three screeched and growled! They each slammed their fists against the large root which caused a great flow of energy to shoot up spikes from the water towards and in the diabolus' area.

Description: The arcanist forms energy in their hand and he or she swings it down towards the ground. This energy impacts the ground and then it forms into a wave of energy spikes headed towards where the arcanist is facing. This has a range limited to five meters. A total of four spikes are headed towards the target each one as sharp as a regular spear.
