Remus looked more closely at the sword. It did have some strange markings. "Probably also related to Salazar Slytherin," he mused, studying the marks, utterly facinated. "Look...that's a snake, I think," he said, pointing to a long fluid line that wound its way around the piece that seperated the blade and hilt. "And these are Runes, I'm sure of it," he said suddenly, hand moving to a set of beautifully illegible characters running up and down the hilt.

The obelisk shook slightly, and symbols changed. The cups turned to rings, and this done, the stone sighed. Leah jumped. "Okay, I don't think I imagined that." She exclaimed. James shrugged. "Yeah, yeah, so the rock is making funny noises. Big deal!"
Leah glared.
"What? This whole maze is funny, if you ask me, and I'm pretty much past being suprised. In fact," James yawned and leaned against the stone, one hand in it's exact center. "I wouldn't be suprised if-" He stopped, wide-eyed, as his hand sunk into the stone.
Leah was now smirking. "You were saying?"
James shook his head. "There's something in here." So saying, he carefully drew his hand out, with a horn in his hand.

Leah looked at the horn, then rapped on the stone where James's hand had gone through. It seemed solid now. "Very clever, Potter. But what does it do?"
James smirked, and put his lips to the horn. No sound came out, no matter how hard he blew. Finally, he gave up. "Blasted horn!"
Leah was still looking at the stone, trying to decipher the runes. There were more on the side.....She walked around it, reading as she went. "And the wearer of the shoes shall gain...Oh what's that rune?" She mumbled, stopping behind the obelisk. On the back were indents, of all things....Leah shrugged and started to climb.
James had been examining the runes, and now he remarked "I'm prettty sure this is something Ravenclaw-ee, according to these designs." He looked up. "Leah?"
Leah peeked her head over the top of the stone, and grinned at James' staring face. "Right here!" She said jovially, crouching on the very top. Looking at the top she wondered if someone could poke a hole through the ceiling and escape....though with the way things were going, not likey. Still, worth a try. She stood up, centering her feet - And fell right through, shrieking.
A moment later she walked out, a calm expression on her face, holding a pair of shoes. "Touche, Potter."

Peter had fainted [:/Dies of shame:]]This was far too much for him to take in. He slowly came 'round, and rubbed his head, and looked up. He saw Leah and James with items and mumbled,
"Whazyuu ghet ztat frmm?"
In all honesty, he sounded like a drunk.
He looked around. Still in the maze. Peter gulped loudly. So it wasen't a dream.
Gwin finished brushing herself off, not looking at Severus. Her cheeks were distinctly redish-pink.
"Of course not!" she muttered, then took a moment to look around distactedly. A two in one answer, that should keep him at bay for a while, she thought. Gwin smirked a little. She glanced at the circlet in her hand, and then at Rhea. She gave a small questioning side-long glance at 'Sev', and slowly placed the bronze circlet on her head. (And closed her eyes tight.)
Nothing happened.
Gwin opened her eyes. She shrugged, and tried to take it off. It was stuck. The circlet fit snuggly on her brow, but wasn't tight.
"We're not out of trouble yet..." whispered Gwin, and gave a yelp. The circlet grew warm around her head.
"What is this thing!? Get it off! Get it off Sev-" Gwin corrected herself, rather clumsily.
"Erus!"
Gwin twisted a bit, trying to wriggle out of the circlet to no avail.
[Circlet can come off when two or more pull it off together.]

(I'm so sorry lapair. I've had alot of things going on lately.)
Nadia shrugged. "Ok let's go..." She looked at each path carefully; trying to see if there was anything astray. "...that way." Nadia turned and pointed to the path to their right. She started down the path when she stopped, and pivited on her toes to face the path on the left. "I changed my mind. That way." And started walking.

Nadia gave a short sigh. "As always," she raised her arms and shrugged. "I'm the bipolar one."
After walking onward for a few minutes, there was a rustling in the maze walls. Nadia looked in the direction of the noise but soon kept on walking. Then a soft chuckle echoed through the air. "Did you hear that?"

Kailyn stared at them for a moment, then shrugged. "I haven't taken Runes since my fourth year, so I'm a little rusty." She loosened her belt and tucked the sword in, since she didn't have a sheath. "Well," She said rather briskly. "Shall we go on? We'll be here all day at this rate!"
Severus snickered slightly at the sight of Gwin struggling to get the circlet off, but he reached out to 'help' pull it off anyways. As in, he thought that this was a 'drama queen' sort of affair. "As you wish, My Queen." He said, in a not so serious tone. The moment both of them were pulling, the circlet came off, only confirming his skepticism.

"Well, it would be kind of hard not to," Sirius answered, looking around for the source of noise. A loud 'caw' sounded, and his eyes widened. "Wow. Um. I heard that." He began to move towards where he thought the noise came from, but the unmistakable sound of tearing cloth came from the hem of his robe. Something very sharp was lying by the base of the wall, and it had snagged and cut a large crescent out of Sirius's robes, exposing his embarrasingly high knee-socks.
"Certainly we shall," answered Remus, continuing to walk until he heard the muffled cry of a bird. "Wonder what that was," he said, glancing down a passageway to see if the sound came from there.

Gwin didn't notice his tone, but was panting from the trying by herself. She looked at Severus in a rather pained way.
"'Your magesty-'" she took a long gulp of air, "My arse!" she hissed, and glared venomously at him.
She motioned to the circlet that now was between them.
"I'd like to see you try and put it on- And take it off." she nodded to herself.
She straitened, and looked around a bit.
"Don't worry. Noone would have to know about the Slytherin Prince trying on a tiara- Or whatever it is!"
Gwin shook her hand in a disgarding manner.
"Go ahead Sev, it dosen't bite." Gwin gave a sarcastic smile.

Sev gave her 'The Look', and turned away. "Whatever. Let's go." He said, back to his usual monotonial mantra. And not waiting for a reply, (Bad Sev! Rude....) he started walking. The tunnel took a turn, and with a swift glance back, he disppeared from Gwin's view. ( O: ) Around the cornor was a curious thing: A large boulder, off to the side, with a sword stuck in it. Severus looked at it, and graoned. "You have to be kidding me."
Kailyn strained her ears, then shrugged. "It sounded like a bird to me, but I've been wrong before." She touched her sword hilt, as if to make sure it was still there. To tell the truth, she was feeling quite more confident with it at her side, even if she did have her wand.

Nadia heard a ripping sound and turned to see a startled Sirius and his ripped robe. She covered her eyes. "It burns! It burns!" She scoffed. Nadia laughed hysterically. After laughing for what seemed like minutes, Nadia finally gained her composure(I've listened to veggie rock to much). "Now how did that happen?" Nadia giggled. "Ok, ok I'm done now. Really, I'm done." Nadia said as she was trying to catch her breath. Then she spotted a silver object at the base of the wall. Nadia wiped a tear from her eye and pointed to the object. "What's that?"

Remus nodded. "Something like it, anyway. Should we go find it?" he asked, already moving ahead and in another passage that branched off of their main course.
Sirius scowled at her, turning and tieing a large, nerdy knot in the middle of robe's tear. His socks her a horrible gray, and he tried not to make them overly conspicious. Well, they were knee-socks, and they were bound to be conspicious. "It's a...knife," he announced, moving towards it and picking it up. "And it's very sharp." He looked at Nadia jokingly. "Please, please, can we keep it?"
