~Rena~ gaia_nitemareleft "Heh... that won't be hard... although I'm not simply going to allow myself to fall so easily." Rena said with a demonic smile on her face, ready to battle against Lucius. She swiftly disappeared from where she was, then she reappeared near Lucius, just out of his line of sight, and started to gather energy from his aura. Rena used that absorbed energy to make a powerful bolt of dark energy, amplified by her own energy, and swiftly shot it at Lucius at point-blank range. Then she moved before he could touch her and summoned a bolt of fire energy, then shot it at him swiftly to hit his face. These were only meant to daze him for a short period of time so that she could take possession of his shadow and turn it into a monstrous living creature, almost as strong as one that Alucard could summon. Rena sent it straight at him, claws and teeth bared, ready to rip him apart if he couldn't find a way out. gaia_nitemareright ~Yami~ gaia_nitemareleft Yami listened to the battle that was happening and grew increasingly fearful for her daughter, Rena. She could barely see what was going on in the battle and it appeared that she was winning at the moment. However, Yami knew of Lucius's dark nature and she knew that he could easily find a weak spot to kill his target with ease. She only hoped that Rena would last until sunset, when she would be able to fight again. gaia_nitemareright

~Count Lucius~  gaia_nitemareleft Lucius had been beaten back a bit. "WONDERFUL! SIMPLY WONDERFUL!" He laughed loudly. "But this won't be enough to kill me!" He unsheathed his sword in an instant and swung it so fast and so hard that it created a slicing wind which cut the shadow clean in half and missed Rena by mere inches and destroying a stretch of forest. He then vanished and reappeared behind her in an instant. He leaned forward and whispered in her ear.. "Got any more?" His injuries had all healed. gaia_nitemareright

~Rena~ gaia_nitemareleft Rena saw the swiftness and force of his attack and how it cut through the shadow like it was nothing, then she saw Lucius disappear and felt his presence behind her, noticing that she has done no severe damage, not even a scratch. However, the fire attack did seem to do the most damage out of all of that. It did what it was supposed to do, which was to daze him for a few moments. Rena shivered when he whispered into her ear so sadistically, so demonically that she wondered if he was just a pureblood vampire or something more purely evil than that. She swallowed her fear and showed no emotion to keep him from seeing what she really felt. "Of course I do... what kind of vampire would I be if I didn't have another trick up my sleeve?" Rena replied before she swung her arm back and hit him in his chest with her elbow, knocking him back from her a few feet, turning as she did so. She then summoned a fearsome dragon, completely composed of fire, and sent it flying toward him swiftly. Just as it hit him, it would engulf him in a torrent of flames that could melt straight through the ground, but she kept it under her control and it only melted the ground a few feet deep. Rena kept this torrent of flames up for five minutes straight, making sure he was still trapped in the flames for the full duration. She stopped, feeling her energy running low, and looked at the sky. 'I need to hold out for a few more minutes... just a few more, and then I'll have some backup...' Rena thought to herself, seeing that there were only a few minutes left until sunset, at which point she would have time to gather strength. gaia_nitemareright ~Yami~ gaia_nitemareleft Yami felt a breeze blow past her as though a slicing wind has just blown through the forest. Her vision was returning, as well as her strength, as the area became darker and darker. She could see that Rena was holding out fairly well against Lucius, and that she was using all of her strength to keep him at bay. Yami commended her bravery and intelligence for facing Lucius and figuring out that fire was the best way to go if she wanted to do some damage. However, Yami saw that she was weakened by the last attack she used and once again feared for Rena's life. There were only a few minutes left until sundown, but Rena might not last that long. gaia_nitemareright

~Count Lucius~ gaia_nitemareleft Lucius was surprised at the young girl's flame attack. He was so overjoyed to have such a good opponent to get started with that he began to laugh even when the flames surrounded him and licked at his body. His laugh was low, but it echoed everywhere. He walked forward, out of the flames, his entire body and sword ablaze. But his glowing red eyes were still visible along with a hideous grin. His horrible gaze was fixed on Rena. It was as though he had just come from Hell itself. The flames began to die out. "Very good, young lady, very good indeed." He walked closer to her as his burns healed and dreadful aura grew. "Do not face me without looking into my eyes, face me with your eyes open to mine and tell me the truth.. Are you afraid? gaia_nitemareright

~Rena~ gaia_nitemareleft Rena heard Lucius laughing while he was being burned by her attack, something that appalled her and caught her completely off guard. She watched the flames die down from the gigantic torrent of flames she caused and saw Lucius emerge with severe burns, but the burns healed quickly and she stood in shock, absolutely speechless. 'How did he even survive?! It melted the ground around him... and he still lived! Where did I fail?!' Rena thought to herself, her mind in a state of panic because of not knowing what to do next. When he faced her with his horrible gaze, looking like he had just emerged from the depths of Hell, and told her to look at his eyes, she did so out of fear and saw their bright red glare. He looked so purely evil at that moment, that she just remained speechless and she knew that it was over. Rena was ready to admit defeat when he asked her to tell him the truth about if she was afraid while he walked toward her menacingly, showing no sign of mercy or remorse. "Yes... yes, I'm afraid! Afraid for my life, my family, and my kingdom! But... I also fear you... as I probably should have from the beginning, when you threw me with such force... but now... I can truly say that I gave it all I had. That's what matters. I fought for everything I loved... everything I loved more than my own life!" she yelled, crying while meeting his cold, relentless gaze. Rena truly had the spirit of a princess, one that would love and protect her kingdom with every breath she had and every fiber of her body. She knew when enough was enough, even though there were mere minutes left of sunlight. Rena would accept her death, no matter how slow and painful it would be. gaia_nitemareright ~Yami~ gaia_nitemareleft Yami heard what Rena said and cried a little, knowing that such words meant that she was giving up, surrendering to a monster. She saw Lucius, perfectly unscathed from all of the attacks Rena used on him, approaching her daughter and all she could do was watch, being too weak to stop him on her own. 'When we meet again, my dear daughter, I will never let you go again... I promise.' Yami thought to her daughter, seeing more tears flow down her cheeks after she knew that Rena heard her. She knew that the end was near for the her and the kingdom, so when the time came, she would simply give it her all and accept death the way Rena did. gaia_nitemareright

 " don't you get it getting revenge isn't the right thing to do yami and her people mean us no harm shes married to vaibe and hes a member of our clan. i though the clan was all one big happy family and family doesn't hurt family. i maybe to weak to fight you or even defeat you but i don't think this is what your dead parents would want. you don't know what happen to yami to turn her evil. your just being blinded by your hate." she was trembling with rage yet she wasn't trying to phase into her wolf form. fighting wasn't her thing but the way things look now it seems fighting Lucius was the only choice.

~Count Lucius~ gaia_nitemareleft Lucius stopped right in front of Rena who was shaking. He fell silent for a moment. "Young lady, I'm sure your mother knows this by now, but in case you don't then I feel that you should know, that THIS isn't anywhere near the depth of my true power." He looked back at Neko. "If you're thinking of fighting me, I suggest you reconsider. I will kill you. Further more, I don't care what the dead want nor for what reasons the Dark Queem became evil. They're trivial to me." He turned back to Rena. "Now, as for you my dear.." His hand reached out to her slowly.. and he patted her on her head. He smiled, but this time, it was a warm, disarming smile. The same way he smiled at Akari. "You did a wonderful job. Thank you for easing my boredom and helping to pass the time. Now rest" He turned to the castle and made another announcement. "Dark Queen! I have reconsidered my previous vow, I won't destroy this kingdom or it's subjects provided they don't get in my way. But When the sun sets, you will come and face me with all of your might!" gaia_nitemareright

Neko sighed in relief that Lucius called off the attacks then noticed Rena was banged up pretty bad from the fight and so was Yami. " i think these two need a medic" she said running over to Rena trying to stop her bleeding.

~Rena~ gaia_nitemareleft Rena saw him stop in fronting of her and slowly reach his hand toward her, trembling in thinking that this would be her death. She braced for it, but instead felt him gently pat her head and give her a disarming and warm smile as she looked at him. "I don't understand... why did you spare me, Count Lucius?" Rena asked as she looked at him with her Sharingan deactivated, her normal red eyes looking at his. She gave him a gentle, yet curious look, clearly confused by his actions, yet thankful that he didn't kill her. Rena felt Neko try to heal her, but she moved away slightly. "I'm fine... my injuries will heal with time. Besides, he only threw me against the wall... he didn't attack any further." she reassured Neko, smiling gently to let her know that she would be okay. gaia_nitemareright ~Yami~ gaia_nitemareleft Yami was waiting to hear Rena scream, but instead heard nothing of the sort. From what she could tell, Lucius has just shown Rena his mercy, at which she heaved a sigh of relief. Yami heard his announcement, and relaxed herself a little. Granted, she knew she would give up her life, but her kingdom would be safe. Yami felt that it was worth her life to save many more, and she may fight with all her strength, but she really wouldn't care. As long as she was dying to protect others, she felt that her life wouldn't be in vain. gaia_nitemareright

~Count Lucius~ gaia_nitemareleft Lucius turned back to Rena. "You remind me of my younger sister. You're strong, good hearted, and will fight for others at the cost of your own life. I like that. However, it won't stop me from achieving the vengeance I seek. Your mother will pay for taking everything from me. And if anyone gets in my way, they will fall." He turned back to the castle and yelled. "Now Dark Queen, Nightfall is upon us! Ready yourself!" gaia_nitemareright

 Varieb had noticed he had hurt Yami"I am sorry dear but now i must fight him." Varieb goes up to the count"Now this time you will fight me, i am king of the dark kingdom and it will be right of me to fight you since you are a king yourself, a king like battle will be perfect since i am actually not using my full power you are only facing 50 percent if i unleash my full power, i may burn everything around me that it would cause the ground to melt and become a great big cavern." Varieb then flicks his finger which fire creates a fire whip and he has the whip hit the ground near count causing it to explode up a fire pillar underneath him, and does several whip slashes at count trying to leave a fire mark on his skin which can cause a three degree burn. Nikki heard the announcement from Varieb and that he would seek to fight the count and beat him. Nikki though did not feel fear but calm believing in Varieb to get victory towards the count and when night falls Rena and Yami would join the fight to help Varieb against him but yet he knows that Varieb would not want them in the way of his fight.

Neko sighed in relief "thank goodness that you'll heal fast as for your mother is she okay?" she said looking over at Yami. but she couldn't help but wonder why Lucius wanted yami dead but yet didn't kill off Rena.

A grin crossed his face as he bowed to Varieb politely. "How wonderful! A battle between two Dark Lords. Oh but please don't be so courteous Dark King. By all means, use your full power. I promise that I won't disappoint you either. I want to be pushed to my limits but I've never found a worthy opponent for that. Perhaps you could entertain me for a bit before I exact my vengeance on your Queen. " His eyes glew bright red as he grinned even more, showing his sharp teeth. Varieb then thinks about how much he wants revenge and also thinks about the possibly of a group that might of tricked the dark kingdom and the vampire kingdom to attack one another"Let me ask you something were there other groups that may have attacked your vampire kingdom like vampire hunters?" Varieb asked with a serious tone to him. Varieb remembers when the dark kingdom was under siege by vampire hunters and it took quite bit of time to hold them off.Nikki heard the question about if any other group attacked the vampire kingdom and if that group had tricked the dark kingdom and vampire kingdom to have a war and be fighting to the furious end.

~Rena~ gaia_nitemareleft Rena smiled gently when Lucius was talking to her, seeing that he wasn't entirely evil. He seemed kind toward her, but when someone pissed him off... he started acting more aggressive. "She'll heal, too... after all, the sun has set and the shadows have fallen upon us. She can use the shadows to recover." she told Neko before approaching Lucius. Rena was a little nervous at first since her father just made him aggressive again, but she still proceeded to grab the edge of Lucius's sleeve and tug it a little like a child would in an attempt to get his attention without further aggravating him. "I'm not trying to get in your way, but I thought I would tell you a couple of things. My name is Rena, and your younger sister is very lucky to have a brother like you... I don't have any siblings, so I don't know what it feels like to have a brother that cares about me." she admitted shyly to Lucius, hoping that he would calm down for a few moments to talk to her and maybe let her hug him like she secretly wanted to do. Rena thought of him as an older brother that she never had, but she didn't want to say anything of the sort until he was calm enough to not want to hurt her. gaia_nitemareright ~Yami~ gaia_nitemareleft Yami saw the sun set and her vision had completely returned, then she started to gather the shadows around her and use them to heal herself while trying to gain the power and strength to face Lucius. She wasn't about to die willingly, but when it came time for him to kill her, she would accept her fate and die peacefully. After all, Yami had a pretty decent life while Varieb was with her and even though it was short, it was well worth protecting. gaia_nitemareright
