King of the Colliseum Quest: [1/12] Volpeo Fenris v.s. Gigantos
Sorry for not posting for a long time! Been really busy with this arc
Gigantos Difficulty: Easy
As Volpeo's hit connected with the Gigantos's gauntlet, the gauntlet cracked inward before shattering causing shards of metal to spray in every direction. The remnants of the gauntlet sloughed off of the creature's hand and clanged to the ground much like its helmet. Volpeo was having success knocking its armor off though it was still mostly uninjured with only slight burn marks on its hand. It came at the kitsune again, raising its arms and opening its palms. The bright yellow glow began to shine brightly again within the tubes as the beast prepared to fire.

King of the Colliseum Quest: [1/12] Volpeo Fenris v.s. Gigantos
As he succeeded in taking one of the gauntlets off, Gigantos was indeed barely scratched.
" hmmm now where was I? ... oh that's right "
Getting 2 sacred flames, he would now kick the beat's wrist to send his hand to point his face, if Gigantos continued with the attack he would shot himself, otherwise he would just smack his own face.
(I will hit them with an invisible... THING!) lol You're alright. So, about this mission with Melani... Did it happen before this? I'm trying to figure out how to arrange the timeline here.
Oh yeah, and is there anything special you want me to do with the DMs? I was gonna send two into the throne room to talk about the merger.

She's fast!
Illo
Illo could blame being caught off guard by Carmen's speed on his overconfidence, but there was only so much that could cover for. Carmen was a lot faster than the monk was or could account for, covered the distance between them quickly.
The mystic was set ablaze by the green incendiary energy, but Carmen was still coming. He couldn't stay in that burning cloak any longer, so he teleported out of it. All that would be left was some green, glowing cloth that looked quite like a Roman candle (with the religious jokes), and Illo standing on the ground somewhere below. Well, standing is a strong word. He was actually on one foot in a perfect tree pose. He shifted one leg up near his head and held it with his hand, while his other hand reached out the other way, palm up, as if to catch the dripping dew of some heavenly field.

King of the Colliseum Quest: [1/12] Volpeo Fenris v.s. Gigantos
Gigantos Difficulty: Easy
The Gigantos stumbled backwards as Volpeo released his attack, knocking the giant's hand upwards and towards its face. The giant barely had time to roar in surprise before its hand cannon fired right next to it. Although it wasn't a direct hit, the cannon's power blew a huge chunk off the beast's face. Blood sprayed in every direction and the Gigantos managed to let out a gurgled roar. When the red mist of blood cleared, the Gigantos's face was ruined. It could only see out of one eye and it was no longer able to fully open its mouth. It was bleeding profusely as it stumbled around, attempting in vain to find Volpeo.
Volpeo examined the beast's new flanks before dashing against the wounded skull and propel another empowered kick.
"tch! "
Bracing himself he dashed against his target expecting to finish the fight with that last hit.

Illo v.s. Carmen Laurell
Carmen Laurell Difficulty: Hard
Carmen stopped in the air and roundhouse kicked the burning cloak, making sure Illo wasn't using some secret technique to stay hidden in it. When she saw it was empty she looked around before noticing him on the ground below her. "Wha...?" She said in surprise, looking down at the strange pose Illo made. "Ummm....what are you doing...?" She asked, genuinely confused."Are you like, going to use another invisible attack or something?"
Abilities used:
Hard - These opponents are very experienced and talented fighters. They are somewhere between graduate level and Death Scythe level in strength. Unless you are a Death Scythe or otherwise extremely strong, your chances of winning one-on-one are possible, but slim. You should strongly consider bringing a partner/ally to this fight.
King of the Colliseum Quest: [1/12] Volpeo Fenris v.s. Gigantos
Gigantos Difficulty: Easy
The Gigantos was unable to block Volpeo's next attack. It was clear that the beast was finished. Volpeo's kick landed dead on and the beast stumbled backwards, its head snapping to the side. There was a brief pause before the Gigantos slowly fell like a massive tower, finally landing on the ground with a final, earth-shaking slam. There was a loud buzzing sound, signifying the end of the match before the arena fell silent.
VICTORY: Volpeo Fenris!

Illo
The monk responded with a delay, being so heavily entranced was one of the minor setbacks of his power up style. That would be a little boring, wouldn't it? Illo put his leg down.
I want to compare our fighting styles, just hand-to-hand, for now. Let's get warmed up! The monk focused his chi (soul wavelength if you must) and took off from the ground at a frightening speed. The attack came in the form of Illo swinging the back of his hand, which was bent, over his head and down like a sledge hammer.

Illo v.s. Carmen Laurell
Carmen Laurell Difficulty: Hard
"Um, I guess...?" Carmen asked, still clearly confused. She nodded at Illo's next statement, a grin on her face. A good hand-to-hand fight would be exciting. "Let's do it!" She cheered. She got ready as Illo came back up at her at blinding speed. Although she had enough time to dodge his attack, the simple fact of the matter is that his attack was so bizarre and surprising that all she managed to do was make a surprised expression before his attack hit her in the head sending her shooting downwards. She managed to get control of herself and land on her feet, cracking the ground beneath her. "Ouch! What the heck was that!?" She said, grabbing the top of her head where his attack had landed. She looked up at Illo, a small smile forming on her face. "Okay Mister, let's do it!" She shot upwards again towards Illo but instead of coming right for him she streaked past him in a stream of green energy, hoping to cause burn damage to him just from the proximity of the ability. She quickly changed direction, bursting towards him in a second Streamer attack. She tried another roundhouse kick before throwing several punches at his torso to try and throw him off balance.
Abilities used:
+Streamer: Carmen can use her resonance force to quickly accelerate in any direction. When she does so she's surrounded by a stream of bright green energy, protecting her from projectile attacks and hurting anyone who gets too close. It can be used as a ramming attack though that's not its main purpose. It is extremely helpful for dodging or deflecting ranged attacks
Illo floated there a dozen yards above the arena with a cocky smirk on his face. He didn't expect such an outcome, but then again, he'd been training with people well acquainted with white crane moves.
It's called White Crane... You haven't seen it before?
Hm, now that's what I like to hear! Come at with everything you've go--! Illo was cut off mid word by a streaking comet of hot spirit energy. His left side felt like it got poked with a cattle brand, and the monk winced a bit. The pain seemed to snap him out of his gloat and back into the fight, however, because he quickly regained a fix on Carmen's position.
When the round house came, Illo put an arm up to block like a normal person would do. But instead of a normal block, Illo took it a step further by ducking his head down. That way when the kick came, if it was strong enough to blast through his guard, it would sail on over his head. Illo would then be set up with a counter, a side kick to Carmen's midsection. Regardless of the outcome of that sidekick, Illo would proceed to dodge and block most the punches without looking too frazzled.
Whoa... Hey, now... Careful, you might hurt someone with that! Illo teased as he kept backing up in the air steadily.

Illo v.s. Carmen Laurell
Carmen Laurell Difficulty: Hard
"Nope, I've never been pecked in the head before," Carmen told Illo as she threw her roundhouse kick only for it to go over him. Illo's side kick landed dead on but Carmen bent sideways with it, allowing a lot of the force to travel with her body rather than through it. But despite the direct hit, Carmen didn't seem bothered. Instead her smile grew slightly wider. Before she had launched her initial attack, she had activated her Empathy Link ability meaning that a third of the damage that would gone to her from Illo's kick would now go to him instead. As this happened her attacks suddenly increased in speed, throwing several more punches before aiming an underarm punch directly at Illo's stomach.
Abilities used:
+Empathy Link: By focusing her wavelength, Carmen can resonate with her opponent, transferring a third of the damage she receives to them. This works much better on stronger opponents who do more damage. This ability requires a lot of concentration and sufficient damage/pain/mental attacks can break the resonance link, freeing the enemy from its effects.
[[No prob. I always meant to get back to it, just wanted to finish off the arc first!]]
Gotcha. Glad you got your own arc and everything. Is it ok if I play my robots again? They were meant to be autonomous as it was.
Let me know when you're ready for the illusory lead.
what happened:
Illo
Illo couldn't help feeling a sudden shockwave rocket through his core. It isn't everyday that an opponent can throw your force back at you, after all. That opened him up to a series of punches to the face and chest. Fortunately for him, the surprise of getting hit with his own attack wore off just it time for Illo to start reading Carmen's moves. He turned to the left, and the body shot went on past him like a charging bull.
Not quite, he said before teleporting a few yards away from Carmen.
That's an interesting trick... It's cheating, but interesting. The monk fell back into an old-timey boxing stance.
You're form isn't bad... But it could be better! Illo charged in faster than before and began picking, very accurately, jabs at Camen's head, making his way around her in circles. He was more or less just keeping her at bay with his reach, as it was superior using this style, and waiting for an opening to present itself.
