"But..." He seemed to decide against whatever he had planned to say, however, and only showed his fangs at the dappled gray cub before turning and bounding back toward the den.
"Jax? I thought you were at the waterhole?" Brooke said, surprised as Jax returned in a hurry. Jax shook his head sulkily and padded away into a corner and flopped down. She peered out of the mouth of the den, seeing Areli carrying a limp gray form in her mouth. "Is she... Ugh, Jaaaaax!" Brooke snapped at him as she leapt from the den.
She met with Areli about halfway back to the den, nosing at the form she carried. "Who is that?"

Areli gave Brooke that look like... I can't exactly talk right now... She motioned to the den, and then kept walking. She got to the edge of the den, laying Cade down infront of her, before also laying down herself. "It's Jax's brother." she said, looking at the little grey kit infront of her.

"Jax's brother? You mean Cade? But... Jax hates his brother!" Brooke said, with a puzzled blink. She nosed at the cub gently. "He's still out..."
"What'd I miss?" Shey asked, cheerfully for once, as she popped into the den with a little jump. "Oh." She said, seeing the little gray cub lying on the ground. "He's out. That's easy, just splash a little water on him." She said, with a nod. "If you don't mind..." She plucked him up from the ground, and turned out again, headed for the waterhole.
"Come on." Brooke said to Areli, motioning for Jax to come along too. The brown cub grumbled and rose sulkily to his paws, padding slowly after her.

Jax paused, looking back at the slow Jax. She rolled her eyes, stepping back, then picking him up by the scruff, without warning. She then fallowed after Shey and Brooke, getting to the lake. She plopped Jax down infront of her and looked at him. "Don't you hurt your brother while he is here." she warned, before nosing his head, and looking at Cade. "Poor little guy..." she murmured. "He needs to stay here... until hes better..." she murmured, glancing back at Jax.

Rellick would have snarled or grolwed at her words "Mother, no wants me." but he didn't want to scare her. With a nod he nuzzled her gently, trying to reassure her.
"I'll take care of you, little Synda." He murmured, and picked her up gently.
Stepping to the waters edge he batted at the crystal surface three times with a mighty forepaw and no distubance wracked the lake. It was as smooth as glass..
Good.. That meant Dashira would come, he needed to ask her a few questions.
Turning back toward the Pride he began to carry the tiny Synda to safety, and wondered where they could make a kill in a hurry.
As though the Sun Antelope and Moon Lioness had heard his thoughts, Jadera appeared on the horizon, a young gazelle draped across her back. She smiled at the sight of her brother and watched him approach, pondering at the little kit in his jaws.
The look in his golden eyes told her to wait until they were back at the Den, so they walked side by side in silence. Feeling she had to speak to the forlorn cub, Jade broke it.
"Poor Little One... Where did you wander from?" She asked in a soft, kind whisper.

She looked up at the Scarlet King and blinked slightly. He seemed so unlike the pide males she was with. Something in his eyes told her that he could be trusted. Synda still couldn't help but cringe as he picked her up in his mighty jowls. She hung limp for a moment kinda tired and thankful for the carry. Synda suddenly noticed the lioness beside her. She squeaked a little and tried to hide putting her forepaws infront of her face. After a while, she peeked from one of them and saw that this one ment no harm, like the male that was carrying her. Sniffling a little, she managed to speak. "I...I come f-f-from..Outlands...I'm...S-Synda..." The little cub was still deathly shy and she didn't exactly know what they were gonna do to her. Though, by these two, she saw the intentions were good.

Whoahey!" Jax felt himself suddenly lift. He scowled a little. He didn't particularly love being picked up.
The waterhole. If he had just come here, maybe done of this would have happened. He was plopped down as they neared it, watching sullenly.
"He has to WHAT?!" Jax leapt up, his fur bristling. "Nuh uh! He's not staying!"
Shey splashed some water on the gray cub's face. "Why, of course he's staying, Jax, look at him!" She frowned when he didn't stir, and splashed a little more water on his face. The cub's eyelids fluttered. Shey nodded once. "Alright, he should be fine."
"Wow, where'd you learn that stuff?" Brooke asked in wonderment. "We would've just left him to recover on his own. I never would've thought water could wake him up so fast."
Shey shrugged. "You grow up taking care of someone else... You gotta learn." She paused, nosing at the cub, who moaned a little in response. "Let's bring him back and see what Rellick thinks.

Jadera gave the little cub a smile. "Well you've come to a much lovelier place, Little Synda."
She glanced at her brother. "My big brother will protect you.. I'm Jade by the way.. My full name is Jadera..."
Rellick gave his sister a wink and then crested the last hill to the cave, eyeing his fellow Pride Members. He stepped ahead of Jadera, leading her to the den where Synda could eat in peace. Setting her down gently, he glanced over his shoulder at the milling Pride Members, then back to the cub. "Don't be afraid of anyone here.. No harm will come to you... I promise."
Jadera set the antelope down and ripped part of it open so Synda could get at the tender meat.
"Eat up Little One." She encouraged.

Synda looked over at the two lions. They did look alike in some way and she knew she could trust them. Standing up on her feet she looked at the other lioness for a moment. "Ja..Jade..Jadera!" She nodded. "Jadera!" Alright, one name down. She looked over at the King and shot him a questioning glance. "King..you name, King?" She asked? Her tail waved as she then looked at the food. Stepping over to it slowly, she chewed a little on the foreleg of the carcass. Her baby teeth took a while, but she managed to rip an opening for her to feed off of. After a little bit, she looked back at the two adults.

Jadera smiled and nodded. "Yes.. That's right. I'm Jadera."
She watched the cub eat with a little smile, thinking how she would love cubs of her own.
Rellick chuckled. "King.. No.. Little Synda, most call me Rellick.. Or Rell..."
He gave a little bow. "Whichever you prefer."
Seeing her brother smiling at the young cub, Jade turned her eyes toward the entrance, looking for Jay. The Dark Prince was no where to be seen, but a little green cub that reminded Jadera of her mother was sitting in the entrance of the cave.
"Rellick.. There's your kit..." She murmured, smiling at her niece.
Rellick glanced over his shoulder and beamed. "Naharia! Angel come here and meet someone!"
Naharia gave a beam and trotted over, tail waving, to purr and rub againt her father's foreleg. "Yes Daddy?"
"You remember your Aunt, Jadera..." He said with a smile. "Jade, this is my daughter... And this little kit is Synda."
Naharia beamed at Jadera. "Hello Aunt Jade..."
She turned to the new kit with a grin. "Hello Synda.. I'm Naharia.. Wanna be friends?"
"Hello Sweety." Jade laughed.

After her fill, the cub licked her paws and mouth clean. Looking up at the big lion, she mewed. "Rell..Rellick. Rellick!" She nodded then looked over at the new cub. Her head tilted to her left side in interest as her tail waved again. Stepping a little bit closer, she gave a small nod. "Yes. Friends. I like friends. Na...Naha..Naharia be my friend." She gave a little giggle and finally gave a full toothed grin. Synda would like it here alot and she knew she would be protected. She then looked up at Rellick and Jadera. "Thank you...Un...Uncle Rellick...A..Aunt Jadera..." She blinked a little then looked back at Naharia. "Family? We...family?" She blinked a little wondering if this was the right word.

"Rell, we have something here." Brooke stopped, seeing the tan and green cub, and instinctively, her eyes narrowed. "Outlander..." She muttered to herself. She was like that - she had seen too much too young, and she knew these things instinctively. And she didn't trust the cub.
But she swept the matter aside as Shey came up behind her with Cade. She laid him on the floor, in the shade. Brooke took her gaze off of the tan kit, and looked at Rellick. "He's Jax's brother." She said softly as Jax padded into the den. He saw his brother, and with a scowl, padded to the opposite side of the den, as far away from Cade as he could get.

Areli walked over with the others, looking down at Cade. "I, could take care of him, like I do Jax." she said, glacing further in the den, where she had seen Jax pad off to. She sighed lightly, nosing the poor cub infront of them.

"If you think you can take care of both of them." Brooke said, somewhat hesitantly. She glanced over to the brown cub who had become like a brother to her, and she could clearly see just how much he detested the gray cub that was his half brother. She sighed, shaking her head. "I wonder if he'll ever learn to just accept his brother."

Areli also sighed. "We'll just have to see...." she said, nosing Cade lightly, before looking up at Rellick. "As I said... I can watch over him, and his brother, until the time comes that one of them chooses to leave." she said.
