Groovin and snoozin'.

It's irksome to be asked what you're doing in university, only to be given a perplexed look when you answer. Someone remind me what the point of a BA is, again?

Flippin' burgers with articulate ways to offer fries with them?

The. Damn. Pepsi. Song. I've had it stuck in my head for a week. And it doesn't help that in every one of my classes there's at least one person that can whistle the entire thing. :X (Newton's "Streamline")

A birthday was me!

Yesterday marked my 18th trip 'round the sun, and I was rewarded with $80, a new watch, a sketchbook, and a plastic rectangle.

I mean laptop computer!

It is actually a legitimate concern. A BA doesn't train you for anything in particular. It just broadens your base knowledge and critical thinking capacities. I in no way detest education, but the practical reality of life is all about the big cha-ching.

There's some actual substance from which the "Arts major working in a fast-food restaurant" stereotype is derived.

And sounding dumb? That's my thing. What're you, new here?

I think she is new, lets flame her and call her a noob until she leaves in tears!!!!
The perfect sunday afternoon activity, in my books.

And I share the concern about what you can with a Ba. Which is why I'm trying to major in Journalism. It seems like the only course I can take that has any practical uses, unless I try and be a professor, which I won't.

However, I have seen some job postings that were looking for someone with a Ba, as well as anyone with more specialized training, andt they weren't at McDonalds. So it's not like there aren't any jobs for graduates with a Ba, but, they're just a little harder to find maybe. They're there though, I believe.
If they're not, you can always take a two year community college course or something like that.

Or learn to be a trucker. That only takes like a month.

I find for myself that community college is much more practical if you hate writing papers, hate sitting through lectures, and/or hate studying for hours on end. I hate all three of those things biggrin Plus why would I spend tens of thousands of dollars on university when I can spend under ten thousand going to community college. On top of that, it's just not practical for me to go to university to become a graphic designer.

I suppose I could've gone to the art university here, but that would cost way more, and they get all touchy feely about things gonk
