Teikou The instructions I just listed will not harm your computer at all, you just need to figure out how to run a virus scan sweatdrop I don't know how to run a virus scan crying Rhi found a updated engine and DAT file it says I need to get rid of the virus but I don't understand. Dad has told me that I don't need to update engine files, only DAT files and I just updated that to the most recent one this morning. So, shouldn't I be able to get rid of it?

It says I need to have the DAT file 4172 but I have a newer one, 4538. To me, this means that my DAT file should be able to fix it seeing as it is a newer one. I just don't understand any of this. Is it a good idea to qaurantine the virus until my dad comes home? I want him to at least think I did one thing right... crying

This is what it does when I try and fix it:
Clean The file C biggrin ocuments and SettingsMelissaApplication DataMozillaFirefoxProfilesdefault.ca6Cache_CACHE_001_ 000fb9c.js could not be cleaned. Please delete the infected file.
Delete The file "0000fb9c.js" could not be deleted. Please check access rights to media where the file is located.
Quarantine Unable to move the file C biggrin ocuments and SettingsMelissaApplication DataMozillaFirefoxProfilesdefault.ca6Cache_CACHE_001_ 000fb9c.js to the quarantine folder.
I don't know what to do, the only other thing left to do is to exclude it. Is that a good idea?

Teikou It's just a javascript file in temp internet folder? o_o Try going to Internet Explorer --> Tools --> Internet Options --> Temporary Internet File Settings button or similar --> Delete Temporary Internet Files button or similiar I could clear it in IE but not in MozillaFirefox. It comes up saying that there is a virus warning when I try and clear my cache in MF. The file also specifies that it is in MF, and clearing IE did not stop it. I tried accessing the file in windows explorer and it came up with a virus warning.

Try and exclude it then? Or maybe you could uninstall Firefox completely and reinstall? If you know the name of the virus you can try googling a manual solution to getting rid of it too 3nodding Oh and I never knew temp internet files were separate between IE and MF, just discovered after a quick check then how to get rid of the cached files, I've been trying to find that option on MF for like ever since I got the browser sweatdrop

I confess that I, indeed, have an unexplainable addiction to 2-minute noodles.
Mmmm, preservatives. *drools*
