Carol smiled. "He's not that heavy" she giggled as she shifted the boys weight so that she could hold him in one arm. "Pancakes..." She repeated teh girls response. "Well....with a little help Im sure we could fill that order.." Carol said looking up at the ceiling again, bouncing the boy up and down in her arms as he slept. She turned to paine. "Hows that sound? You know how to make Pancakes?" She asked and turned back to the fae child. "Well...youde have to show us where all the supplies were..." she started and then looked very seriouse. "And it has to be ok with your mom. We dont want to get you in trouble for eating something you shouldnt."

"Pancakes...yeah I can make those" Paine said, nodding her head. She then looked at Carol. "Pancakes are fairly easy to make" she said to her. She then turned her attention to Kizzy. "If you hurry, then we can make pancakes right now!" she said, smiling at the fae. "Hmmm...Pancakes in the evening.....interesting" she said, chuckling to herself.

"Mommy won't mind. She makes me pancakes!" Tearing across the room Kizzy headed towards the pantry. Tiptoeing to see on the higher shelves she started looking for pancakes. "Dey came out of here! I saw em." Turning around quickly to check the other side of the room her spikes caught and tore open a bag of sugar and knocked off a few random jars of food onto the floor where they promptly shattered. Looking down under her arm at the mess that was suddenly all over the floor Kizzy opted for an old foolproof excuse that has always worked all through out the history of the entire world. "I didn't do it!!"

At hearing kizzys wonderful Excuse Carol ran to where the child was and stared at her stiffling a giggle. She smiled. "Ill clean this up for you little lady..." she smiled. "Go on up and see if you can get paine to come down here and help me. oh...Could you take him there to?" she asked motioning to Kapono and looked around the room for a broom or something to use to clean this mess. "We should clean this up before someone comes down. If anyone asks...I did it...ok?" she spoke with a giggle remembering all the times that her brothers and sisters had taken the blame for her when she was kizzys age. "Now...Go on.." she smiled. "Ill see if i can find the supplies while Im down here" she spoke and offered the boy to kizzy, hoping he would be lite enough for her to get him at LEAST to paine.

Kizzy grinned happily at Carol, though as she carried Kapono off towards Paine it started to look something more like a smirk. Quite self-satisfied with how easily she slipped out of a scolding the little girl strutted (as well as she could with the baby in her arms) up to Paine and proclaimed loudly that she was needed by Carol. "Take him too! But put him on da floor or somethin'. Or on da counter! I'll make sure he doesn't fall off er nuthin'! Not like he really moves er anythin'." She just couldn't be expected to carry the child everywhere, she thought to herself. But she was determined to keep a very close eye on him, incase he started to fiddle with the weather again.

Meanwhile back at the ranch, erm, Zee's house, Sai was getting the feeling that perhaps she shouldn't have let Kizzy go off all on her own. Remembering the recent events she started to feel rather panicky and worried about her little girl. Something didn't feel quite right in the pit of her stomach and she wasn't sure what that meant.

Hisakata smiled and brought Xue-Lien outside of the tea house. Xue-Lien grinned and followed when suddenly her stomach started to grumbled. Xue-Lien looked up at Hisakata mischeviously. "Okay, we'll go to the tavern for a quick meal. Alrighty?" Hisakata pat Xue-Liens' head, who nodded gleefully. "Yes!" She said before running off before her mother. "Xue-Lien! Wait!" She called after the little fae. "What?" Xue-Lien turned around to look at her mother. "Just walk, no need to run okay?" Hisakata noted, smiling. Xue-Lien made a face but walked along side her mother. "I think you'll like the food at the tavern." Hisakata mentioned, not looking away from the road. "Really?" Xue-Lien asked looking up at Hisakata. "Yeah it's good food. I believe you've been there before haven't you?" Hisakata wondered, her memory was faulty. "No." Xue-Lien apparently didn't quite remember either for her face showed she was trying to remember. The two stopped talking and continued to walk. Xue-Lien was uncomfortable with the silence and kept making faces.Hisakata saw one of the faces and stopped walking. Xue-Lien didn't notice and kept walking so Hisakata had to catch up with her. "Are you okay?"She asked quietly. Xue-Lien suddenly pointed. "Look! THat tavern?" She asked, grinning wide. Hisakata smiled and nodded. "yep. Let's go in."

She smiled and nodded. "Yes. I am quite Thirsty and a little hungry.." She says. "But...Since I'm new here and if your not too busy right now, do you mind showing me around..?" She says and bit her lip nervously.

Cirisse smiled, 'Sure! I haven't visited some places in the village yet, so it'll be kind of exploring for me aswell!' She giggled.

Cordain heaved a yawn and thunked his head down upon the bartop, if anyone entered he would awaken quickly due to being a light sleeper. Either way, he was asleep and used the bartop for a pillow, complete with dreams.

Within Cordain's dreamscape he was ten years old as he stood in line with the other children, all of the same age as him. Many masked men walked up and down the row of children. Silently they tapped some of them upon the shoulder, for some this was relief, escape from the life their families had doomed them too. For others however, this was their worst nightmare, these were the ones who loved the first half of their training.

He was one of those who hated it, given over to the Solaris Combine's Demon Hunting forces at birth by what he believed to be an uncaring and spiteful family. He was raised since then, by the Solaris Combine, his childhood spent training. While normal children played in the streets like normal eight and nine year olds, he hunted down traitors who hid themselves among the combine with his tutor, and killed them. After all, no one believed the stories of child assassins.

The masked men finally departed, he was left untapped, as were twenty or so other children. The ones who were tapped quickly left the field. Those that remained, were that years newest Demon Hunters, and soon they would begin field training, their minds would snap and they would become numb to horrors that gave nightmares to most men.

Cordain snapped awake just as he fell off of his stool, the bottle of apple cider he still had in hand ended up tipped over and emptying it's contents upon the back of Cordain's head. He uttered a groan before he rolled over and took several gulps of cider before it was all wasted.

----

Nekura was fast asleep, or so it appeared, in truth he was caught in a nightmarish dream. He laid there and watched in his dreams every memory he had of his mother Crimson, from the first time he saw her after he hatched, to her handing him over to Chiaku before she departed the village.

He felt his heart breaking and the coldness all over again, the feelings of being abandoned as he watched it all in replay. There was nothing he could do to wake up or cease watching, he was trapped until something woke him.

That something came in the loud crash of Cordain downstairs as he fell off of his stool. Nekura snapped his eyes open and curled tighter around his mask, snug beneath the covers of his bed. He was afraid to back to sleep now, afraid he'd have to relive it all again, the worst moment in his life that he had based his decision to hate humans upon.

Rein smiled at Cirisse. "Thank you!" She replied happily. "I guess I should leave my stuff here.." She says as she placed her stuff near the corner. She then rubbed her hands together as she looked back at Cirisse. "Well then..Lets go!" She replied cheerfully.

Cirisse smiled, 'Okay! Oh wait ... just a second.' She ran over to the chair she had been sitting in, and grabbed her guitar. She waved to Carol and Kapono, 'See you later, Carol. Bye Kapono!'

She turned to Rein, 'Alright, let's go.' She turned to the Inn door, and the two left to explore the town.

When they were outside, Cirisse looked at the sky, 'Oh, getting cloudy ... anyways, which way do you want to go first?'

Kizzy wasn't quite sure how long it would be until the pancakes would be ready and just watching Kapono would be boring. Remembering her drawing from earlier Kizzy had the sudden urge to draw some more. "I'll be right back!" She bounded up the stairs and skipped back to her room and started to look for her paper and crayons.

Nekura growled before he started thrashing about, "...I just want to sleep!" he shouted out, just a moment before he rolled out of bed and thumped down upon the floor. He groaned as he was now on the floor, with a foot caught and twisted up in the bed sheets.

Cordain took a wet rag to get the apple cider out of his head, having moved to the kitchen. He returned to the main room of the inn and smiled at everyone there, "Sorry for um...making a mess." he stated. He grabbed the mop and began to clean up the apple cider from the floor, "Can I get any of you anything else besides stew?"

Rein looked over at Cirisse. "I'm not sure. But since I am alittle hungry, any places that sells something to eat..?" SHe asked as she looked up in the sky with her hands behind her head. She could feel her stomach slightly growl and hoped nobody else could hear.

Somewhere outside of her room Kizzy heard the thud of someone falling on the floor. With the crayons and paper clutched tightly in her one hand the little child reached with her free hand to open the door. Peering out into the hallway she looked for signs of life. "No one here...." Listening quietly for other noises Kizzy sneaked towards the room where the loud sound had originated. Listening to the groans from the other side of the door Kizzy figured that Seriva's mother had been moved in. That would mean that mommy was inside! Kizzy turned the doorknob and pulled the door open wide.

Nekura jumped as the door opened and flipped over as best as he could. He basically had to throw himself from where he was to reach his mask and put it upon his face. Once masked he whipped towards Kizzy and blinked at her, "...You're not the human Cordain...You're..."

He looked confused as he moved over to Kizzy and examined her, "You were in the forest with everyone else...You're another fae aren't you?" he asked. He was curious because he'd only briefly seen Shin Daiko, and was only around Seriva a couple times, so other fae were still a mystery to him.
