goofydoodler Lima_Bean_Man ((Gah. Who else is excited about spring!?)) What's wrong with you woman, the cold sucks!!! However, I like the fall. It's never cold in the fall here. We have what you call Indian summer. Hot until the first freeze. I hate summer in Alabama though. Too hot sweatdrop .

Nic returned Gerard’s hug and followed him to the couch where she sat down/. She glanced around the room and noticed little piles of things and guessed that he had been cleaning up. She laughed, “You didn’t have to clean up. I’m sure my room’s way more messy than yours was.” She smiled nervously, eyes darting from the couch to him. “So, what’s up? Do you want me to go beat Mikey up for you?” Her eyes flashed with hope at the thought of giving Mikey just one good smack. It was going to take a long time for her to get over the water thing…

Frank watched Aututmn out of the corner of his eye, pretendind to be mildly interested in the movie. For some reason David Bowie in really tight breeches could only hold his attention for so long and he found himself focusing on the girl at the end of the couch. If he was really honest with himself, he’d realize that he’d never really been in thihs type of situation before- one where he might be falling for a girl. He was just goofy, hyper active Frank, not a chick magnet. He was genuinely surprised when Autumn crawled over and laid her head on his shoulder, but he hid it expertly as he wrapped an arm around her, effectively creating a cuddle. He smiled at her comment, replying with “Really? I wouldn’t know. I’m usually using other people as pillows.”

You just made my day. I was thinking about mentioning something about that in my post, but was like, naw.

((Sorry 'bout not posting last night, my mom wanted on.))
Autumn laughed, "I noticed."
She sighed contentedly, then actually started to half-watch the movie.
At the end she pulled him up off the couch and started to slow dance and imatate David Bowie's voice.
Before long she started laughing, out of breath and no longer able to hold a British accent.
She sat down on the couch again and messed up her hair.
"Do you want to watch the special features or...?" she asked, not sure what to do now.

"No. Don't smack him, maybe open up his brain and do some experiments or something. He's really confusing me. He's been all moody lately, and now he's not, which is good, but he wants be to ask Jay is she likes him. What am I? In eighth grade? Well, he is, was. Jesus." Gerard talked fast and didn't seem to make very much sense.
"Anyway, want something to eat or drink?" he smiled. For now he'd just forget about Mikey, think about Nic. When Mikey came back later he'd explain.

Frank’s voice was caught in his throat for a moment when Autumn asked her question and he had to wait for a while to answer. He cleared his throat as quietly as he could and for the first time in a long time in the company of others, he flushed a light red. “Um, we can if you want…” He was still reeling from the dance and Autumn’s voice soft at his ear. His blush deepened a bit, and he hoped she didn’t notice.
((Ha. Check my attempt at romance. I’m awesome. lol biggrin )

Nic politely declined Gerard’s offer of refreshments and suddenly scooted closer to him and rested her head on his shoulder. “Nah, I’m good. I went out with the rest of the guys to a vegan restaurant, and I got a hamburger on the way back.” She laughed slightly then returned briefly to the Mikey topic. “Don’t worry so much about Mikey. I think perhaps he’s just going through that awkward ‘preteen’ phase. But enough about Mikey… What’s up with you? Do you need me to track down some chick and ask her if she likes you? ” A big grin spread on her face at the question.

((Sorry it's taken me a while. I had company again. ^^))
"Honestly, not really. I've had about enough of David Bowie in overly-tight pants for tonight. What time is it?" Autumn asked more for something to say than something she needed to know. She didn't care what time she got home, her Mom was on a date, and wouldn't really care herself anyways.
No point in asking the time, but she wasn't sure what else to ask/say/whatever.
Frank's watch confirmed in was ten thirty-seven.
Too late to go to the arcade, or out for a walk. She looked around the room for things to do. First she spotted 'Guess Who', which she was about to grab when she saw his guitar.

Gerard laughed, "Well, yeah actually. She's amazingly beautiful, a great sense of humor, and her eyes look like stars when she smiles. I really like her. Don't know what I'm going to do."
He said the last part in a very fake-serious voice, and a sigh.

Frank followed Autumn’s eyes to his guitar and got up to get it. “Do you wanna hear me play? Or better yet, maybe you could play?” He asked as he hooked up the amp and returned to his seat beside her, positioning the guitar on his knee and strumming a chord. He checked the strings, tuning them pretty much by ear before handing his most prized possession to Autumn. “I think you should play.” He smiled at her and waited.

Nic’s smiled faltered ever so slightly from embarrassment before widening at his words. She wasn’t expecting him to respond quite like that, but she liked it. She forced her mouth into a straight line and mocked Gerard’s serious tone. “Well, maybe you should tell her this. I’m sure if you told her what you just said she’d fall head over heels for you. That is, if she hadn’t already.” She let out a mock sigh as she continued, “Me, I’ve met the greatest guy. He’s sweet, ever so talented, and he’s really hot. I’ve only known him for two days, but I really like him. I’m just waiting for him to make the first move.”

"Oh really. I was going to wait for her to make the first move, but I guess if you want him to do all the work, she probably wants me to."
He quit using the fake serious tone and stood up.
"I'll have to do this right."
He pulled Nic off the couch, put one hand on her hip, the other holding her hand and leaned her backwards-all ballroom-dancer-ish, then kissed her.
He pulled her back up slowly, then put on a new voice, this one kind of Elvis-ish, "So we like going out now hunneh? Cuz, you know... You're the girl."
