"Did he really just...?" Ike trailed off, watching the kid who had jumped through the portal wide-eyed. Sihing, he hung his head, runnig his fingers furiously through his hair. "Rookies!" He grumbled. "He better not have brought strange technology into that world. If he had Mishaps is in huge trouble, it violates the universal tech compromise treaty we hold with all worlds..."

Balthezar shambled over to what he now assumed was the Leader. He leaned over and whispered into the Leader's ear "Shall we go after him, master? And perchance if we do, can I go get some more herbs? Shouldn't take more than fifteen minutes, I reckon." He turned and went over to the doorway where he stood for an answer.
If he was given permission by the Leader he was reach in and pull out another leaf like the one he chewed on before, repeating his previous actions. He would then jog down the corridors to where he had set up his camp. He would gather up his supplies and throw them over his back as he scoured the ground outside and pulled up handfuls of seemingly random plants. When the herb would start to wear off he would put another into his mouth and continue his chewing, creating a rather large mass of plant matter.
With the outside cleared of about three-fourths of all useful plants and on his third leaf he would enter the building and set his stuff down in the Portal room. Finally, he would sort through his belongings and stuff a backpack with most of the plants and putting some of them in his pouch located on his belt. The total time would be about fifteen or twenty minutes and he would be sufficiently equipped for any further needs.
If he wasn't given permission he would just stand around as he grimaced in pain and worry.

As enemies swung there blades Brair parried the blows easily using his cane until more enemies showed up then he drew his Shikomizue (a blade hidden in a cane) and parried the blows even quicker so quick in fact that gusts of wind often disarmed opponents. When they wouldnt give up he took a small back puncture needle and dipped it into a tranquilizer potion he made sure that multiple enemies saw him as he did this, to make sure they didn't think he had used black magic, he stabbed it into a man's blood stream and he fell faint almost immediatly afterward the men were shocked and they ran away. During the battle a light rain had immersed the area and Brair lay down soaking he shivered a bit but the water felt good on his face and waited for someone to come pick him up. he resheather his Shikomizue into the bottom of his cane and waited.

Ike deliberated for a moment, before bending his head down in defeat. He glanced at the clock for a moment, "Five minutes." He said as he shambled away from the group over to the corner where a small window and counter-top stood against the wall. He leaned across the counter, rapping his fist against the glass. "Hey hey!, I need weapons for...Ugh, what Portal is that?" A quick look at the sphere and he turned back. "Heltero. And fast, like really fast we could be shut down for this. I think they use swords or something." Shuffles could be heard from the room behind the glass right before some rapiers were shoved into Ike's waiting hands. He nodded in thanks to whoever was behind the glass and jogged back to the group. "Here!" He tossed one of the blades to Balthezar before running back to the portal where Brair had leapt through. Stopping before it he adressed his 'men'. "We got twenty minutes only, that's five to find Brair and fifteen for your herbs. When that time hits we're gone whether we have the herbs and Brair, or not. Understood? I hope I am. Now let's go." Turning on his heel in one fluid movement, Ike flexed his wings out and then jumped into the sphere without another word.

Balthezar nodded obediently. He left his rifle behind and took his pouch of herbs and the sword before he jumped after the Leader. When he landed in the field he grunted and dropped to his left knee. After a quick survey of the land he rose and stood wearily, sword held in front of him. He did his best to protect the Leader's back at all times while he looked for anyone else. After a few seconds he mumbled "I think I know the answer to this, but could I take a few samples of the plants here? Never know what will be handy." and smirked. While he waited for an answer he reached into his pouch of herbs and withdrew a pair of leather gloves and slipped them on.

the lady that Brair had saved slowly approached him and handed him a flower. Brair was shocked for a minute but took the flower and bowed low to her then put the flower in the front pocket of his suit she giggled a little. Then curtseyed to him and walked away. Brair sat there twirling the flower and thinking until a horn blared into the silence and suddenly he was surronded by men in very official looking uniforms Brair had left his shikomizue out of reach and was left defenseless. The men slowly drew closer enclosing him so he had no where to run Brair drew a knife from his Briefcase and the men laughed and they had the right to for it was the knife Briar used to cut his ingrediants Brair was trapped of if only Ike would show up.

ooc:: Sorry guys my summer schedule is more hectic than I thought itd be xP
"Do whatever you wish. By the way you are Rookie 1. Just so you know since I don't have a codename for you." As Ike said this to Balthezar, he crouched low to the groun, spreading his pitch black wings out to thier full twenty foot span. "You just collect plants, I'll be back ASAP....Just don't gather anything weird please." Flapping on a hard down stroke, he sent small feathers astray through the wind and large puffs of dirt shot out like a shockwave had been made. An upstroak and then a second downstroak and he rocketed into the air with blinding speed. Circling in a wide arc he scouted out the surrounding landscape looking for signs of Brair. It took a moment but eventually his hawk eyes landed on the boy and a group of men. "Ugh! Idiot."
Folding his wings in, he plummeted like a rock. Unfurling them just at the last moment to break his fall, he landed right between Brair and the men, sword whipped out, drawn and pointed at them in warning. "Hey Rookie 2. Next time you run off I'm killing you personally. Got that?" Turning back to the men, he raised his chin slightly. "Alright guys, you got two choices walk off and live or stay and die. Its up to you."

Balthezar nodded at the statement and request. Once the Leader had left he started to walk in a slowly widening path carefully. He leaned down every few seconds, picked up plants that reminded him of something that was useful and chewed on a bit of it. A few of the plants he tested the roots as well, just to make sure. If he ran across something poisonous or obviously addictive he reached into his back pocket and took a bite out of a rather large leaf and remembered not to take that plant. He had managed to make a temporary basket and had filled it with a good twenty pounds of herbs by the time the two of them arrived at the original position, with himself roughly 100 yards away to the west. The only indication that he was there would be bits of ground that were bare and his footprints.

"yeah right I have already figured out what kind of person you are and tough you act though you won't kill me I get the intention of it though." said Brair. While the guards were distracted with Ike Brair grabbed his Shikomizue and pointed it at a guard. The guard ran away shortly followed by all the others. Before Ike could turn around Brair had resheathed it in his cane and was leaning on it. "Well which way is out?" said Brair glaring at Ike.

"Says you." Seathing the rapier, Ike glanced around the place for a quick sweep of the area just to make sure no on else was wandeirg around, and then he turned to Brair. Narrowing his eyes, he spoke clearly and in an authoratative voice. "Just so you know. That." He pointed his arm to the Cane. "Is illegal in these lands. Under the law. It breaks interrealm treaties. If anyone of authority saw you with it, you'd be jailed or killed on the spot. I'm not going to report it, but for now, keep tha tin mind." His voice softened near the end and then, turning on his heel, Ike stalked back to Balthezar wthout another word. He eyed the basket for a moment, "You got everything? We still have five minutes of alloted time."

Balthezar looked down at the basket and chuckled. He stated calmly "I could always get more, but I think we've got enough right here. I'll see what all they do when we get back." With his opinion stated he had nothing to do and decided it was high time to sit down and rest his leg for the remaining five minutes. When the time was up and they were back at base he picked up his rifle. As he walked out he stated "I'll be back in about fifteen minutes." without turning his head. He left the building after he informed whoever worked out front that he would be back with his stuff.
Once outside he took in a deep breath of air and trudged to his camp. He packed up everything into a large pack that he could sling over his back. With the camp packed up he made a quick check of what all herbs were around him that he missed. With everything in hand and a few more herbs he packed up and went back to the portal room with his belongings. Here he simply sat and went through his items, rearranging them into appropriate piles.

Shadow set himself into the hole. He pressed his feet against one side and his hands opposite. He slowly walked himself down the hole. He knew that after this, he would need a few minutes to recover his energy cause the hole was deep, about 50 feet.
He did not look up while he went down. He focused all of the necessary energy on going down without mistake and silently. He had to be careful not to dislodge even pebbles or dust from the brick edges or else the guards below might become aware of them.
He was about 20 feet from the bottom when his leg, tired from the position and ended up spasming at the wrong moment. He slipped and started to fall. Instinctually he re-maneuvered himself 2 feet from the end of the hole, still 12 feet from ground. His knee was pressed up against the wall and his arms were stretched out further in front of him.
He waited a moment to determine the guard’s reactions below him. He readied himself for one of the men below to look up into the hole. That was when he would make his move. And just as he had expected, a man looked up into the hole to investigate the noise of Shadow falling and recovering.
The man looked up to see a figure of some sort poised in the hole and a look of surprise, confusion and fear crossed the man’s face. Shadow pushed down and rotated his body for a forward flip. The first man fell unconscious when the top of Shadow’s head connected with his. Shadow landed on his feet in a crouched fighting stance.
The other four men in the room stood in there locations surprised, confused, baffled and afraid for a moment. Then the second man came at Shadow and started to pull out his weapon. Shadow moved in and struck accurately before the weapon was out. The man fell to his knees winded from the blow. The third man started to move, but not quick enough. Shadow moved swiftly and struck the man in the neck, knocking him out.
By this time, the fifth man had his weapon out and came at Shadow. Shadow stepped back, evaded the deadly swipe of the man’s sword. Shadow then struck the man with deadly accuracy and knocked the man out. Shadow was now close to the second man so he lashed out with speed and hit the man that was on his knees to knock him out.
The fourth man was still standing, unmoving from his spot. He stood frozen with fear at the event that just played out before his eyes. A rancid stench lifted from the puddle that had formed under his feet. Shadow ignored the smell and walked calmly over to the man. He knocked the man out with one well placed hit.
I wasn’t given authorization to kill anyone, and I don’t feel it necessary to kill innocent guards from another world or realm unless it is part of the contract and im told to.
He walked over to the hole and called mentally to the other two. The room was clear and all that needed to be done was to tie up the men. He moved them to a corner and waited for the other two to make it done the hole. He didn’t have anything to tie the men up with so he had to wait.

As Brair returned with Ike and Balthezar and the latter had left he turned to Ike. "You think I was stupid and irresponsible don't you." He said with an edge in his voice.

Ike looked to Brair. He raised his black brows a bit. "To be entirely honest, Yes. I do. Going through portals without permission from the Commander is an offense usually punishable by being tossed into the dpeths of the library for a little while. And let me tell you tha is not a pleasant place, the last guy who got lost down there came out mentall unhinged and babbling about demons. So not only did you break a law punishable by death, but you also broke one of the most basic of Mishap rules. Now, because you are a rookie, I will be lettin this slide." Without another word, Ike simply stepped through the portal, disappearing from sight. He reapepared in the portal room, listened to what Baltezhar had to say with a nod of aknowledgement and went over to the counter to dump his rapier off. They didn't need that in the angel realm.
Xinrie smiled, he did a good job. Sliding forward, she crept past Outai, she would be taking the lead after this. Getting to the hole, the Captain reached both hands out to grip the sides, and then her legs stretched for extra support. Things like this, no matter how slick they may be, were easy for Xinrie. After all she and Kairin used to be a pair of high class thieves before thier Mishap Days. Actually, the slickness helped her slide all the wa down in one smooth fall. Reaching the edge, she let go and dropped the rest ofthe way down in a free-fall like action, landing upon the disgusting tile with a light thud. Standing, she'd signal Outai to follow before wandering to the guards to inspect the job Shadow had done. They were knocked out pretty darned good. Rope wouldn't be necessary because they wouldn't be getting up anytime soon.
ooc:: Uh...Ill be on rarely because Im working like 12 hour shifts the next couple of day -_-; So yeah Ill try to respond as I can.
