"Yes, the world lost one of it's few remaining fiddle players..." Gitano said with a smile. He placed the instrument down on the table nearest him and looked back up at the lady of the house.
"I'm in control again. No harm will come to you," he said softly. He kept his distance, letting her be the one to chose to stay or come closer. "I have to apologize though," he added, looking up at the stars, "I never wanted you to see me like that. Especially right after you learned the truth about us."

Suzuka cocked her head a bit. "Ya know, I haven't heard much about him since it happened. I mean, as far as I know, he's still alive, but is he performing any more?"
She turned back toward him. "It's alright. I mean, it's not exactly like you could really control yourself, right? I'm just sorry that you got that...thirsty? I had fun and all, but you shouldn't torture yourself like that on my account." She smiled a bit. "Hey, give me a couple of weeks, and I'm sure I can make myself a nocturnal animal too."
Therin reached town and went to stand on a semi-busy corner. Pretending to be subconsciously people watching, she watched for the right moment and the right victim. She wasn't the pickiest of vampires by far, but she did have her standards.

Gitano leaned on the railing of the patio and cocked his head. "I wouldn't know...I haven't been listening much to the news."
He looked back at Suzuka. "Thirsty is one way of putting it," he said with a small smile. "But it isn't torture. Besides, didn't I offer to take you to see the town? I know my limits, but I didn't want to cause you any worry."
He gave a small chuckle. "Though, you sound like your grandfather just then. He said pretty much the same thing when he found out about what a day in the sun does to me. And in the end it was he that dragged me out to run errands with him."

Suzuka cocked her head a bit. "Well, that's good to know, I guess. And it's true, you did offer. I guess I just don't like seeing my friends suffering, and it certainly looked like you were when you left."
She studied Gitano for a moment, trying to get up the courage to ask something that she'd wanted to for quite a while. She took a deep breath and jumped in. "I sound like Grandfather, huh? Tell me about him?"
It took a little while, but eventually Therin spotted a likely man. Leaning against the wall, she struck a bit of a seductress pose, and reached out to the man with her mind. 'Come here, Handsome. You interested in some of this?'
She knew it was cheap and slutty, but hey, it worked. And it was one of the fastest way to get a male (or lesbian) to go off into a dark, quiet place with her.
Sure enough, her victim looked around, caught sight of her and started walking her way with a small, dopey grin on his face. When he was a few feet away from her, she gave him a smile, pushed away from the wall and walked down the alley.
The man followed along in a trance. 'Come here, Fella. Good boy. Now, stand still and be absolutely quiet.' The man obeyed, and Therin slowly walked to him and sank her teeth into his neck. The blood flowed down her throat in thick, warm rivers.
When she was done, she licked the wound to clean the last of the blood and speed the healing process. Pushing him back a bit, she patted his cheek. 'Now, you'll just go on about your business and not remember anything about the last few minutes. Oh, you might want to drink lots of water, make sure to get plenty of iron and take it easy for the next day or so.'
Without another glance, she left him to recover and headed back home, good for another day or two.

While Thorn was in the living room watching tv like always. She started to rethink the night where she went off hunting and failed to shut up her prey.
"maybe i should learn some new hunting techinques from someone. I mean when i hunt i seuduce them , lead them in a alley , drink , erase their memory and i just leave them there in the alleyway until they wake up. I should'nt be so sloopy." Thorn said sighing slightly.
"hey i could ask Therin or Gitano or any of the older vampires to teach me" Thorn said smiling. She jumped off the couch and ran out to the garden to see Suzuka and Gitano talking.
"Sorry to interupt but um Gitano ..um i was wondering if you could help me with my hunting habits . Maybe teach me some new hunting Techinques." Thorn said in a somewhat shy voice.

Gitano smiled, "It is an inconvenience, yes. But as to suffering? I wouldn't call it that."
He blinked at Suzuka's question about his grandfather. "He was one of a kind." He motioned Suzuka to sit down. "There is a lot to say. Where to start is the question." He looked back at the garden and said, "He wanted to see you. Every day he would talk about you, calling you his pride and joy. This house was always yours, he wanted you to have it." Looking back at the girl next to him with sad eyes he added, "His one regret was that he wasn't able to be in your life. We knew that he loved us as his own children, but you where his favorite."
He was about to add more when Thorn walked up. "You ask because of last night?" He smiled and walked up to the younger girl. He squatted in front of her and smiled, "I would be more than happy to help, but for now the best trick to keeping them from screaming is just to place your hand over their mouth. Your stronger than them, they wouldn't be able to shake it off."

Suzuka walked over to the table where Gitano was sitting, bringing her food with her. Thankfully, she set down her plate and glass before he got too far, because his words shocked her to her core. She nearly collapsed into her chair, barely noticing that Thorn had come out, which was probably for the best. If she had heard the conversation, she might have been a bit uncomfortable.
As it was, her head was spinning. Her grandfather had cared about her, LOVED her? He had regretted not being with her?......Tears started flowing down her face. "Why? Why couldn't you come to me? I needed you so much." She whispered to herself.
Therin came back into the house, went quickly to the bathroom and checked her reflection in the mirror. Not bad. Fixing up the few smudges, she headed back out to the garden.
Stopping at the door, she saw Gitano and Thorn talking and Suzuka sitting in one of the chairs, tears on her face, looking as if she was in shock. 'What's going on out there?' Therin wondered to herself. But it seemed a little crowded out there already, so she just stayed where she was, keeping an eye on things until she was needed.

Gitano stood up and noticed that Therin had walked in. 'She asked about Usagi,' he mouthed to the other vampire and looked back at Suzuka.
He was unsure if he should go up and comfort the crying woman, or let her cry it out and then explain the reason behind the absent grandfather.
He decided to go up to her. Kneeling in front of her, he wiped away a tear. "Please find it in your heart to forgive him. It was not his fault that he could not see you. There was a falling out between him and your parents, in which they refused to allow him near you." Sighing, he moved back a bit and stood up, "He never gave us any more information than that."

Therin's eyes widened just a bit and she nodded in acknowledgment of Gitano's silent explanation. 'I see. Poor child. Well, I suppose it was bound to come up at some point.'
Stepping outside, she walked up beside Suzuka and put a hand on her shoulder. "I'm sorry, Suzuka, if this hurts you. But it's probably best for you to know than to live the rest of your life hating him for the wrong reasons. I just wish there was more we could tell you."
The touch of Gitano's fingers on her face brought Suzuka out of her haze. She looked up at him, and felt both a softening and a hardening in her heart. She felt herself opening up to the love for her grandfather that she had been holding back, but she also felt what felt like possibly a final door slamming hard on her feelings for her parents. She hadn't know her grandfather, but she knew her parents all too well, and from what she had heard since coming here, she had little doubt that the 'falling out' had been started by her parents.
Taking a deep breath, she looked at Gitano and Therin. "No, I'm glad you told me. I don't know what the fight was about either, but I wouldn't be surprised if my parents were to blame for it." She sniffed and wiped the last of the moisture from her face. "Wow, sorry if I seem like a cry baby."
(Holy long post, Batman!! Sorry y'all)

"Hush, child, hush," Gitano said. "There is no need to apologize for tears." He smiled gently as she wiped away the last tear. "There now. Feeling a little better?" He stood up and looked up at the at the stars.
"How about a little preview of tomorrow's show?" He picked up the fiddle. "Or did I forget to mention I would be performing?"

Therin squeezed her shoulder. "It's alright, Dear. We may not exactly be human, but we still know human emotions. My own blood relatives have been dead for centuries, but I still remember the pain of love and loss. It's best to get it out instead of holding it in."
Suzuka gently leaned into Therin's touch, then smiled at Gitano. "Yeah, a bit. Thanks." She smiled when he picked his fiddle back up. "No, you didn't. Where's your show going to be?" She turned a bit to start eating on her food. Usually, an emotional stir-up like this ruined her appetite, but she didn't want to worry her new friends by not eating.

Gitano laughed. "I told you that tomorrow's show is being performed by local artists? There will be an orchestral performance of a few songs, with some soloist performances. There will be a small acting section, were the actors will perform scenes form different plays." He smiled widely, care to hide his fangs, and added, "I was allowed to take part in the orchestral pieces and was granted a solo performance."
He gently ran his fingers over the fiddle, "I could give you a short preview of what will be played. Or I can perform a piece of your choice."

Thorn smiled widely when Gitano said he would be happy to help her. She nods when he asks if its about last night.
"ok i'll do that from now on. Thanks Gitano" Thorn said cheerfully before he stood up and went to comfort suzuka.

Suzuka smiled around a mouthful of food. After swallowing, she spoke. "Yeah, you mentioned that it was going to be local performers, but I don't remember you mentioning that you would be one of them. Should be fun."
When he offered her the choice of music, her mind sort of dumped. "Um... I don't really care. What ever you feel like playing is fine with me." She took another bite, watching Gitano and waiting to see what he would decide.

Gitano laughed. "I guess I forgot to mention that," he said as he picked up his fiddle. "Allow me to get my violin. As much as I like the fiddle, I will not be using it in the show." He bowed and slipped back inside.
Once inside he moved quickly up to his room and switched his fiddle for the violin. In what would have taken about four minutes at human speed, it was less than a minute he was back downstairs. Slowing down so that he wouldn't startle Suzuka by just appearing in front of her he walked outside.
"I guess I can give a short preview of what I have chosen for my solo," he said as he came up to the table. "Though, I will be playing the true version at the show, I figured I can give you the modernized version tonight." He set the violin under his chin and started to play the version of The Devils Trill made famous by Vanessa Mae.
