Shay looked down. "Yeah. We went through a singing phase. My adopted mom hated it, remember?" she asked. "She'd drive us out of her house and tell us to go sing in the forest like the stupid faeries do." She giggled. "Please. In her mind, we were the stupid faeries."

Annabella frowned, "Singing use to be the most important thing in my life." She laughed. "but I got other priorities now."

Shay smiled back, bitterly and happily at the same time. "Yeah. Don't we all?" she looked away. "We've both got to train Coleman...I'm still looking for Mara's true killer...you've got things going on that I'm not even aware of..." she made sure to make eye contact. "Annabella...I'm sorry," she stated simply. "I abandoned you in a time of great need, didn't I? For my own, selfish reasons. And here I come back, claiming Coleman as the Child of the Sun, and telling you we must train him together, when we barely even know each other anymore. I've been hardened and trained on my tour of the world...and you've gone through your own hardships. For that, I apologize." Her words were spoken with truth in her eyes.

Yukilee sighed. "You have no wings nor powers but the human weapon's on your back. How can you think that you're human?" She asked angrily, as she took out 3 icicle knives.

Annabella stared of at the sky. Why haven't I heard anything from inside? She knocked on the door. "Is everything alright?"

Shay frowned. "Did you hear what I said, Annabella?" she asked, slightly annoyed, and peered at the door, frustrated. "I know, though. They haven't said anything in forever. Coleman?" she asked, raising her voice slightly, so he'd most likely hear her over the constant screaming. "Coleman, is everything all right? Tsubaki? Tsubaki, wake up!"

Shay rapped on the door ferociously and started plucking at her fingernails--it was her sign that she was nervous and worried. "God, I hope they're all right!" she whispered.
