Ling returned to the cave, his gaze flicking once to the pair of lions off to the side of the cave. It was as he expected, Kun Yi and Shaitani were growing close. He took in a breath as he passed them, his eyes flashing at Shaitani, warning him. He walked back to the back of the cave where Xia was. "Xia...I'm ready for that talk...please...come with me...?" He nuzzled against her cheek and smiled at her. "Nuri...Whould anything happen while I am away, I want you to handle it...make sure Adelle eats, and if any new threats come into our land, make certain to look into them. " He lead Xia from the cave then, they would walk down by the lake and talk.

Shaitani caught the look in Ling's eyes as he passed, but made no reaction. At this point in time, any gesture or threat would be empty. Ling could easily overpower him. However, once his was older... Stronger... More skilled... No threat would be empty. He knew that these skills would not be required to protect Kun Yi, but to be able to take her with him... they would be more important that anything else.

It was a dark night, the blanket of stars overhead the only light. The moon was gone, the Silver Lioness resting for the night. She would be back to chase the Gold Antelope soon. Kun Yi watched the stars, amethyst eyes unblinking. The dragon lioness was itching to leave the Pride already. Her ambitions extended further then this place.
Wandering around the price as he often did at night, Shaitani fell upon Kun Yi star gazing. their previous meeting had ended strangely, and left him debating what to do as he now came upon her once more. He stood in place quietly, watching her with cool, indifferent eyes. His tail brushed the ground gently as his mind wandered, moving the tall grass slightly, much like a gentle breeze.
The fur on her back prickled, standing up straight. "Who's there?" She didn't look back over her shoulder, already having a good guess at who it was. The almost-teen kept watching the stars, entranced by their beauty.
His voice stale and cool, shaitani replied quietly, "It's me." He remained rooted in his spot, with few plans of moving toward the lioness. She confused him, which made him uneasy. Being used to always knowing what his mind meant, the confusion led him to flinch at many small things and made him jumpy, which didn't like at all.
"I had figured." Now she looked back, feline eyes picking the male out of the dark. Being older now, she was able to appreciate his maleness. Not quite teen, not quite child. An awkward stage, but Yi was handling it with grace. "Aren't you going to join me?"
Shaitani looked to the stars for a moment, "I hardly understand you, but you seem to be able ot read my mind," he said before returning his gaze to her dark figure in the night. He paused a moment before moving forward, sitting himself close to her, shifting a moment to get comfortable.
"We are one of a kind, Shaitani." The female, comfortable with her feelings and touch, leaned into the larger male.
He rested his head upon hers, "I suppose that's true," he said awkwardly, softening himself to her and her alone.
A rumbling purr emanated from the tiny females's throat. There was one thing that would keep her from outright hating this Pride. If Ling hadn't insisted that she and her sister stay, she never would have met her King. "The stars are beautiful tonight." Especially so with him here.
His eyes glanced downward for a moment as he heard her purr - something he found most unexpected from the strong lioness, "Were you ever told a story about the stars and their pasts or meanings?"
"...No. Our mother died a short while after we were born." She had never recieved any stories of any kind. Xiao had tried to come up with some but they had been lacking. They had been babies after all.
He sighed sadly, "...I see." The stories he often had heard cubs mention while he traveled eluded him once more. "But yes, they are astounding tonight."
Silence reigned over the pair for a while, before Kun Yi broke it. "Have you decided where we are going?" She would follow her Dark King to the ends of the Earth should he ask.
His voice returned to the logical, lifeless tone once more, "I was considering a few places, though the mountains appeal most to me. I haven't been able to explore enough to survey the land. However, if we wanted to move to the desert, I'm sure the lakeside continues around to the edge of the desert as well. Unless you'd rather be in the grass or forest..." Honestly, he hardly had a clue where to set up his pride. Because he had traveled so much, he felt at home everywhere and no where at the same time.
"I like the thought of the mountians." From the mountians she would be able to see the stars even better. Not to mention if any other Pride suddently decided to attack they had the terrain as an added bonus for defense. She purred louder, rubbing her head against his chest.
He was silent a long time, considering many things to say. Softly, he asked, "Where did you and your sister live before?"
"I don't know." Truly she didn't. They had wandered for so long that their 'home' was just a blurr of grey and white. Did they even have one? "We came from the direction of the grasslands...so maybe there."
He smiled lightly, "Traveling with your sister must have been... exciting, in some ways." To him it seemed so, anyway. He had wandered alone, and even before the massacre of his family, he had lived a lonely life. He envied Kun Yi for having his sister, no matter what had happened. And someone to care for and protect, no matter what the costs.

Akira looked up startled a bit by the lioness coming for nola, he smiled at their tender reunion then turned around to see a small rodent jumping along the rocks "oh!" he said and leaped after it, as he touched the next rock his paw slid on the smooth surface and he fell face first to the ground "ugh...that was stupid of me" he said with a muffled voice

Leanna looked over at the pride. She had returned from her venture. The magenta lioness was now clearheaded and felt extremely well off. Her pelt gleamed in the faint light as she trotted toward into the den just as Ling stepped off with Xia. The female gave a quiet chuff. "You all have grown." She smiled at the others. "I feel old now." Leanna chuckled and slowly crept to her spot in the cave near to the doorway. With a small huff, she settled herself down slightly tired, but still alert.

Adelle looked over at Akira and smiled at him while Nola ran over to him and helped him sit up again. "Careful little one. We don't want your nose to get brused." Adelle said as she lowered her head to their level.
Nola looked at her mom wonderingly. "Did you get away from dad? Is he coming here?"
"No child. He will bother us no more."

Meribelle had been traveling the grasslands for a long time, but now she had come to the border. ALl that was left was desert to her right, and in front of her, and the large oasis to her left. She sat down, and contemplated which way was better to take; the large trees and strange plants of the oasis scared her,...but the heat and dry air coming from the desert was chokeing her poor little wind-pipes. "Great! now what do I do?" She whined out loud. SHE had finally gotten rid of the Hyenas that had been on her heels, and if she stopped here they would find her again by night fall. She sniffled, and layed down, her pale body resing in the grass, and flattening her ears to her head. She began to let out little mewing noises, hoping that there were friendly lions around that would help her,...

The female had gone out early that morning. She was by the watering hole when her left ear twitched. An unfamiliar noise had found its way to the lioness. Raising her head, she followed the noise until she could make it out: the mewing of a young lion. Leanna began to trot toward it quickly, her maternal instincts picking up. She began her motherly call toward the young cub hoping it would reply.

Meribelle sat up, her ears standing high on her head. She heard the lioness' call, and replied with her own loud mew, as she looked around for any sight of the lioness.

Leanna came to about where the outskirts of the territory was. There, a white lion was making that same mewing noise. Leanna gave a gentle chuff as she stepped slowly toward the cub. "Well, hello there, girl-child." She smiled gently. "What are you doing out here all by yourself." Leanna settled herself down on her haunches, her injured one not feeling the least bit sore anymore. Now, her main concern was this child.

Her tail swished and she smiled as the other lioness came into view and spoke, "I was seperated from my brothers and sisters when the human-type people attacked and set fire to my pride. I've been wondering these grassy lands ever since,.." She said, replying to Leanna's question. The stood up and walked over towards the liones, tail waving high, and swishing happily, "My name's Meribelle" She introduced herself.

"Poor child..." She murmured, then slowly brightened not wanting to dwell on such a horrible thought. "Well nice to meet you, Meribelle. Your name certainly does suit you. My name is Leanna." The lioness got up in one swift motion and shook her pelt. "Come now, out of this heat. I don't think King Ling will object to you being here." She turned and slowly walked back down the path toward the lake. Leanna looked behind her shoulder to see if Meribelle would follow.

"Thankyou!" She replied with a nod and a whide smile as she trotted hehind the lioness, watching as they neared the large oasis. It didn't look near as scary now. "Is king Ling nice?" She asked, invisioning her own father who had been whiter than snow, with a dazzeling light blue mane.

"Very. He is a respectable ruler around these parts and is quite kind and cunning. All in all, he is a very fair ruler." She smiled coming up to the lake. The water looked peaceful as she slowly came to the edge. "Well, Meribelle, here's the lake. Incase you're thirsty, just come here to drink, but not by yourself." Leanna lowered her head and slowly took some sips of the cool liquid. After she had her fill, she waited on the cub to finish.

Meribelle was soon done with her drink of the cool water aswell. "Why shouldn't I come here alone? Is there more of them laughing beasts around?" She said, cocking her head to the side
