Severus was spared the trouble of answering Emily by the fortunate arrival of another girl whom he didn't know....Although perhaps he had seen her in Potions class? Maybe. He had been rather focused on his potion at the time.... Continuing to riffle through the books on the shelf, he took one down and began to skim through it- Or so it appeared. In actuality, he was eavesdropping.
[Holy boogers and bucket handles, Batman! I'm gone for like, two days and the RP jumps six bloody pages!? Gee. I'll try not to act lost... xd ]

Kagura sighed, and nodded. "I'll try." She grimaced. "Actually, it shouldn't be t-too hard now. I'm sure I made an i-impression, snapping at them like I did." she dropped her gaze to the book again, looking rather guilty.

"Alright." Emily smiled and got to her feet. "Alright Severous I'm back, just like I promised." She then turned to Kagura. "Kagura, this is Severous, and Severous, this is Kagura. If the two of you already know each other I'm sorry for introducing you again." She smiled brightly.

Normally, Severus wouldn't of shaken Kagura's hand. He really just wasn't the hand-shaking type of guy. But after over-hearing Emily's and Kagura's conversation, something had occurred to him.... Severus gave a slight smile, and shook Kagura's hand. "Likewise." He said, in a warmer monotone than usual, if that was possible.

Kagura gave a friendly, ever so slightly relieved smile. "I b-believe we have Potions together." She thought for a moment. "Transfiguration t-too."

Severus cocked his head as if pondering, then nodded. "Yes, I believe we do." He affirmed, taking down another book that looked promising. It had occurred to him that it would be rather easy to take advantage of this shy yet friendly Gryffindor- It surely wouldn't be all that nice to use her in his plan to get the Marauders, but Severus had enough on his plate without trying to be nice. Right?

Kagura nodded. She wondered, what should she do now? She was still pretty new to the whole socializing thing. She wanted to ask something, to get to know him, but she wasn't sure what exactly to say. "So...what's you favorite subject?" she finally decided to ask, somewhat tentative.

'Nice' or not, Severus decided that befriending (Or at least being friendly to) Kagura was his best option. Unfortunately, making friendly conversation was not exactly the easiest for Severus, who was somewhat of a social outcast, even among his own house. "Um... Potions, I suppose." He answered, a bit hesitantly. He sensed that somehow, she could empathize with the whole anti-social thing. It was a strange feeling- Someone actually making an effort to talk to him, to understand him. It felt kinda.... nice.
