"The rookie will do fine Stalker. Which by the way you need to give him a codename before mebarking. Do not forget that."
The Commander's eyes drifted from Stalker's face down to the paers she had placed on the desk. She took a sheaf of it and read it over once more before glancing back at the two of them. Clearing her throat, she continued.
"Now, I sent a previous group out for this one...but it did not end ell. They never completed it. So I am offering it again and this time to Squad Null. That would be your new Squad, Rookie....Malcolm Bliss Mental Institution: Founded in 1857 Earth years, it was designed for psychically disturbed children. Whichi is all fine and dandy, except they had recently built a new facility and were in the process of moving the children to that location when Subject numbers 5768 and 5769 accidentally got left behind. Normally, they could just go back and retrieve them real quick since the new facility is a mere twenty minutes away, except for one problem. 5768 and 5769 have broken free and completely shut the place down via the buildings Level 5 Lockdown program. It's become an inpenetrable fortress. Now here's the real kicker. 5768 and 5769 are Twin Psychic girls, aged 12 specializing in Telekenesis, Transvection, Telepathy, and Psychokenesis. As such, they have been marked as the most dangerous patients in the hospital. How they got out of thier high sceurity cells is unknown, but they are now running freely throughout the facility and it is your jobs to break into the facility detain them and bring them back.

"Oh?" Stalker's grin was slowly returning as she sat back into her chair. She crossed her elgs, lening furter against the padding and propping her cheek up on her fist. The whole pose looked like those most took to accuse someone.
"Interesting." She murmured now, squinting her eyes as she thouht this over. "Just the two of us? Shouldn't there be more? And what happens if it comes down to a life or death situation? Are we allowed to kill or is it one of those its better if you die ones?"
Xinrie glanced over to her current partner on this with a frown. Really the mission sounded like a TON of fun to her...but she really was worried about how well he would do. If Ryanna said the previous group failed to complete the mission that usually meant that they were either all forced to flee or the Captain perished on the field. Both of which were never anything good.

Damian was appreciative of the Commanders vote of confidence. It slowly meant little as he was provided the details of his first mission. He may have killed many people in his past lives, but never has he had to worry about staining his blades with the blood of children. Somehow he knew that this mission would turn out to be very bothersome...
As the commander finished speaking, Damian turned his gaze to his captain, curious as to what she might have to say. The frown she graced him with was obviously a sign of concern as to whether or not he'd be able to follow through when it mattered most. He was never known for holding back, now and then wouldn't be the time to start either.
"I'm not sure if I'll be very familiar with the technology. Even the devices around here baffle me as to their purpose and function. I will say this though, we will not fail Commander. If they require Squad Null to retrieve two psychically dangerous kids, they will soon acquire them again. Even if I have to drag them and put up with their kicking and screaming all the way to the new facility..." that last portion made him grimace. Children were very stubborn these days, and their temper tantrums were often very bothersome...

A very light smile touched the Commander's lips. The woman rarely ever smiled anything more than that, and getting her to even smile a tiny bit was a rather difficult task.
"Well now, it seems the Rookie is ready to go. Do not worry Stalker...I have some confidence in him. As for the kills. The twins are daughters of a high political figurehead, so it is preffered that you do not kill them. But,"
Her voice dropped an octave into a serious tone as she focused her gaze on the two of them.
"When it comes down to life and death, the contractor's have given the go ahead to kill them if need be. You know what that means Stalker...Death would be the least of your worries if you get trapped by them. I want you two back alive and well....We already lost one team on this mission. I don't want any more deaths."

Xinrie frowned, obviously not liking what she heard. Reaching forward, she snatched the bundle of papers containing the mission specs off of the Commander's desk. "Got it, Got it." She mumbled. "This is earth right? So guns are a go ahead, and even bladed weapons for that matter...." She trailed off as she cracked the folder open to peruse its contents for a moment. "Fer cryin out loud, you might as well just Drop an A-Bomb on that thing and call it a day. Ugh, more work than I need. This better be amusing."
Glancing to her new Rookie friend, Xinrie cocked her head to the door. "Come on, best we get going now before these delightful little girls find a way to make this asylum any more inpenetrable."

"So they're the children of a politician...it leaves one to think they were abandoned for their abilities and it has left them embittered." from the grimace he made it was obvious he had alot more to say about the issue, yet some things are better off left unsaid. Even still, Death was something he overcame centuries ago.
Once the seriousness was set aside, Damian wore an awkward expression of curiousity. Then came what would most likely make his Captain and perhaps even his Commander burst out laughing. "What is an 'A-Bomb'...?" somehow he had a feeling that everyone knew what it was, save for him.
"Perhaps you can tell me about it on the way there Stalker. I've only a few ideas to breach their defenses...after that we'll be left to wing it."

Xinrie stopped dead in her tracks when he spoke. He jaw dropped and she whirled around to face him with an expression of disbelief. "You don't know what an A-bomb is?!" She spluttered out.
Here at Mishaps, even people from stone age lands had atleast heard of the A-bomb. "Where have you been? In a hole?" She shook her head, blinking once, twice before trying to figure out how to describe it.
"Uh An A-bomb is like.." She spread her arms out wide, imitating them flying apart like an explosion. "Like...like boom Y'know? Sorta, basically a bomb just on a scale that could destory entire cities and make really pretty- I mean horrible mushroom clouds." Pausing, she semed to deliberate for a moment on whether she was leading the conversation on the correct path. "So yea...it also leaves behind radiation which is like, one big cancer death blob that kills more people afterwards."
"Oy, maybe I should codename you Brick if you don't even know this much....or Cy-Punk. It'd be prettty ironic. " She smiled before letting her gaze fall to the floor, now thinking of dragging another member along just to help with infilitrating the building. This could be difficult with one not being so technologically 'sound'.

Not knowing how to respond to a remark like where he has been and whether he had lived under a rock Damian gave the captain and honest reply. " I have been busy for the past century. So unfortunately I've only recently gotten the chance to catch up on humanity's new toys. Though from the sound of this 'A-bomb' it seems like another of humanity's dirty little secrets that everyone knows about..." he paused, shrugging his shoulders in disbelief. "And after this big boom it can still cause more damage? I doubt you could survive handling a bunch of irradiated corpses...or any other necromancer for that matter...."
The awkward glance he gave Stalker after hearing her ideas for his codename, would most assuredly make her laugh once again. "I don't look like the Brick kind of guy do I? That name seems more appropriate for some musclebound juggernaut. The other one seems as strange as the first...I have a feeling you have plenty of fun working up nicknames for your teammates, don't you?"

ooc:: All misions were recalled cause of the inactivity Parting, so you should come with us on this new one O: Since the other is now void ~~~~
Xinrie stopped, blinking once, before bursting out in a laugh. This guy was what Xinrie would dub a 'real riot.' "You have no idea. The poor kid who gets stuck with the cat mission everyday. We totally named him Scratches cause he's always coming back with whisker marks from the cat's claws. And then Arc, the poor guy who's stuck with all the filing, is actually a fallen angel and dispises the Arc Angels for what they did to him. Heheh."
"Well, we need to come up with some codename for you...I just dunno what. You're a hard one to pinpoint." Pausing for a stretch, Xinrie soon continued walking down the hall, adjusting her gun's thigh holster as she went. Was she going to change and clean out of her bloodstained, muddy clothes? Nope, Xinrie sadly felt at home in them. Being in anything clean felt odd to her. "I wouldn't mind my corpses getting radiated actually, then they'd glow in the dark. It'd make a nice nightlight.

"It seems your group of mercenaries has an interesting name on behalf of their personality, or the missions they receive. Originally the name 'Chimera' due to the emblems both my mother and fathers family possessed. My mothers family was a farming family, they were well known for the quality of the goats they raised. Lion, Snake, and Goat...those combined and you have yourself a Chimera." he finished off, rubbing his left arm where it was now empty from the absence of his hidden blade vambrace.
"Perhaps we can work more on this codename on the way to our objective. But first, I need to retrieve my weapons. After seeing what I keep with me it will inspire you to come up with an acceptable codename..." Damian said, smiling all the more.

ooc:: Sorreh, Holiday kept me busy xP And then I was going to post last night but it started snowing and I totally had to go have my own personal giggle fit frolic through flurries xD So yeah
Xinrie grinned. "Right, weapons. That always helps." She continued down the path in silence right to the point where they reached the massive twenty foot tall towering steel doors that would lead into the portal room. She paused now, turning abck to face the Rookie with her usual grin. "Well...We're going to Earth and that place allows us to bring any weapon of our choosing based upon the universal contracts we have. So any weapons you want to grab feel free."
Flopping down on to the floor, she pointed to the gun on thigh and knife on her hip. "I've got all I need right here. 'Specially since the institution has a grave yard. You go ahead and grab what you need. I'll be waiting here."

((No biggy, the computer I was using got hit by a trojan virus and was completely fried, but thankfully I have my computer moved in now.))
"If thats the case, I'll go and retrieve my effects. I will make sure not to keep you waiting." with that being said Damian turned away from his captain and returned to the security checkpoint at the entrance of the building. The security guard didn't waste his time as he asked for his weapons back, returning them to him on a large tray. It took only a minute to re-equip his armor, after all the years he's worn it taking it off and putting it back on is second nature. His large crystalline b*****d sword was slung to his back, since the rest could easily be returned to their proper places on his return back to the portal room. Next was his long sword, slipping comfortably back into its sheath beside his left hip.
It wasn't long before Stalker was in view again, as he soon flicked his three throwing knives back into his right thigh holster. The last of his armaments was the armored bracer with the hidden blade attachment. He flexed his hand, testing the blades responses to his own movements as he greeted his captain with a nod.
"Ready when you are Stalker."

Xinrie eyed his weapons for a curious moment. It definitely was an odd array. Chimera was slowly becoming a rather accurate name for him. But, she'd think on it for a while. After all, there wouldn't be much talking in this mission. So calling him Rookie for a while longer would work out until she decided on a permnament name for her. "Well, Lets get going then."
Turning back to the giant metal doors, she gave the one on the right side a good shove to open it before slipping in to the portal room. The thousands of spheres that dotted the place and lined the walls and floor immediatly came in to view. Each one fickered back and forth between various scenes. Crowded city streets, barren deserts, open-air bazarrs, lush jungles, wide open plains, freezing mountains. The circles seemed to change in an endless pattern every few seconds.
The Captain seemed to pause for a moment as she held her hand up, pointingbetwee a few of them while muttering some kid's rhyme to herself. Was she deciding on which portal to take via 'Eeeny Meeny Mineey Mo?' You bet. Yes, Stalker was fairly insane, but that should be obvious by now. Finally stopping on one, she sauntered over to it casually and the flickering images ceased to show a large facility that looked like it came straight out of some awful Hollywood Horror Film. "We'll take this one! You can go through first. All you have to do is place your hand on it. Easy, right? Just uh...try to avoid getting knocked off course. We had one loser who wound up falling to his destination from twenty feet up in the air. Haha! Got stuck with the code name Icarus after that Screw up."

Damian couldn't help but grin when Stalker eyed him curiously for a moment or two. It was obvious she hadn't met or seen someone with such an assortment of weapons. Once she was happily done staring at him she had led him into a room of some form or another. The thousands of orbs that existed in a single room was briefly noted in the back of his mind as one of the more interesting visits in his lifetime.
The code-nameless merc stood behind his captain as he assumed she was readying some sort of spell with her arm stretched out as if reaching for something. Then he heard her mutter "Eeeny Meeeny Mineey Mo?" though famliar it sound more like she wasn't sure. Damian had a basic idea in mind as to what these orbs were, and the thought of falling onto a spiked pillar cus of a captains slip-up did not sound the least bit appealing.
Once the decision was made, Stalker decided that he should go first. Place your hand on it, and try not to go off course? Great.... he thought, stepping forward and reaching out with his right hand, "Like thi-
He couldn't finish his sentence as his hand plopped onto the orb before he could finish his sentence.
