Just kidding... Well, I like having 2 threads. It feels pointless right now because the UFG has been crawling at snail pace. But when we had slightly more activity a few months ago, just having the option of chatting in here or venting elsewhere was nice.

i figured the difference was that the other thread was just each person's own thing, one after the other, and this thread requires a bit of interaction, some playing off of what the last person has said. whereas that was not required in the other one.

Don't worry, I'm sure this thread will become useful when it's needed. We trashed the "What Are You Thinking?" thread for a reason, and I'm glad for that... We're interacting with each other way more than we used to.
We've just been hiding in the Venting thread because all the bears of the UFG are hibernating for the winter, and it's too quiet to spread out into different threads for now.
All of our old game threads died. I really liked those. D:

Oh gawd... the seasonal excuse. I think I've gone through enough of those to know it has nothing to do with the time of the year. In winter, people blame school. In summer, people blame REAL social interaction. The burst of activity had nothing to do with the seasons and everything to do with Setzer giving the guild to Leyna. People pop in to see what the hell is going on, realize actually not much is going on, and leave. We need to have... stuff... that goes on... or off... *sigh*

I made a snowman today! mrgreen I love snow. SNOW. Snow. I think we're finally riding into winter, despite my earlier sentiments (in the vent thread) that I felt like spring was coming on! I want to go skiing, which I haven't done in at least 13 years.
On another note. I just watched three Ghibli movies in a crunch, and it's 4am now. I want to go out and run around in circles but my back hurts from bending over to make the snowman. CRISIS.

Snow... snow wants to ruin my life. I was supposed to start therapy today. And then I was going to force myself to go shopping afterwards, since I totally skimped out on Christmas. So what happens? Oh... eight inches. Snowed in. Level 1 warning. Only emergency vehicles are allowed on the road. I'm stuck in my house with my mom running around, banging things, spazzing out every time the power goes off because homgwellfreezetodeathandweneedtogotoashelter. gonk
I could not watch that many movies in a row. I just do not have that sort of attention span for minimally interactive entertainment. But I FINALLY got to watch Repo!: The Genetic Opera today. ******** Lions Gate for giving Bousman such a hard time getting it approved and ******** them even harder for not giving it the full release it deserved. I would have liked to see it on the big screen, but it didn't even get a showing in my STATE.

I don't think Repo!'s even going to show in my country. And neither is "let the right one in", which I desperately want to see.
And phew, we are thankfully more or less used to snow around here, the last 10 winters have been ridiculously mild though. We used to jump off'f roofs and make endless amounts of houses and tunnels through snowdrifts that went up over 2m tall back when I was a kid. Oh, and school was never cancelled. Even if by some freak accident we'd have half a metre of snow overnight. You'd just have to crawl out through a 2nd story window or dig out through the front door. mrgreen
I read about them taking off the electricity at your's though, sounds scary.. D:

CRISIS. What Ghibli movies? <3 I'm such a huge Hayao Miyazaki fan, and an even bigger fan of Joe Hisaishi the composer. Also, I just realized that this username and the last one both had to do with stars... Sirius is the name of a star, Silverstar has the word star in it, and a Luma is a baby star.
