"Choco, counter it back with bite" Jason called out seeing what the Sandshrew was trying to do.
Choco felt the force of the Sandshrew's claw in his mouth and once he heard the command to counter with bite he chomped down harder on the claw so that the Sandshrew wouldn't be able to move it anymore.

(14 - 8 + 8 - 9 = 5x2 =10dmg)
Maybe that had been a big mistake as the pain of her claw being destroyed in the pokemon's maw overwhelm her. A counter attack took away all of her defensives and her gamble brought her to her knees as blood would dribble down the pokemon's maw as she promptly passed out.

"Yeah! Nice one Choco!"Jason yelled out to Choco. He was glad that they had finally won the battle.
Choco let go of the Sandshrew's claw and ran back over to Jason. He sat down by his leg panting and began licking some of the wounds that he had received from the Sandshrew.
Jason called out into the darkness "Hah, we won so now what are you going to want us to do"

Arthur HP: 5
The Pansear lurched forward as his fist failed to hit anything. Hand touching the ground, the flame monkey quickly recovered by cartwheeling for several steps then dashing off to the side away from the Onix. This was still his fight. Odds remained in his favor, after all ">My heart is that which burns with JUSTICE!<" It barely had anything to do with what the Pansear had said before, but he either didn't notice or care.
Once more assuming a Boxing stance the fire-type waited to defend against the next attack.

Nick's eyes widened. He saw the ending. It was all or nothing! "Arthur," he called out, pointing to the Pansear, "This is it! Hit him full on with all you've got!"
Arthur roared as he powered up for a final shot, knowing it was now or never. He felt the sting of the Pnasear's earlier shot coursing through his body, but he just had to ignore it just a little bit longer and this would be the end! Was the Pansear really as open as the trainer behind him thought? He could only hope so. There probably wouldn't be a second chance.

The voice declares automatically ...everything that Jason had said had been ignored as it would declare next.
"You have officially joined a team, so go back to the auditorium and head to the registration table."
The voice would simply tell him.

Choco turned around with Jason and they both exited out of the battle room to go and register.

(Remember, you need to actually say which attack you are using in a battle! Anywhere in the post is fine, so long as it is mentioned.
(14 - 3) + (6 - 6) = 11 DMG
Pansear HP: -2
[BURN! -2 HP]
Arthur HP: 3
With that blow, the battle came to an end. In an instant the Pansear fell back, slamming into the floor. His breathing grew ragged at first, but immediately slowed as his form fell limp. He was still very much alive, but he wouldn't be rising any time soon.
Slowly something from within the shadows would pull the little monkey away, and Nick would be left alone with his Onix.
"Well well, seems second times the charm not third. You are now officially a member of the Academy" The mysterious, usually cackling voice spoke up for the first time since the battle had started "Proceed to registration, and then the Pokelot."

[Oops. My mistake. I thought I said tackle, but I must have forgotten.]
"Pfft! Couldn't even give me a burn heal?" Nick asked, looking annoyed. "Fine, then. First stop the Pokemon Center, then I'll hit up the other places." He looked at the Onix. "Good job, Arthur. Now get come back into your pokeball before you get knocked out prematurely."
Arthur looked a bit weary and gladly accepted the safety of the pokeball over fighting for the time being. Still, at the same time, he was stronger. That was something he felt pride in. He looked at his trainer, and with a red flash he was back inside.
"Thanks for the trouble, but I think I'm done for now." Nick waved as he left.
[Exit to - Pokemon Center]
[I assume hitting up the Pokemon Center first is okay, right?]

Arlie winced. That Sneasel was out for blood and this looked like it could be one nasty attack. "Kallie, dodge!" She yelled. "Please..." She added in afterthought.
The Purrloin hissed in surprise at the oncoming attack and attempted to jump backward and keep the blow from connecting.

A voice would declare to her as she walks in .....a voice that came from nowhere, but seemed to be every where at once.
"Welcome to the Battle room, please choose your next step. Will you go through the tutorials, or do you want to go straight to battles."
That was the most she could expected to get from the computerized voice.The girl looked around the room. She sighed when she saw no one around her then blushed lightly. The voice was a bit computerized so that would explain why no one was there. "Um... Just battle please." The girl said a bit shyly with a hint of a smile on her face. ((My apologies for not posting. I just moved and recently set up my computer again.))

Those claws would cut through this time as the pokemon danced backwards after the hit. His claws dragging lightly into the pokemon's shoulder as he smiles lightly and twists it a bit to make the wound deeper before pulling it out. Licking the area with his small pink tongue as he flicks the rest to the mat. That was much better ...so much better. He couldn't believe had had every forgotten what he felt like to feel blood on his claws.
Yes, this was what a battle was all about as he shifts to a differences stance and waits for the pokemon to attack again.

((it's okay, I haven't been posting here as regularly as I should either))
The voice would turn to declare.
"As you wish, but before the battle starts ...have your pokemon drink the potion."
It would declares as a shimmer to her right would reveal the potion while a shimmer to her left would reveal something else. Her opponent as the pokemon as a small bird would appear this time. This was going to be a battle of the flying types.

The girl nodded and picked the Pokeball on her left wrist and released the Pokemon. "Zuru, drink the potion..." The girl spoke softly the the Pokemon that had appeared. The Pokemon looked to be a bright yellow with a single red scale sticking up from it's head. It's oval eyes turned to the potion and it walked toward it with an unchanging expression. It picked up the potion and gulped it back, then walked to stand between it's opponent and it's trainer.
