Rellick laughed at Synda and nodded, then glanced at Brooke as she entered. Her instant dislike for the little cub made him pin his ears and give her a warning growl. "Brooke."
Jadera nuzzled Synda and then smiled as her niece pranced forward.
Naha was obviously thrilled to have a friend, and nosed Synda when she was within reach.
"YES! We be best friends.. Like Sisters!" She giggled. "That will be fun!"
Turning his attention to the fight between the cubs and Areli, Rellick stalked past Brooke with a final warning glare and whispered to Jadera before walking over to the scene of conflict. "Areli, Jax.. Is there a problem?"
Gods how he wished Jay was back.
Jadera pulled Naharia away for a moment and murmured something to her. Naha nodded solemnly, and then turned to find her new friend had slunk off, and pounced after her determindly. She didn't feel liked by many of the Pride, and she wasn't about to lose her first friend! "Synda! Wait for me! Let's play a game!"
Rellick nodded at Areli. "That is fine.." He murmured as she offered to tend the feuding cubs. "Thank you..."
Hearing a roar he turned, an expression of joy lighting his yes, but he caught the sound of Brooke's words and spun at her with a glare.
"Is there a problem?" He asked at a low growl. What was going on with Brooke? She used to be so kind....

Areli nodded lightly, smiling at Rellick. He seemed to practicly be going through Hell. Well, she was too, with Cade and Jax to watch now. She thought about her rank in the pride for a moment, then smiled. "Hey Jax, I have an idea... How about, if King Rellick allows it, how about you come with me when I go hunting?" she offered. She thought, that maybe that would be a fun way to get Jax from bugging his brother. She nuzzled the two softly.

Brooke saw him pin his ears, staring back impassively. "What? Didn't do anything." She muttered. There really had been no change in Rellick, perhaps other than the fact that he had definitely matured since she had first met him.
She watched as Rellick went over to Areli, blinking when he turned to glare at her. Perhaps it would have been wise not to have made her little comment about Jay. "Nahh... Just announcing his arrival... my king." She shook her head, and left the den, climbing to the spot Rellick had shown her when they had just arrived to Scarlet Shadows, the ledge, and sat down to watch the day.
"Go hunting wiv you?" Jax perked up immediately at the thought. "Can I?" He turned to Rellick, eyes shining. "Can I?" He repeated. Then his mood dampened slightly. "Is... anyone else coming?" He asked, obviously meaning his half-brother, but he wisely decided against being so straightforward with Rellick around.

She slightly stiffened as the other came over. Trying to look busy with her tails she nodded. "Yes...from..Outlands..." Synda looked up just in time to get pounced by her new friend. Giving off a slight 'Ooof' the cub got up on her haunches and slightly shook her fur. Looking over at Naharia, she nodded. "Yes! Play...fun game...with sister." She nodded then looked at the other cub expectantly as if she had an idea of what game to play. Synda didn't know much at all and it kinda made her feel a little bad. Growing up some of her life by herself only taught survival mostly, nothing else.

Shey looked about her, at all the conflict that had dampened the mood within the cave. She had known Brooke for some time, and she liked to think that they were like sisters and that she knew her well. But the blue lioness's sudden walking out on them surprised her. She didn't think she would ever have done that.
"Why don't you guys go outside and play tag?" She suggested to the two cubs. "I'll go with you, if you want."

"No, just the Hunt Sisters, some of the other lionesses." she said to him. She nosed the two, wrapping a paw around each, nosing them each. She may not have cubs of her own-- But these two, especially Jax, were close enough to her that they could be. "But, we aren't going yet. When we catch the smell of a heard of gazelle, we will strike." she said.

Jax perked up with a grin. "Hunting..." He said, with a devious look on his face. How he managed to make even a simple word like 'hunting' sound so sinister was a mystery to Cade, who shivered at his half brother's tone.
Jax sudden saw as Brooke turned and left the den. He had been so engrossed in his thoughts about hunting he hadn't bothered to listen to her and Rellick's exchange. He tilted his head quizically. "What's with her?'

"I'm not sure...." Areli said, watching Brooke stalk out of the den. "I think it has something to do with Jayvyn, but, I'm not sure what. I think he bothers her in some way, without knowing it. He doesn't bother me..." she murmured, randomly licking Cade's head, and nuzzling Jax's.

"She's got trust issues." Jax piped up suddenly. "She doesn't like Jay. And she doesn't trust that new cub over there either." He said, motioning to Synda.

Areli laughed slightly. "Yeah, I noticed that. Maybe she does have trust issues, who knows?" she said, shifting her weight so one side of her didn't get sore.

"She does." Jax said with a triumphant smile. "Didn't you hear what she said when she saw the new cub? 'Outlander.' She doesn't like Outlanders. She thinks none of them can be trusted at all." He said with a shrug. "She's kinda like me. But I don't have trust issues. Brooke, I mean."

"Heh, weird. I don't mind outlanders-- Probably because one of my friends is an Outlander. Jaharaa.... Hmm, wonder where she went..." she murmured, blinking slightly. She shrugged, suddenly not caring.

"She got spots under her eyes?" Jax asked suddenly. He caught a look of disbelief on Cade's face, and he smirked, rolling his eyes. "Little prude lion, I got my sources." He said arrogantly.

"I knew it!" Jax near crowed. "I heard from the birds that she's mean..."
"You... You talk to birds?" Cade suddenly spoke up curiously. He was looking a lot differently at his half brother now, a look mixed with fear and admiration of what he'd been through. "The birds chatter. They scare me" He cowered at the look of pure venom Jax shot him. It was almost as if the brown cub had literally told him, don't talk unless spoken to.
