Kagura's smile caught him off guard, and he suddenly didn't know what to say. To his utter astonishment, he smiled back. Did I just smile? At a GIRL? It must be the end of the world. Inwardly, he smirked. It's sure going to seem that way, for the Marauders at least. Severus held up the books he had in his arms, as if to give proof of his love for reading. Did he like to read? Ha, was that funny or what! Pretty much all Severus did was read. "Yes, I read all the time." He said.

Emily was smiling broadly at Severous and Kagura. She was happy that the two had hit it off so great, and was bursting with smiles. She didn't even care that Severous was even nicer to Kagura than he had ever been to her becaue Kagura had actually gotten a smile out of him. "Well while you two talk I'm going to go embrace my love for books." She smiled and bounced happily to a table a couple feet away.

Lily was sitting at the Gryffindor table not liking the silence at all. It had seemed forever since Sunrise and Kagura had left, but she knew it couldn't have been more than 5 minutes. "I'm going to go check on Sunrise." She smiled and got up to leave.

Severus was finding it easier and easier to be civil - And it frightened him. How many years had he spent building up his cold, non-caring attitude? Nothing could touch him, no one could hurt him. Well - not very easily, at any rate. But this one decision, to be nice, for whatever reason it was.... Could he possibly be thawing? Not a good idea. I'll just have to excuse myself politely, so as not to undo this nice-ness, and end whatever this is. He thought decidedly. A normal facial expression with smiling eyes still held firm, but Severus shut the book he was reading rather suddenly and with a loud thump. "I particularly enjoy reading books from the restricted section of the library. It's curious to find out why they were in that section in the first place, and many of them are ancient as well." He said, and with another escaped smile, he disappeared.
A minute later, hidden behind a few bookshelves, he peered between two copies of 'Hogwarts: A History' at the very pretty Ravenclaw..... A sigh escaped, and he frowned at it. What on earth was he thinking?

Once Kagura had left, Severus stifled a sigh and went back to perusing through books, all the while busily developing his plan.

"Oh." Kagura said, sighing. She hoped that they'd come back soon. She wanted to apologize.

"That was the f-first time I've lost my temper in a l-long time." Kagura said quietly, hanging her head. Even though Sirius seemed to have brushed it off, she still felt bad.

Kagura smiled. "That's true." She filled her plate again, ready for desert, and thought back to her introduction in the library with a smile. Honestly, she didn't see why Sirius and Sunrise didn't like Severus. He had been so nice to her. She really liked the fact that they had some things in common. The facts that she never spoke unless answering a teacher's question and that she spent far more time with books than with people were things she was trying to change about herself. Meeting Severus made her feel like those qualities weren't quite so horrible as she'd thought, and that they'd be far easier to fix. The idea that there was someone else at her school with those qualities was....comforting, somehow. By now, she was absent-mindedly poking at her food, lost in her own thoughts, a happy smile on her face.

Kagura blinked, and looked at Lily. "...Eh? Oh, I w-went to the library."
