Of course not. But if you really think Everyone's actually going to care about your character as to actually read all your research? I got bad news for you.
I am not saying your efforts are wasted. It's just that not everyone is used to read that much. Or it's not actually worth reading it if you are first starter.
If you have taken a look, the biggest group of rp ers active on gaia are newbies.
Peorple that barely make it out with a line. Or just write 4-5 lines about people giving their first step.
Not actual or educated role players.
As such, a big chunk of information would either be scary as hell to read. They just want to rp, not take martial arts classes.

Again, I am Not saying your profile is useless. it's just not newbie friendly. I am also Not saying that you should get rid of it.
On your main profile place as less information as possible. So that everyone can understand it. just so they know oh he has this kind of ability. And give a general description3-5 lines max.
Give them time to read about the character and decide if they are interested or not in it. And for those lucky enough. On the next page (Check Alexandra's profile for an example) Then you add all your goodies. Post codes. Detailed information.
That way you actually give newbies an opportunity to know your character.
Take it as if you are writting a book.

The main profile should be like "Illo for dummies"
So that even the dumbest people can understand what Illo is and what does he do. He punches things. No big science to it. Also a Meister that can get really powerful when using the third eye.

And the next page, should be "Illo for for advanced people"
Illo is the Iron Phoenix. Who has been instructed in X martial art. As such the techniques of
"X ability"
This ability is based on the "X principle" of "Y martial art" and works this way.

"A ability"
This ability is based on the "X principle" of which was intended to be used as a defensive/offensive mechanism.

And then write until your heart is content.

see that is logical and fare (:

i also think no character should have an ability or even have it written anywhere that he cant be overtaken in hand to hand -_- thats borderline god powers. and even shinigami lost once to hand to hand.

i think you have the idea for a strong character after watching lots of over powered anime characters, guilds are not like that and require the ability to be hit and to hit in detailed form.

Ok, let me clarify. I'm
not saying Illo can't be
overtaken. That was a
bad choice of words.
I are not good at saying
thing simple.

well can you tell us what you meant then?

take in mind your opening statement involved having a punch that was nearly impossible to block.

Which punch is nearly impossible to block?

the interceptor punch, you said without seeing the move its hard to predict, but in a fight when an arm is raised its easy to tell a punch is being used.

tho once again i could be misunderstanding the situation.

The Intercepting Fist is
a fighting philosophy, not
limited to any specific punch.
I don't know how much you
know about Jeet Kune Do,
so I don't wanna insult you

whole spiel on it. Jeet Kune
Do is just Cantonese for

You expect me to trust
that everyone automatically
knows the complexities of
the intercepting fist? I'm
not buying it. I have this
stubborn belief that says
fighting is more than just
turn-based punches and
kicks until someone punches
or kicks harder than the
other guy, or uses a bigger
laser than the other guy
to win. If that's really how
simple it is, Pokemon tactics
really, then I've really
overestimated roleplaying.

So, ability:

Martial Arts:
Through the most rigorous
training, Illo has gained
knowledge of a vast variety
of martial arts forms and
has developed his own
form of Jeet Kune Do.
Illo cannot be surprised
or otherwise overtaken
directly in hand to hand
combat

You can't tell me that
gives you enough information
on Illo's capabilities as a
boxer...

Funny, I've already started
implementing a similar system
into my regular posting. Whether
you want to call it babbling or
not, I like to think I'm being
poetic, I came to the conclusion
that it would expedient to
explain myself in a spoiler
section of my posts. If I just
reverse the process, then
I should have pretty much what
you're talking about, wherein
the simple version leads and
the complex could stay neatly
tucked away in another spoiler
for those who want to know
why a Hakuta punch is so
devastating and how I would
use it.

Right, so no one reads. I
gather that. We're on the
internet. I was writing in
the details for the crew, but
hey, why not dumb it down
for the kiddies? Is that about
it? How boring.

Whatever. I gave my opinion. Take it or leave it. Have a good day.

Well, I think better actually. lol
Now that I'm getting a sense
for what a working ability looks
like, I'm seeing the my newer
creations have much more in
the way of functionality.

Suppose that just goes to show,

probably not going to be all
that great.

How long have you been RPing?

Rude? I don't get it.
Well, I suppose it's
hard to tell these things
from the inside out, so
I'll take your word for
it. I don't mean to come
off as some kinda p***k
know-it-all though...

And yeah, Illo's Jeet
Kune Do is a lot of
Cavat, Tai Chi Quan, etc.
Hell, I even threw in
a few Brazilian Juijitsu
moves in there. lol

What's really interesting/fun
to play is the concept
of Jeet Kune Do applied to
the mystic powers he has.

How long have you been RPing?

Around 3 years.
And not necessarily. Sure we always screw up on our first creations no one is excepted from them. But they are the greatest since the first characters are the ones that show us our flaws and how to improve when building one.
Eventually you can make a reboot. Honestly, some characters are just too good. The reboot is just minimal.

Right, the inevitable reboot.
That's a nice way to think

So, I gather that accessibility

I like to use a lot of environmental

What do you guys look for
in an RPC? A good one.
Also, how should a player
try to better himself in the
realm of RP?

There isnt a written guide as to what a good RPC is since we are talking about a wide range of options and variations.

What I am speaking of is a Newbie friendly character. Illo may be a good RP character but he is a complex character, not a newbie friendly.

Take my character for instance
and also Gray reaper's They are newbie friendly.

People read what they need to read and poof! all happy.

If someone is interested enough as to investigate or ask the deep roots of our characters, well we can proceed to create a special section for those trivia hunters. Apart from the main profile so that it can still be newbie friendly but also offer some juicy backstory and interesting facts to entertain the curious ones.

But I had to qualify Illo as he is right now.
He'll probably go to advanced. But unlike Saint Clara he's able to participate on lower divisions without screwing up his whole kit.
