I'm sorry, I've been a bit busy lately; but I do have some time now.
FLO:
There's probably a better word for your character's attitude towards others than "apathetic," but it's the best I can think of; he's "cool" towards them and doesn't particularly care, is what I mean. That's why I think his want for companionship seems odd, even if he's unaware of that want.
Thank you for increasing his age.
The rebels wouldn't be very interested in someone who makes commercial-type inventions; remember that their big focus is on human experimentation, in which case they'd most certainly want your character dead or captured. But remember that you don't necessarily need such a complex cover story for your character just because CHOIR is huge, and they could easily fake or alter his records. But no matter what you go with--the high school cover story or something else--remember, you need to explain it, if only so I can fit it into the story.
And I'm always willing to help people with their writing. 3nodding
And to anybody else reading this: This thread is also about questions, so ask if you're not sure about something!

Oh and, is it okay if I touch up my profile? There's not going to be anything huge, like changes in personality or anything - I just keep reread it in this obsessive manner... and I've managed to convince myself that I need to just add a little more detail here and there. blaugh

AEDIFICIUM NAME: Nathaniel Grant AGE: 28 GENDER: Male PERSONALITY: Nathaniel Grant is not one to be trifled with. Nathaniel, ever stoic and almost mechanically rigid, rarely tolerates humor when matters of duty and business demand attention. Even outside of such settings, one would be hard pressed to sway Nathaniel into cracking a smile and impossibly so to procure an act of kindness or generosity from him. It is not so much that Nathaniel possesses a scornful or immoral character as much as it is that he would not go out of his way to commit a “good” act if it did not practically benefit him in some way; of course, along the same vein, he would not hesitate to commit dastardly, inhumane acts in the name of accomplishing his goals. For Nathaniel the ends do indeed justify the means.
Underneath Nathaniel’s seemingly cold exterior exists a fiery zeal, which Nathaniel channels into support and manpower for CHOIR. Nathaniel serves no other and puts unwavering and unquestioning faith in CHOIR. He is somewhat uncompromising in his views and perceives the world in similar fashion; the world is divided absolutely and exists in black and white without room for grey areas. Nathaniel believes an individualistic attitude causes chaos and evil in the world. The will of society should be the will of the individual, and the common good overrides all other priorities.
APPEARANCE: Nathaniel’s physique is to be expected of an experienced, dedicated soldier. Nathaniel stands at a height of 6’4’’ and weighs about 200 lbs. His body ripples with toned muscles, which do not comically bulge out but are noticeably impressive. Nathaniel carries himself in an upright and alert manner, his body perpetually poised for action. The occasional scar can be seen on his body; these scars are accentuated by the tautness of his skin and the complete absence of visible bodily fat.
Nathaniel has an angular jaw and a young face that is marred by clearly apparent lines extending from his eyes down to the bottom of his nose but pointing away from it, a result of an extended lack of smiling. His dark blue eyes usually have a fierce, calculating gaze, and his slightly coarse, black hair is cut short, reaching down to his shirt collar at the back and above his ears at the sides and standing like a crew cut in the front. Nathaniel typically dresses in his uniform, supplied by the CHOIR paramilitary.
MEMORIA HISTORY: Nathaniel had been abandoned as an infant and spent the majority of his childhood living in the poorest, most socially turbulent parts of an obscure city in the United States. He practically lived on the streets and was forced to learn how to fend for himself in a ruthless world. Hardened by this upbringing, Nathaniel saw no hope or goodness in life and could easily have turned into some common criminal if fate had not intervened. While he was still at a young and impressionable age, CHOIR’s influence swept through the city that Nathaniel resided in, as well as the rest of the world in due time, and Nathaniel soon found himself living in an orphanage and attending a school, both sponsored by CHOIR.
Compared with the demeaning life he had been living before, Nathaniel’s new life, made possible by the seemingly boundless generosity of CHOIR, was a godsend. Although becoming an outgoing, friendly person was impossible for Nathaniel, he warmed up considerably and began to contemplate how he would live his bright new future. At school Nathaniel excelled respectably in his studies and participated in co-curricular activities like sports and clubs. The administrators at Nathaniel’s orphanage were quite satisfied and assured Nathaniel he was bound for college with a full scholarship.
Fate, however, had other intentions. Nathaniel was fully aware of the existence of people dissatisfied with CHOIR and its extensive power and influence. Rebel forces had even begun to congregate in a unified effort to bring about the downfall of CHOIR. Nathaniel was incensed; he could not understand the logic behind these rebels who wished to destroy the organization that had brought ideal peace and prosperity to a once corrupt and all too imperfect world. With the memories of his once hellish existence and his subsequent salvation in his mind, Nathaniel resolved to bring an end to the final obstacle that he believed prevented the world from becoming a utopia.
Nathaniel joined CHOIR’s paramilitary at the age of seventeen. The initial two years of training were demanding and somewhat unrewarding, but eventually, Nathaniel began receiving field work that pit him against the rebels and other obstructers of justice in the world. During his years in the paramilitary, Nathaniel developed the merciless, cold persona that he possesses today. His work ethic and undeniable skill were noticed quickly by the higher tier of authority, and Nathaniel swiftly rose in the ranks to become a commanding officer. At the moment he is the captain of his own regiment and hopes to gain even more leverage within the paramilitary.
POSITION: Officer in CHOIR’s paramilitary REASON: Nathaniel wishes to bring justice and peace to this world and also to repay the debt owed to CHOIR, which had given Nathaniel hope and a new life.
EXTERNUS OTHER: PLAYER NAME: krnXplaya202 _____________________________________________________________
Finally, my profile is done. I added the history and everything else below that. I hope everything is satisfactory. Just let me know if something needs changing.
