Tara smiled to Julius "I'm glad to hear that, remeber if anything is bothering you, you can always come talk to me." She then looks at the on coming riders and then to the sky changing her stance a bit, just to be ready for anything.

"Hmmm... not that I know of," Julius admits," I would have been informed otherwise." He did not make a shift in position or anything. He merely watched the riders come forwards towards them.

Alianna had spotted the riders as she scouted and followed them though she was winded by chasing them she did manage to get up on the roof of one of the buildings to get ahead of them, she sliped down the wall beside the others, "I followed them in, they came from the east, they picked up the pace ten minutes before town limits."

One of the riders rose up in his saddle, drawing a long, wickedly curved saber. With a feral whoop he slashed out with it, cutting into one person's chest. The rest of the men followed suit, their bodies slowly disintegrating to show the bodies of the demons that had possessed them.
"Fell beasts," Machus growled, darting forward. The simple longsword that he carried almost flew from its sheath, resting firmly in Machus' hand as he reached the riders. With a great swing and a line of focus from his innermost flame through the blade, the sword cut into the first rider, lighting him on fire as it passed through.

Unlike Machus, Julius was more prone to horse back combat. He swung onto his saddle and rode into the fray brandishing his blade. He prepared to drive it into the very heart of the one he was about to pass.

Alianna quickly lept into the air landing lightly on top a cart that was passing by. She drew he blade and in a quick single strike cut the head off the nearest demon to her. the head froze and rolled aside. "I had a bad felling about these guys." She growled at herself for not think it a disguese sooner.

The longsword found its way through the body of another demon as they dismounted, dancing around the warriors, calling out in unearthly tones, screaming and hissing as they moved around the warriors. Two of them pounced on Julius's horse, stabbing and biting at it.
"As do I, Alianna," Machus called, locking blades with one demon as it made a move to bullrush him. Sparks of fire and demonic energy sparked up, flying into the air as Machus kicked the demon in the gut, knocking it back. The edge of the sword sank into the soft flesh of the demon's belly, igniting the area around it quickly.

Julius leaped off the horse as it tumbled over itself. "That was my best horse," he sighs standing up. Nothing too badly injured... only a bruise upon the bone. he moved swiftly into the band of demonic warriors. If only I had Excalibur... he thinks to himself.

Alianna leapt down from her perck as it quickly moved away from the action. She ducked and dodged as another deamon came at her swinging wildly. She slipped inbetween the demons to bladed outward sing and came in close driving her sword up through the demons chin and out the top of its head. she gave her sword a hard twist and snapping the neck then drew her sword out of the unnatural shith. "Yes well you only just saw them Machus, I followed them a full click before they here. They never would have made in the city if I had acted then." She side stepped as another demon came at her.

He ducked low, drawing the blade across the back of a demon's knees. The creature began to fall, hamstrung, and he stood up quickly, raising the blade and driving it through the creature's heart as it fell. Its body caught flame, quickly turning to dust as the chaotic energy that had created it exited back to its home dimension.
"Don't worry about it, Aliana." There were only a few demons left, and they were starting to back away slowly, looking for a way out of the town. "They were well disguised. Nobody could have determined it without getting a close look." With a grunt he turned toward another demon, hurling his blade. The tip plunged through the beast's eye, and it fell backward, writhing in its death throes.

"whatever, do you realize how dissapointed my father will be if he finds out I followed them into town without trying to stop them." She shook her head as she flipped out of the way of the demon that had been coming at her. She slashed with her sword as she flipped cutting a line across the demon's face. She landed in a deffensive crouch and slashed out in front of her making a deep cut across the demon's shins. She stood up as it fell, and with a final blow cut the unfortunate demon's head off.

The remaining demons turned and fled into the city, fleeing off through the streets at high speed. "Don't worry about it," Machus said. He noticed a long cut on his arm for the first time, watching as the blood flowed down toward his hand. "All the same, why are you even concerned? I mean, you're a grown woman. If your father doesn't approve, that's his problem." He held the flat of his blade against his arm, roughly cauterizing the cut.

"I still live there, remember." She shook her head as she watched him. Alianna cleaned her blade on her skirt, then jumped up onto one of the doors and then to a roof ledge where she sat down, "well I guess that makes work done for today, what is everyone up to the rest of the day?"

"Not much," he mumbled, looking at the wound. It had reopened, even after the cauterization, and the inner part of the wound was slowly turning black, making his arm feel numb.

Julius returned to reality with the one demon he had confronted on the ground. "I'm sorry,' he says apologetically," I should have set the defenses better." He usually took it upon himself to perform multiple tasks.
