His mother was the result of second-cousins breeding, and she sent him away with his father to avoid further inbreeding with a group of same-age cousins, as well as far from other relations. He's never met any of his six uncles, none of his many aunts, or any of his twelve cousins, but he has a sense of family being a wonderful thing. This may be brought on by his lack of large family life. He also knows little of his family, from the three different lines of royal blood from three different prides, to who he's even related to.*
