Why are you Pro-Life? (Were you adopted, know anyone who had an abortion, etc.): I got into it at first because of religion and all the discussion going on there. I stayed because...frankly I love kids. I think every single one of them deserves a shot at this big 'ole world and I don't think it's right to deny them that for reasons beyond their control. I was in a Pro-life club at my high school and I was picketing at the state capital back in the day. My college studies are in the way now but now I can vote! Once I'm out, I'll probably go back. I'd love to go to the march in Washington DC one day. smile
What about physical health to the mother?: When the mother's life is in jeopardy....this is the only time I can find it excusable. Better to save one life then to risk losing both.

Rape?: I think the mother should have the child. It's never the kid's fault and they are the ones giving the ultimate sacrifice. It is difficult for me to say this...but I think it's very selfish to abort in the case of rape. But I'm not angry with the rape victims.

I'm more angry with the people who encourage them to make that decision, parents who consider having pregnent daughter (out of wedlock) shameful even though it's not the victim's fault...harrassment from the rapist...a society that portrays abortion as a quick fix. When a women says that she is pregnent, the first words she hears should not be "I'm sorry." She needs love and support to get through this tough time. If more people provided that encouragement and didn't treat pregnancy of that nature like the plague, we'd probably see a lot less abortions from rape victims.

Views on the Death Penalty?: I'm actually torn...but usually it's against. I'm for it one day and against the next three weeks. But during those three weeks I could be against it for a number of reasons ranging from the "what if they are innocent" question to feeling that death is too easy for them. It's hard...it ranges on how closely I feel to the situation and how horrifying the crime is.
Are you vegetarian?: No. Even if I wanted to, I honestly hate the taste of most other suppliers of protein like soy and tofu.
Vegan?: No
Are there another ways you're pro-life?: I'm against euthanaisa. I'm actually surprised that's not listed here. I'm also against pre-marital sex and the use of contraception.

It feels good to be in a guild where I feel I can get some food for my ethical side (even though this isn't a religious guild...every little bit helps). It's great too see that it's as active as it is (and to see men as well as women in here!).
Say something positive about someone in the Pro-Choice Guild: I honestly don't know anyone in the Pro-choice guild (if I do, I'm not aware of it). But I'm sure most of them are very nice people like a variety of other people I've met at various forums. I don't agree with them. But I can see why they are concerned about losing legal abortions so I can't demonize them.

Stopping the dehumanizing of others is what we're about right?


We have a long battle ahead of us. If we fix what leads to a mother having an abortion first (ranging from support for rape victims to improving the adoption process), that will probably clear quite a path to the ultimate goal.

Although I enjoy gaia, as an adult, I personally see how sad it is that parents allow their kids to be exposed to the constant barrage of "pro-choice" baby killing promoters on this site.

I wish gaia would change for that reason. Their TOS read that they are PG 13

It seems that PG 13 in gaia has gotten quite out of hand. 10, 11, 12 year olds and younger are exposed to chats about sex and moral choices. The troubling part is that within this unmonitored virtually unrestrained context they are learning about these things in a very deviant way. This includes abortion and other important issues. I realize I am speaking to the choir here, but heck, you wanted me to tell you why I wanted to join. LOL

Killing = Murder It's pretty simple.
And "keep your laws off my body" just doesn't cut it when that little baby inside is too defenseless to say the same.

Anyway, those are basically my views in a nutshell. I'm a mom, and a "woman" who finds the use of the term "woman's rights" to mean "allow us to kill innocent children" to be abhorent.

I don't need or want those kind of rights. I suppose if you take the religious term "free will" you could stretch it to mean you can kill someone if you want to. But quite frankly, the rest of us have the right and obligation to protect those innocent victims from the poor choices others make in the name of "free will".

That's why when I got a girl pregnant at the age of 14 (she was 15) we had decided to keep it despite the efforts of numerous people were involved and some that weren't involved. Unfortunately she had a miscarriage.

Views on the Death Penalty?: I don't think you should kill them. That's no punishment. You're not even entirely sure where you're sending them off to, if anywhere! Maybe they should, you know.... pay for their crimes.

Why are you pro-life?: My mother had an abortion when she was 19 and it tore her up pretty bad. She hasn't gotten over what she did. I don't want to be liek that. I beleive that a child deserves to live no matter what the situation.
What about mother's physical health?: She shouldn't have gotten pregnant in the first place if there was going to be complications.
Rape?: I know that when someone get's raped and is goign to have their attackers child . . .I know they will always have to live with that night. But the child has done nothing wrong so therefore it should not be punished for the father's actions.
