Maya then looked around the room trying to figure out the most strategic place to hide a fossil. This scientist sure loved to have a good time, didn't he? she wondered . . . She looked and saw a nearly perfect place to hide one. A small crevice in the wall with some rocks around it. She reached in but got nothing. The scientist laughed at how close she got, though. He moved one of the small rocks to reveal a compartment in the wall hiding two fossils. SHE WAS SO CLOSE!
(Aw man! C'mon! xD Just one more number up.)

Maya and Yue walked away from the scientist in disappointment as they went on to leave the cave. It would be a short trek to the exit and the past Route 4, then onto Cerulean City.
Yue adjusted his backback and noticed Maya was dragging behind. He offered to give her a piggyback ride, but being the stubborn girl she is, refused. To which Yue responded by forcedly putting her on his back. She thanked him quietly and they contined on their way down the path.

As Maya and Yue continued down their path, they encountered yet another Pokemart endorser. This time he handed them each an Antidote. Maya and Yue thanked the man and continued down the path. It had been a while since they last stopped, now. So they took a short break so that they could each walk on their own again before continuing.
Yue decided he'd let Maya rest and went out and battled some wild Pokemon. He used Beldum for each battle. He tried to pick out weaker opponents to prevent himself from losing too much health. He wanted to conserve items 'til it was necessary to use them. He went out for a while and in that short while he took out a large group of Zubats. About 11 over all. Completely exhausted, Yue came back to rest a while longer with his sister before continuing on their trek again.

Yue and Maya started to jog towards the end of the cave to make up for lost time, speeding by all of the wild Pokemon.
They had renewed their excitement to make it to Cerulean City. But more importantly they grew extremely tired of being a dark, damp, dreary cave. Yue panted as Maya pulled ahead of them. Yue gave it more of what he had to pull back in front. It seemed they'd turned this into a race for the finish line.

Yue ran as fast as he could, but he bumped into a pretty decent sized swarm of Zubats. He figured he'd face his own Zubat up against them and sent him out.
His Zubat cleared through the others with ease. In total, Zubat probably took out around 8 other Zubat. Yue and Maya could now see the exit however, a good thing, too. It seemed both the trainers and the Pokemon were getting worn out.

As Yue and Maya finished the last stretch of Mt. Moon, they noticed that someone had left a basket of items on the ground. To it was taped a sticker that said "Free items for trainers." The only two things left in the basket were two Ethers, however. But Maya and Yue weren't ones to complain. They took the items, put them in their bag and headed on their way.
Yue and Maya slumped on as they finally crossed the threshold of the exit of Mt. Moon. They breathed out a sigh of relief as they turned their faces to the sun, feeling the breeze through their hair. They had finally made it to Route 4.

Meg put her TM away in her bag as well. She didn't really have a use for it, so she decided she would most likely sell it when they got to Cerulean. Still, she was grateful for it. People in this region were all so nice and giving! At least, all the ones she'd encountered so far. Pyrite Town was a town full of thugs, to put it bluntly. It paled in comparison to this wonderful, green, and lively region.
The girls continued on their way through the tunnel that was Mt. Moon. Meg followed Lily closely, as she was the one leading the way. The two girls learned real fast that this place was crawling with Zubat and Geodude. They weren't in the battling mood, so they opted to run away. But it was such a pain that every turn a swarm of Zubats would fly out at them. Or, every time they stopped to take a break and sit on a rock, it would move and attack (turns out Geodude camouflage well in this place). It was really shattering Meg's nerves to the point where she flinched every time they turned a corner or passed a rock.
((Hey, from now on, you can just obtain one of each item instead of two for the both of us. If I ever need any items, I'll just come up with them myself cuz I'm cool like that lol. But yeah, I don't need any of the items here. So don't worry about that. BTW, who's taking the first trainer?))

[Sure, lol. I just wanted to make sure you weren't going to like freak out if I didn't give them to you since I made you follow me in the post. xD Sorry. Oh, and you can have the first trainer cause my computer is taking minutes to load a page and I don't want to open another tab, sorry. xD]
As they got deeper into the mountain, Lily and Meg kept on running into Geodude and Zubats. Every twist and turn a Geodude would pop up and they had to keep on running away, and after a while, it began to freak Lily out. When they turned a corner, a Geodude would come out of a rock and attack. When they went into a cave, a swarm of Zubat would come the other direction, hitting their faces. It began to get a little annoying though. Lily started to expect the events and braced for them. She didn't know how Meg felt about it though, she just kept on flinching. Lily shrugged and looked at the map again, to see how many turns they had left until they got out. The twists in the path were countless. Left, right, left, left, right, left it was all too confusing. Lily decided to check the map after every turn instead of memorize the turns in order, then put the map back into her bag.

Post 7 of Mt. Moon

[Yeah, whatever, I'll just take the trainer.]
For the first time in Mt. Moon, Lily began to feel cold, just all of a sudden. She shivered a bit then trudged on, not wanting to slow down Meg's pace. She came to a cave and put her hand inside. Its warmer. Lily though. She checked the map, and fortunately, they were supposed to turn there. Lily waved her hand at Meg as a sign to come in here, then she turned. Lily bumped into a soft, squishy figure. She stepped back as quick as lightning when she realized it was a person. A really overweight person.
"Geez, that's the fifth person who did that to me today!" The chubby girl stomped on the ground with a huge foot, and Lily flinched. "Everyone who did that to me got a battle. Everyone who got a battle lost the battle." The girl smirked and took out a Pokeball. "Goo, Weedle!" She threw it, with much effort, and a Weedle came onto the space between them.
Lily sighed, taking out a Pokeball from her bag. Everyone needed the experience, so she just took a random one. She released it and it turned out to be Peppers. Lily nodded and started the battle. "Alright, Peppers, use Thundershock." The Pikachu obeyed without question and shot out a bolt of electricity out to the Weedle. The Weedle grimaced and used Poison Sting. To the fat trainer's dismay, Peppers dodged the String Shot easily. Peppers used Thunder Shock once more and the Weedle fainted. Like that.
The girl sighed heavily, and out flew a bit of spit. It missed Lily by mere inches. Lily shrieked and ran to the egde of the cave, nodding to Peppers.
"Whatever Pokemon she sends out, just use Thundershock on it." Lily said to the shiny Pikachu. He nodded and braced himself for battle.
"Ohright, go Kakuna!"The girl threw another Pokeball onto the makeshift field and a Kakuna just stood there, only aware of itself. Peppers made quick work of it with a couple more Thundershocks since the Kakuna only knew Harden. "Dangit, you!" The girl pointed a very chubby finger at Lily's face and spit. "You defeated all my Pokemon! You were supposed to lose! ARRRGGG!!!" She fell on the ground and thrashed about. She got up and ran off, her face in her hands.
Lily looked to the ground, and the prize money was there. She scooped it up and returned Peppers. She turned to Meg. "Well that was pleasant." She said, her voice heavy with sarcasm. Lily sighed and both girls walked deeper into Mt. Moon.
[Well, I had a bit too much fun making up that trainer. xD]

((Lol...OK I promised I would post tonight and I am! Here I go~ teehee))
Meg watched as the whole scene between Lily and the girl played out. After Lily totally scorched her Pokemon with Peppers' Thundershock, she turned to Meg and made a sarcastic comment about the girl. Meg covered her mouth and snickered. It was kind of funny, she had to admit.
The girls continued walking through Mt. Moon. They had made some progress, but still hadn't found the second level yet. Meg continued to follow Lily's lead but, when they turned another corner, another trainer came out of no where.
This time, it was a girl a little older than Meg and Lily. She was dressed in what looked like a basic school uniform. What she was doing in a place like this, Meg had no idea. But as they had agreed, Meg decided to take on this trainer.
Once the girl let out her Pokemon, it was evident why she was wandering around Mt. Moon. Apparently she found Clefairy absolutely adorable and came here looking to catch some. She'd caught one so far and was looking to try it out in battle. Meg accepted the challenge.
Meg decided that Chuchip could use a little more leveling up, so she released him from his pokeball in a flash of white light. "Chuchip, use your Thundershock!" Chuchip sent a burst of electricity straight at Clefairy. It hit square on, but the Clefairy bounced back quickly. It seemed like this Pokemon was pretty capable of taking a lot of hits. It retaliated with doubleslap. An annoying move, but it didn't do too much damage. Meg had Chuchip try a couple quick attacks instead, to end the battle that much quicker. But the best way to take down the Clefairy, while taking little damage in return, was to paralyze it with Thunder Wave. After Meg had Chuchip use that move, its quick attacks were almost impossible to avoid and the Clefairy was taken out in no time.
The girl looked upset at first, but she quickly shook it off and went on her way - to find more Clefairy no doubt. Meg just shrugged. It didn't matter all that much to her. And the battle was worth it, because Chuchip gained enough experience to grow a level.

"Ooh! Nice going Meg!" Lily smiled and clapped quietly. She didn't want any Zubat to hear and come zooming after them. "Too bad my trainer was hard to look at, and yours was actually pretty." She shrugged and walked on.
A trainer came running towards them trying to catch a Zubat in a net. He smashed into Lily and set her to the ground, but he caught the Zubat a few steps later.
"Oww, hey! Go Malik!" Lily said, getting up and rubbing her head. Malik appeared, ready to battle."Use Water Gun on whatever he sends out." She said, pointing to the boy.
He was about 2 years older than Meg, which equals about 3-4 years older than Lily. He wore a bug catcher's outfit. He pouted, sending out a Sandshrew.
You aren't a bug catcher, I guess. Lily shrugged and nodded to Malik. It used Water Gun on the Sandshrew and took care of it in one hit. The boy stood dumfounded and sent out another Pokemon. This time is was that Zubat he caught just now.
"Zubat, use Leech Seed!" Since the move was bug, it didn't really effect Malik all that much. The Staryu took care of it in seconds with a Tackle then a Water Gun.
The boy sent out another Pokemon, this time a Rattata. "Use Tackle. Rattata don't have very good defenses." Lily said strategically. The Staryu ran forward in a Tackle and set the Rattata flying until it hit the wall. The Rattata bit Malik when he wasn't looking, but Malik tackled him and made him faint against the wall.
The boy frowned and gathered his things up, then dropped a sack of money. Lily picked it up. "Thanks for the battle!" Lily said weakly.
"Whatever." The boy looked upset then ran off. Lily noticed he dropped something on the ground; a Potion. Lily picked it up and put it in her bag. She then looked to Meg then shrugged.

The girls continued through Mt. Moon, still encountering (and fleeing from) numerous wild Pokemon - the majority of which were Zubats and Geodudes. Neither of them had seen any rare Pokemon so far, which was somewhat disappointing. Eventually the girls came across a nerdy looking fellow that challenged them to a battle. Meg accepted his challenge this time.
He had two electric-types on him - a Magnemite and Voltorb. They were tough for Meg, with only her Skitty and Pikachu. She didn't have any type advantages. The battle was much longer than it should have been. However, Meg's Pokemon were better trained than her opponents and, eventually, she dwindled their HP down to nothing. Meg accepted the monetary award after the battle and healed up her Pokemon.

[Yeah, no problem, I just wanna get through fast. I'm planning on making another character very soon who is a coordinator. (I hate gym battles soooo much now.) I don't have to PM the second person to you, right? Oh, and I want to make the posts short too! >;D]
Lily and Meg continued on through the vast darkness of Mt. Moon and soon bumped into another trainer. Lily stepped foreward. "I can handle this." She said.
"Good. Go Caterpie!" The girl threw a Pokeball into the air. The Caterpie rammed the air with a squishy head. Lily sent out Shoka. He needed some experience.
"Shoka, use Tackle for the entire battle." Lily said calmly. She pointed to the ground and Shoka rushed forward. Lily sat on a nearby boulder and watched the battle go on. Soon, the Caterpie was fainted, but the trainer sent out another Pokemon, Caterpie once again.
"This Caterpie won't lose." The girl narrowed her eyebrows. Once again, Bug-type Caterpie was easy pickings to Flying-type Shoka.
"I'm sure I'll win with this one." The Bug-Catcher stomped on the ground and roared. Lily looked very puzzled and nodded to Shoka, who made the Metapod she sent out faint very quickly.
Lily collected the money she girl dropped, along with a Revive she found hidden under a small rock.

After that battle, the two continued onward. They were about halfway through Mt. Moon now, having reached a small ladder that was supposed to lead them up to the second level of Mt. Moon. Perhaps up here they would be more likely to run into rarer wild Pokemon? Well, what they definitely ran into were more trainers looking for a battle. A little girl about their age, dressed like a girl scout or something, challenged them to a battle, which Meg accepted. The girl had two grass Pokemon - a Bellsprout and an Oddish. Meg took both of the girl's Pokemon out with Zuzu and Chuchip, collected the reward money, and continued onward with Lily.

Post 10 of Mt. Moon

Lily and Meg climed up a ladder and entered the second floor. A girl scout came up to them and battled Meg. The battle was over within mere minutes of it starting. Now they kept moving on silently. Things had been kind of cold between Lily and Meg now. First it had been awkward, then it was a little weird. Maybe traveling together wasn't such a great idea? [Setting it up so they just don't suddenly disband.]
Lily wasn't watching where she was stepping and hit another trainer. This time it was a boy much older than them.
"Watch where you're going, little girl!" He clenched his fists and took out a Pokeball. "Go, Zubat!" He threw the Pokeball.
"Go Peppers!" Lily sent out her Pikachu and started the battle."Keep on using Thundershock, Peppers!" She pointed at the Zubat. She winced when she saw it. Things with no eyes creeped her out. "Ugh... Peppers, don't give it a chance to attack!"
Peppers took care of the Zubat easily. The boy then sent out and Ekans, taken out the same way as before, just lots of Thundershocks.
"Aww, dang!" The boy ran off, not before dropping the prize money though. Lily bent down to pick it up, but a Clefairy grabbed it first. It ran off into the bushes, and Lily chased after it.
She saw her chance to grab the Clefairy and dove at it. Peppers shocked it and it let go of the money. Lily picked it up. Peppers shocked it once again. It start to tear up, and Lily felt bad. There's probably no food around here. It must be really hungry. If I catch it, I can feed it! Lily took out a Pokeball. "Go, Pokeball!"
[Whachow! 19! xD] The Pokeball shook back and forth... then clicked. Lily had caught it! She let the Clefairy out and it ran back into the bushes, then came out with a Moon Stone in its hands. "You want me to evolve you, eh?" Lily nodded to the Clefairy, who she decided to name Luna, and it closed its eyes and began to shine.
When the shine died down, a Clefable was in place of the Clefairy, and the Moon Stone was gone. Lily laughed, put Luna into her Pokeball, and continued on.
