Meg and Lily entered the cave entrance of Mt. Moon. Inside it was pretty dark, though there was just enough light to see where you were walking. The entire interior was covered in rock. There were large boulders everywhere. It was a wonder anyone ever found their way through here. And, apparently, it was two levels. This was certainly going to be a trek.
Meg turned to Lily. "Do you have a map or something with you by any chance? I'm not really sure which way to go first."

Post 1 of Mt. Moon --------------------
When Lily first entered Mt. Moon through the entrance on Route 3, she thought, Not so bad. But as they walked farther and farther into the mountain, it got darker and darker, as there were no holes or doorways that the light from outside could filter through.
Meg asked if Lily had a map, and Lily shrugged. "Um, all I have is a Town Map. Do you think that it shows the inside of Mt. Moon?" She got out her map and handed it to Meg so she could find out.

Meg looked through Lily's town map, but all it really listed were the routes and cities. Mt. Moon was on the map, but it didn't show how to get through it. So she shook her head and handed the map back to her.
"Man, what do we do now?" she asked. 'We're just going to get ourselves lost if we wander around looking for the exit." Just then, a burly man dressed similarly to the hiker who had given Meg the egg passed by the two. He must have heard their predicament, because he came over to them.
"You girls traveling through this tunnel without a map of how to get through? Pretty brave, but probably not a smart idea. You could get lost for days in this place if you don't know where you're goin'. I been through this place many times, so I know it like the back of my hand. Here, I think I can help you girls out." The hiker reached into his bag and pulled out what looked like a pamphlet and handed it to Meg.
"That there's a pretty detailed map of this place. You won't get lost with that, I guarantee. Just unfold it and it opens up to the map."
"Wow! Thanks so much!" Meg said. She was certainly getting very lucky with these hikers today. The man nodded and went on his way. Meg turned back to Lily.
"Ok, well problem-solved, I guess!" She laughed and opened up the map. "Ok, now we just gotta figure out where we are and then maybe we can try to read this thing."

Post 2 of Mt. Moon -------------------
Meg handed Lily back her Town Map since it didn't have a map with details about how to get through Mt. Moon. Lily shrugged and put the map back into her bag.
Just then, a hiker came close to them. He must have heard about the map issue and was trying to help. "You girls traveling through this tunnel without a map of how to get through? Pretty brave, but probably not a smart idea. You could get lost for days in this place if you don't know where you're goin'. I been through this place many times, so I know it like the back of my hand. Here, I think I can help you girls out." He said, and handed Meg a piece of paper, supposedly the map.
He went on his way, back deeper into the mountain."Thank you!" Lily called after him. She leaned over to Meg, who was studying the map. They needed to find where they were. "That's easy! We are right about here, because the entrance is right there on the map, and it is right there behind us." Lily poked and pointed around the map and the cave. "So, if we want to get through that, to the ladder to go to another level, we hafta go over there, so that means..." Lily started prodding some more and muttering to herself. "So that means we go this way!" Lily looked up from the map and pointed left.

Meg looked a bit stunned that Lily had figured out the map so well. It all looked like a bunch of dots and lines to her. She was never really good at reading maps. Meg folded the map back up into its pamphlet-form and handed it to Lily.
"Here," she said, "You're way better at reading this than me. Maybe you should hold onto it. You can lead the way, and I'll just follow. I'll get lost otherwise. I'm not really a great navigator." She laughed in spite of herself. It was a poor quality to have, especially in situations like this. But not everyone was good at everything, she supposed. And right now she was simply grateful for Lily's company. They would get through much faster than she ever could on her own.
"Ok, well we gotta watch out for wild Pokemon too. I hear this place is swarming with them. And there's probably a bunch of trainers here itching to battle too. We better be cautious."

Post 3 of Mt. Moon ---------------------------
Meg handed the map to Lily and she accepted it. "Eh, that's nothing. My dad is a scientist, so he goes to The Underground alot. He makes me navigate while he looked for orbs. The maps are way more complicated there." Lily nodded and smiled. Maybe she was good at some things. "Sure, I'll lead the way." She nodded once more and walked a couple of steps.
"Ok, well we gotta watch out for wild Pokemon too. I hear this place is swarming with them. And there's probably a bunch of trainers here itching to battle too. We better be cautious." Meg said.
"Ehyck. Trainers are annoying. Let's take traveling together as an advantage. How 'bout we each battle every other trainer? That would make the battles less for each of us." Lily suggested while they took a few more steps.

Maya and Yue crossed the threshold into the cave. Maya shrieked as a Paras jumped in front of her. "Oh! I'll take this one!" exclaimed Yue as he sent out his Beldum. With two Take Downs, Paras' health was pretty low. And he threw a pokeball . . . but the Paras knocked it back and Beldum finished off the bug with a Take Down.
"Well, sorry you didn't catch the Paras." said a nearby hiker. "Have this map as a consolation prize, I'm sure you'll need it." he then added with a chuckle, handing Yue a map.
Yue then used a potion on his Beldum as he took a look at the map to find the next way. ------------- Post 1/20
Yue found the path to the exit! Yue lost: Potion x1, Pokeball x1.
Beldum: HP: 12/14 > 14/14 EXP: 316/425

As they walked further, they encountered a trainer. Maya figured she'd take this one. He sent out his Weedle and Maya sent out her Mudkip. The battle was a tough one, but with Muddle using Mud Slap to blind the opponent Weedle, she won pretty quickly. And same with the following Kakuna. Although it's Harden did prove to be a small problem to get around, but never-the-less, Maya came out victorious!
Yue also found another Paras. He was quite surprised because they were supposed to be rare around these parts. He guess it was because the were on the first level. But he once again sent out Beldum to weaken the Paras, and when the time was right, he threw his pokeball. This Paras dodged the pokeball in nearly the same manner as the last. In a rage, he told Beldum to take it out. Maybe next time he'd try to find a weaker Paras. ----------------- Post 2/20.
Yue lost Pokeball x1.
Muddle: HP: 10/14 > 11/15 EXP: 557/425 > 132/500 Muddle forgot Growl and learned Bide!

They approached yet another trainer who sent out his Clefairy. Yue decided to take this one, sending out his Beldum once again. Using Take Down and Clefairy using miscellaneous attacks, Beldum eventually came out on top.
Yue then searched high and low to find another Paras, and finally came across one. This time he sent out Mankey to do the weakening, and realized this Paras was a few levels lower than the ones prior. When Yue thought the Paras' health was low enough, he threw a pokeball. This time it was hit with the pokeball, but it escaped. So Mankey finished it off with Fury Swipes.
