"It's probably one of those things that's different for everyone. I mean, if caring about someone and feeling certain ways about someone was the same for everyone then it wouldn't be so special" It could be that her new friend was over thinking things and had just thought herself into a knot.

"Do you really think so?" Her visage lightened as she looked towards the other mare. That would make sense, after all... It would also mean that she wasn't just leading herself around in circles of thought despite knowing that she still had much to learn.
Hearing the soft sound of voices ahead of him he pulled his wings closer to his body so that he could pick up his place through the trees without worrying about doing any sort of damage to them. The last thing he wanted was to be chastised for harming himself again... By either Kalosyni or his sister.

She nodded and smiled at the other. "There's various forms of caring right? So if there can be different kinds then it just makes sense that it could be different for everyone else." She moved closer to the other carefully and nudged her shoulder gently.
"So, the way you care for Mordecai might be completely different from how anyone else cares about someone else they care about"

He did not mean to eavesdrop or interrupt their conversation but, after hearing a familiar name fall through the sound of a familiar voice he couldn't help it. "... Mordecai? Now, what are the odds that you are talking about my nephew?"
Once more her eyes went wide and she took a step back, legs tense as if she were contemplating running. It was one thing to be talking about another mare about things like this... But if someone else had overheard?
She eased only when something that he had said settled in. "Nephew...? You're..." She turned towards Kalosyni, brow lofting. "... Is he...?" Could he possibly be the stallion that they had just been speaking about?

Her eyes lit up as she heard a familiar voice. "Acheron!" She turned around and smiled at the stallion that she'd been hoping to see and that they'd been speaking about.
"I don't know. You never told me your nephew's name. So you'd have to ask Nyx if it's the same stallion."

"Now you know my nephew's name." He chuckled softly as he shook his head, long dark mane swishing for a moment before he turned to look at the pale mare with wings of midnight. "Last I saw him he was around my size... One set of wings the color of the sky just before the sun rises at dawn; another the color of the fire that lingers in the sky just before the sun sets."
She nodded slowly at the description. That sounded about right save for, perhaps, the difference in height... But Acheron may have seen Mordecai more recently than she had. "You... Won't tell him I was talking about him, will you?"

"So it was him." She laughed softly. "Small world. I never thought i'd meet someone who was friends with my friends nephew." That was certainly surprise. To think that they'd all just run into each other by chance.

His brow furrowed slightly as he looked to the pale mare, trying to make sense of why she seemed so... Frightened... Or perhaps it was shy. With his wings pulled back he didn't think he was all that intimidating unless one was looking him straight in the eyes. Of course, if she knew Mordecai she had seen his eyes...
"I would think that one would like to know when a friend was speaking of them... Unless the two of you aren't friends?" Maybe that would explain the way her wings seemed to tremble from something other than the cold. He then turned towards Kalosyni. "... I'm not looking particularly frightening today, am I?"
"Oh, no!" She shook her head before looking back up to the stallion that had joined their quiet conversation. "We're friends... At least... I would hope that we were still friends."

"Frightening? No." She smiled and shifted so she could nudge him. "But it is always a bit off setting when someone you're talking about just appears out of nowhere." She laughed softly before she looked back at her new friend.
"Why wouldn't you be? Friends don't just toss each other side you know." She'd hope that they didn't at least. That wouldn't be nice at all.

"Oooh... So you were talking about me as well as my nephew?" His brow lofted as he reacted to the nudge by turning his head so that he could catch the piece of soft fabric trailing down along Kalosyni's neck in his teeth, giving it a light tug. "What sort of horrible things have you been saying?"
She certainly did not understand Acheron's sense of humor. He was accusing them of saying horrible things about him while laughing? Did that mean he didn't really think they'd said horrible things? Why would he even say that?"
She frowned as she looked at the ground for a moment, trying to lighten her expression as she looked to the other mare. "You're right, of course. Friends don't leave our minds when they leave our sight."

"All sorts of horrible things." She grinned. "Wicked nasty things that you just know are all true." She laughed as she looked back at Nyx.
"Friends always stay with us. I'm sure he's thought about you while you were thinking about him." Acheron had said that his nephew was a lot like him and she knew that Acheron thought about her. So it made sense to think that Mordecai would have thought about Nyx.

She tilted her head slightly as she noticed that Nyx seemed to be confused. "It's ... well we didn't really say anything horrible. I was just teasing him." And he'd seemed to get it since he played along so it hadn't done any harm.

"Oh." The two and their interaction were most definitely different from the way her family interacted. Perhaps she needed to get out and amongst others more often. "Should I... Leave the two of you together so that you could talk?" Her brow lofted as she looked to Kalosyni. If Acheron was her special person then she was sure they'd want to talk.
"No, no... If I was the one who interrupted a talk I should be the one to back out... Especially since it was talk between two ladies." He nodded slowly. "It was rude of me to interrupt anyways."

"No no, you can both stay. The more the merrier" She smiled as she looked between the two. It would be nice of her friends knew each other. It was always good to be able to know that those you liked all liked each other.
