"If you're uncomfortable then let me know and we don't have to go," A calm tone flowed from his mouth. "I understand how it can be with prides, though it's better we aren't alone this hunt. It'll help us learn how each other hunts since we'll be traveling by ourselves for a while." He smiled and stopped short as she came to his face and he nuzzled it reassuringly.

The nuzzle set her feelings of prides aside, and she felt comforted into the idea. If he was with her, then there was no wrong.
"Thank you." She said, her voice soft. She'd never explained her history, and she didn't plan on starting now.. But her family had been split so angrily, and had left her a product of misfortune.
"Im, okay with the idea of a pride.. As long as you'll be there to help." She also wanted protection. She was terrified of big prides of cats.. Always had been..
"Just... Dont leave me." She said, her eyes soft, as she nuzzled his nose in return.

Cassius smiled. "Don't worry, I'll be there to protect you." With that he continued until they met a pass in a hillside. "Now the pride is just up ahead so be careful if you see Jukar. He's the large green male, about my size." He headed into the pass waiting for Addie to catch up.

Addie smiled, and walked with him. Upon hearing his warning, she almost backed out.. She didnt want to have a large lion angry with her..
Cassius was not little, which meant the other was not little either. She wasn't exactly.. small.. But she was smaller than the lions. She puffed up her chest a bit. She could fight like the rest of them.. Better in fact..
But she despised getting hurt.. which was her major issue.
"Kay, got it."

When the two of them reached the end of the pass they came to an open plain where several female lions surrounded the area, some talking, others watching over their cubs that were playing nearby. A large female lion yellow in color with blue eyes strode up to Cassius with a smile on her face. "Hello Cassius!" She exclaimed. "Hello Kina." Cassius smiled politely and they shared a brief conversation. "I'd like you to meet Addie, she'll be with me for a while." Kina looked to Addie and in a welcoming manner introduced herself in return.

Adalae gave a soft smile, and tried to be as polite as possible. Oh please dont upset them, oh please dont upset them..
"Hi.."
She said, giving a nod, and somewhat looking at Cassius. She felt out of place, that was for sure. Everyone was looking at her, and some cubs were scrambling around her paws.
She tried lifting her legs as they came.
"I dont want to step on them.."

Kina laughed. "You might as well, it's the only way they'll learn." Cassius laughed at her comment and walked forward into the pride. "Jukar will be back any minute though so you shouldn't stay long." Kina warned in a friendly tone. "I'll be sure to watch my step Kina, however we were hoping to hunt with you tonight it doesn't look like we should. I don't want to upset Jukar any further than I have by coming here today. Though you realize that Nevar was wondering near the watering hole again today, he's visiting more often." Kina's eye twitched. "Oh reeally?" She turned to see her son sheepishly duck behind a rock. "Oh Nevar.." She wander off to her son. Cassius could only laugh. He turned to see Addie still standing where she was and he turned back and pushed her along.

At Cassius's nudging in the right direction, she looked sheepish, and looked back at Cassius.
"Why such bad blood between you both?"
She asked, watching the lioness wander away in search of her little son.
"Everyone else seems delighted by your arrival."

"This is a pride Addie, the male leader of a pride doesn't like other males nearby more or less interacting with anyone inside of it. He thinks I'm trying to take his position as leader." He walked in front of her as Jukar stepped into his sights. Cassius put a smile on his face. "Hello Jukar," Jukar stood silently as Cassius passed near him. "We were just leaving actually, hope we didn't disturb you." Jukar took notice of Addie and scowled at her. "Just what did I tell you the other day you filthy outside, stay away from my pride. Now you bring more outsiders here? Just who do you think you are!?" Cassius continued with the smile. "I didn't mean any harm in it, we're just passing through. I won't be in these lands much longer anyway I thought I'd come and say good-bye to everyone." Kina stepped out in front of him. "You're leaving? Why?" Nevar pawed at Cassius's leg. "Yeah, how come?" Jukar only growled in anger at the attention he was obtaining. "Enough! Get out of here!" Jukar had lost his patience.

Adalae despised being talked to that way, and to her utter mortification, her tongue lashed out some choice words herself.
"I cna understand not wanting him here.. as he is a lion.. But to take the action against a female.. And to call me an outsider no less? Im sorry, mister.. But Im afraid I should let you in on the secret. I am indeed an outsider. But if prides are governed by such cruel individuals, then by god Im EXCITED I'm not in one."
So that was it . She had just signed her death warrant, and oddly enough, she didnt really care. She huffed, offered a scowl, and stood there, tall and proud.

Jukar stood there and raised a brow, Kina stiffled a laugh as she held her paw to her mouth. A might of embarassment slipped across his face and he regained his coldness as he stepped out to her gruffly, Cassius putting a paw out to cross his path. "Try it." He glared him down.

Adalae growled, and lowered her head, somewhat baring her teeth in defense. If he came any closer.. Any closer at all.. She would fight him.. Much to the fear of herself.
Thankfully, Cassius intervened, and saved her hide this time.. Surely he'd get sick of that.. Her father had done it many times before.. Even if it was he who almost got her killed.
"I prefer to be spoken to as a lady.. Not an outsider."

Jukar snapped his teeth at her an in one far stretched swipe Cassius struck Jukar across the face with his claws. "BACK OFF JUKAR!" His fur stood on end and his paws gripped the earth though tensed he was careful that if he were to be pushed into Addie he would fall the other way. "This isn't your place to be here and who are you to rightfully ask to be spoken to as a lady if you do not behave as one!" Jukar entered his own stance though an offensive one and he was on edge like a blade. He too gripped the earth but if his own were to get in the way he'd surely throw them aside.

"Why you creep!" She gasped, snarling a bit, her own fur on end. Her claws were extended, and her teeth bared. Let him come at her. Lets see what he could do.
This was exactly why she'd never been part of a pride. Most were ruthless.
"I am very much a lady, and I was called an outsider before I spoke one word. So before you talk to me like that again, I suggest you rethink it clearly."
She looked to Cassius, and her heart swooned. What a hero.. But he couldnt always fight her wars.
"And I will fight you to defend my honor. Though I'd prefer not, so I suggest toning it down." She flicked her tail, agitatedly.

Cassius looked at her warningly. He did not want to fight though he would if it came to it, but her egging him on was not helping the matter, as was proven when Jukar lunged for her and Cassius fell to the side fighting him off. Though Jukar was as large as Cassius he was not as strong, Jukar was older and more worn down from his years than Cassius. "I don't want to fight you Jukar, stop this now!" Cassius growled at him. Kina held Nevar close and watched as the two fought though no fear was in her eyes, she was cold as stone. If Cassius was to win this fight, by law of nature Cassius would have to kill the pride's current cubs to make room for his own. This she was not about to let happen.
