Teddy Lupin: same place, same day

Teddy looked over at Skylar and saw the interesting device. "Ooh, what is this fancy little trinket?" he asked as he curiously plucked it from her hands. The earbuds fell from her ears, and he stuck them into his own while trying to decipher the device. "What does this do, anyway?" he asked shrewdly, turning his thumb around the little pad the way he'd seen her do it a moment ago. The music that had been nice suddenly became deafeningly loud. "AHH!" he shrieked as he yanked out the buds and threw the machine onto Skylar's lap. "It tried to kill me!" he squeaked with wild eyes.

Jesse McKowan: same place, same day

Jesse looked around the compartment in mild intrest. Skylar was explaining an I-pod to Ted, Vic and Christine were chatting up a storm, and Kay was sitting in the corner, staring off into space. Jesse snorted. Riiight. Kay was never unfocused unless she was talking to the Voices. He slid into the seat next to her. "What's up?" Kaylin looked and him, and he shivered. Her eyes had gone dead and empty, like they had when her Aunt had died ten years ago. "Someone's coming." Jesse raised her eyebrow. "What do you mean, Kay?" "Someone bad. Bad like they were seventeen years ago." Jesse felt his blood chill. "You're talking death eater bad?" Kaylin nodded. "Who told you that, Kay?" "Bobby said he heard Uncle Alan say something about it before we left." Jesse smiled and gave a nervous chuckle. "Well, maybe Bobby's just trying to scare you." "You know that's not true. Bobby might be morbid, but he wouldn't lie to me, and Uncle Alan knows things. He wouldn't lie, especially since he wasn't paying attention to who was around when he said it" Jesse nodded. "You gonna tell someone?" Kaylin snorted. "Jesse, you know nobody's gonna believe me if I say Bobby told me." Jesse sighed and nodded. "I guess we'll just have to be on high alert then, won't we." Kayling nodded decisively. "Aye."

Christine Scquarrinz: same day, same place

Christine listened to how Victorie's summer had been. She wasn't quite sure of what to say at the moment. A moment later Victorie got up and left the compartment to go and perform her prefect duties. Christine just sat there and looked out the window for some moments. The countryside was passing by so fast that it was slightly blurred. Christine had set Stella on her lap so that the cat would be more comfortable. As Stella changed positions and curled up again on Christine's lap, Christine looked around the compartment again.

Victioire Weasley, same place, same day

Victoire walked along the halls of the train, checking various compartments and making sure everything was in order and that people were comfortable. As she was doing so, she came upon a compartment of Slytherins, but what had caught her eye was the headline on the front page of the Daily Prophet. She asked the boy holding it if she could look at it for a moment. He looked at her hesitantly, but handed it over after a glance at her Prefect badge.

The headline on the front page read, "ESCAPE FROM EXILE!" The picture below it was a photograph of Fenrir Greyback growling. Victoire had heard a bit about Fenrir Greyback, the werewolf that had bitten Teddy's father. One thing she did not know was whether or not Fenrir Greyback's escape was an immediate threat. She remembered hearing her parents, Fleur and Bill Weasley, talking about an escape and seemed a bit hesitant about her going back to Hogwarts that year. That was what she had been anticipating to let Teddy know. Now she had more information she must relay to him. Whether or not Fenrir Greyback was who her parents had been speaking of, Victoire was unsure, but she knew it couldn't be too far off track.

Victoire cursed in French and gave back the Daily Prophet to the Slytherin boy. The entire compartment stared at her questioningly as she walked out.

Teddy Lupin: Same place, same day

Teddy looked aimlessly around the compartment, wondering what they could talk about, when he started to get drowsy. Leaning against the window and watching the countryside go by, his father's weakness for trains had plainly transferred to his only son. In order to stay awake, Teddy sat up and shook his head fiercely. He then took out his Muggles and Minions stats from his trunk, and began to carefully adjust his handicap points and organize his Special Ability tiles. Muggles and Minions was probably the coolest game ever. Sure, it was a bit dorky, but who ever said that cool people couldn't play a dorky game? Alright, so Ted wasn't that cool, but that was alright with him! He enjoyed sticking out like a sore thumb. Although he was sometimes strained in his morphs after full moon, he always tried to change his appearance at least once daily. Uncle Harry, noticing this over the summer, somewhat cryptically encouraged him to keep doing so. He had very little time to be curious about his occasionally paranoid godfather's warnings, though, as he had been preparing to leave for King's Cross for the last time.

"So, uh...anyone up for Exploding Snap?" Ted finally asked, wanting to distract himself from the gently thrumming of the train's motor and the rocking of the train on the tracks that was making him so sleepy. Perhaps a few explosions would help.

Skylar Jacobs: Same Place, Same Day.
"I'll play," Skylar said simply, leaning into the table.
