She really didn't care what the others though about it, she was fascinated by VooDoo's power, the way he carried himself, even his past which if he could explain she doubted that he would. She didn't feel a love of him, no her heart was only for her Chokoae ... but he was a novelty something strange she'd yet never meet but still beneath that heavy scent of death, hatred, and rage was the familier twang of the homelands, of sweet mother Germany.
She paused as they stepped into the clearing and looked around, besides their grandparents whom were probably at Shade's glade, there was Meuch .. VooDoo ofcourse... and Keera ... but that was all she saw. No Ernsta, as if she expected to see her, and the new stallion that was colroed like the motherland flag.
She hoped that maybe the others were just in the shadows feeding, that so many hadn't been swayed by Ernsta's words so easilly.
Cacille stamped her hooves in frustration before moving forward into the clearing.
~~~
VooDoo moved away towards a large rock wall at the far end of the clearing, hidden in the area was the entrence to his cave home where he would continue his work to allow himself the aility to speak, not out loud of course, bt into the mind of those around him.
His mane billowed beside him as he walked, long tresses of silky black nad crimson.
Despite his morbid appearence and tench he was oddly beautiful, but he was still so obviously deadlly too and his very appearence let it be known that he wasn't one to be messed with.
~~~
The world arund them all fell silent sudenly, Meuch and Keera's heads came up and even VooDoo paused, for nobody dared move when Shade made her approach.
And approach she did. Emerging from the darkness her velvitine coat glistning with star like sparks. Blue roses grew on black vines tightly around her forelegs, and blue flames raced up her legs and tail as ghostly white flames accented those.
The red celtic moon on her rump stoodm out agains the black night coat, only to be hazzed slightly by her otherwise transparent wings as she folded them down apon her broad back. A mane more like blue smoke fell down across her thick neck and her wild bi-toned eyes stared at the small gathering before resitng on Cacille, Constantine, and mos tof all Mista.
With a sparking flick of her tial she moved slowly towards them, her fnags glistening like daggers and the moon designe dnecklace hanging gracefully aobut her neck.
The queen of the herd was something to be feared, respected, obeyed, and yet at this moment Shade looked more frail than ferocious; but Markus had been her oldest son, her wisest son, and the one whom she had been planning to turn their family over too.
"Mista ..." the melodic German voice echoed ut like the rnging of bells on a crisp winer morn "we're all so very glad that you have returned to us." It wasn't a lie, but Shade would have liked it to be for far better reasons ... maybe like the announcement of more grandkids.

Nighmista eyed the ones aroun them, sending a small smile to those she saw around her. Her lips curled at the sight of NightShade making their way toward them, although she knew her smile to be quite forced toward the much larger mare. She couldn't help but feel happy to within the mare's prescence once more, to be honest she had missed coming to this grove to just visit.
Bit now was not a happy time, and at NightShade's words, her stomach fell dratically and her heart sank within her breast, but she remained frozen on the spot, her face void of no emotion.
"Lady NightShade..." She murmured her voice low and holding respect for the one before her, bowing her head slightly, only to straighten back up. "I come in need of the family, I know of what my daughter has been up to.... And the pain that some of us had been through with my.. our loss."
Constatine watched as the dark stallion left them, only to move his head from his mother's back to gently step back fromt he oncoming large mare. His grandmother. He hadn't seen her since he was a young foal, and wished it could be on better terms.
As he was greeted by her he bowed low in respect, like he would with even his grandfather, before straightening up once more. The red moon mark upon his neck proudly displayed his heritage, as he stood tall behind his mother. To be honest, his demonic dual-coloured eyes searched around them, resting ont he family that resided in the clearing.

Cacille stood off by herself now listening to bits and pieces of the conversation. It was as if a switch had suddenly been turned on and she changed to a completely different mare.
Her face was hard and cold, sightless eyes boring out into nothingness, her brow and mouth drawn into hard lines. She stood perfectly still muscles bulged out as if refraining herself from making some move or gesture. Her ears which were rarely ever turned back now lay flat against her skull as if they had been glued down.
Cacille, whom one would have never expected to see a mean pore from was suddenly distraught and angry ... no not even angry enraged.
With a sudden violent toss of her head and, no goodbyes, she took off at full gallop back to her and Chikotae's clearing.
~~~
Shade watched Cacille from the corner of her eye, and when the mare left she let out a long sigh shaking her head. She didn't speak on the mare's odd behavior though it had been happening a lot lately.
Turning slowly back to Mista she nodded gracefully "the family is in turmoil, I hope it can be resolved without another loss..." her voice trailed away and she tossed her head herself looking to Constantine eyes boring into his with the ferocious glare she gave most of the family. "Where is your brother?" She sounded utterly pissed and disgusted that Drake wasn't there with his mother and the rest of his family.
Despite it being a question she didn't give Constantine the chance to answer "be a dear and go find him ... bring him back even if it takes hog tying him and dragging him behind you..." once more her melodic voice faded away before coming back strong "oh, and do please be quick about it ... the time has come to talk battle strategies."
She turned back to Mista with a snap of her body "come darling ... Nightmare is waiting for us in my clearing."
She turned moving once more towards the forest her wings snapping open fanning out at her sides.
Instantly reacting to her commands the path stretched large enough for the two mares to walk side by side through the gloomy spirit filled forest.
To say he was surprised by his ister's sudden movement would be an understatement. He had been seeing her react suddenly completely enraged whenever she had trained with Nightmare, he had been watching her as he said. Sighing, he shook his head as she suddenly spun and galloped away from the grove.
Constatine had not been given the chance to reply to Shade's words, but he did not want to reply, he did not even made a move to reply. At her harsh glare, he did not feel frightened. He was used to that tone of voice, or their deepset eyes that constantly glared. Turning he spotted a few other of hi family, the ones from his herd. His aunt and uncle were hidden within the shadows.
"Goodbye Mother." He nipped her rump before he tood sped off from the group, hooves thundering upon the ground and creating the rolling sound of thunder within the grove. It died away the farther he got, for he could not fly within the thick forest, his large wings prevented him from doing so.
~~~
NightMista was in complete shock as her daughter vibrated and seemed to pulse with anger beside her, golden eyes widening as she turned to statre at the complete look of rage upon her daughter's face. She could not believe the way her daughter was acting, and yet, it seemed to enhance the beauty her daughter had received.
Sighing as she watched her daughter bolt, the rage having consumed her, fromt he grove, saddened eyes watching closely. And then the n** to her rump from her eldest son, she turned and gave him a half smile as he was ordered to find Drake. Which he was probably training, she had gotten that information from Pandora. The leader to the herd she resided in.
Turning back to NightShade, she nodded slowly at her words. Nightmare was awaiting them, would anyone else be there within the grove Shade always went to? She was curious as to what they would completely speak of, and her mind spun and her stomach fluttered in complete horredous nervousnes. She tepped up beside Shade as they walked.
~~~
Laying completely still upon the ground, the pink stallion was curled into a small ball that was completely comfortable to him. But to some one els, probably not. The flames of his body danced along the Earth around him, trying to allow him time enough to awake if anyone was to disturb him as he slept within his and Cacille's secret clearing.
Flicking an ear lightly, he didn't know that he beloved was on her way to him, but his black tipped feathered wings fluttered against his back. Grunting as a vibration came from the Earth, he rolled over onto his back, neck and back flat against the ground, while his legs were in the air slightly. His wings were spread upon the Earth under him.
Rolling all the way over, black lashes fluttered open to the world, showing the blind eyes underneath. They were as white as pearls with no pupils, not even the murky shade blind eyes would be. They were pure white. Snorting through a blue snout, Chikotae awoke with the sound of thunderous hooves coming toward him.
Shade was silent for a moment as the moved along the shadowy path, her ghostly blue mane fluttering against her powerful neck. The woods seemed to be void of sound, even the thud of their hooves was dulled by thick soft ground. The silence was nearly maddening but then Shade decided to speak.
"Nightmare fears that this training has begun to make Cacille think something like Ernsta." She fell silent for a moment thinking on how to put the words ... "she's become very vocal about raising all foals to never look bellow us in rank for a mate. As you saw, she has also started to have uncalled for fits of rage that we don't understand."
She frowned to herself eyes narrowing to slits, she couldn't understand what was causing the changes in the once sweet Cacille.
At first part of her had been proud that their princess was growing a back bone then she'd watched as Cacille tore into Meuchelmorder for bringing a young lover back to the herd.
Her wings snapped open and she stretched him off of her back before folding them back down.
"The only thing we can figure is that she can't differ between her thought process in a battle and that in normal situation."
She fell quiet again as they entered the clearing.
~~~
Mare was once more in his armor, he was laying on the ground all his legs tucked under him; well all except his clawed leg which was stretched out before his body. His mane made a cascading waterfall across his face and neck so his head was completely hidden behind the blood colored locks. He would have appeared to be a statue of marble i it wasn't for the slightest moment of his sides with each breath.
He stayed motionless for some time, making it seem as though he was out cold and far from awakening.
But as they approached he suddenly rose to his feet in a lightning quick and graceful movement. Tossing his mane to the other side of his neck he looked at Mista and Shade carefully, for a moment he seemed surprised not to see Cacille, as he already knew where Shade had sent Constantine, but one glance from Shade whipped the surprise from his eyes so that it was replaced by a look of foreboding sadness.
A long moment passed before his eyes became emotionless again and he moved towards Shade's huge boulder as she ascended it and lowered herself down, tucking her hind legs beneath her and letting her forelegs hang over the front edge.
"we shall wait for the others to arrive before we begin..."
~~~
Cacille moved with gusto towards their clearing, her eyes narrowed to slits. She didn't keep her normal graceful stride, instead she seamed more like a Sherman Tank, plodding along without a care.
Her tail was snapping like a whip and her flames crackled even higher upon her legs and spreading out from her legs as if they wanted to burn the forest down around her.
She entered their clearing and pawed at their small stream snorting. She stopped and seemed to stare into the thin stream of running water. Her mane fell about her head framing her chiseled features.
Cacille just stood there, her muscles rolling beneath her coat in waves as she tried her best o contain the anger that was so eager to just overflow and blow up like the eruption of a volcano.
NighMista flicked her tail slightly as the silence almost chipped away at what sanity she had left, eating away at the little piece bit by bit. But she was snapped back to reality as Shade's words interrupted the silence and she only sighed in relief to that, knowing her sanity would be intact. This grove and forest always seemed to do that to her, but she could not help it.
"Cacille is not meant for battle, sorry for that, but she carries more of my tendencies it seems." She muttered, sighing softly as she hoped her beloved daughter would recover and not fall into the hands of Ernsta. Yes, she loved them both but what Ernsta was doing had to be stopped. "That is just my opinion, perhaps she was not ready to learn the lessons Nightmare gave her? There is no reasonable explaination to it, it seems..."
Shaking her head as she was lead into Shade's little clearing, she noticed Nightmare laying quite still within his armor. She could barely hide the little smile that twitched her lips slightly, she was thankful he had comforted her and stayed with her through her tears. She would never forget that act of kindness toward her. Nodding her head to Nightmare's word, she stood by Shade's large boulder, awaiting.
~~~
Constatine pounded his way through the grove, his hooves thundering along the ground and keeping the ghosts and spirits within the grove away from him. He had felt them claw at his hooves and cloak as he had left, but he only kept plowing through with intense speed and power radiating from his form. Thus the demons shrank back.
Bursting through the glade, he only picked up in more speed, plowing over the flat land with hard powerful thrusts of his legs. His nose was working a mile a minute, trying to catch the scent of his brother, as well as to find the bond, a connection, the German family seemed to have. Snorting loudly, he suddenly jumped forward and had his wings snap out, the demonic tendants spreading to full length as he took to the air.
Drake was training, but where did he like to train again? He wondered aloud, angrily narrowing his eyes as he soared higher and stared at the ground in search of his blood red brother. He soared quickly, the winds tearing at his cloak and mane, to which he only growled as it flicked into his eyes.
A red body caught his attention and he let out a battle roar cry, only to hear one in return from his brother below him. They had created that greeting from many a years ago when they were foals. Diving toward the ground, he landed with no sound and growled at his younger brother.
"Come on, Mother, Grandfather and Grandmother need you." He watched as his brother opened his mouth. "No, now!" he snarled and shoved his red-coated brother toward the Glade, both of them turning into a thundrous run.
~~~
The red coloured stallion had left his beloved Queen behind to rest, they had been training for a long time, and he had told her he would be gone for some time. Flicking his demonic tail slightly, he heard the clinks of the armor of his feet as he walked. His wings flexed slightly, tightening against his back.
A sudden battle cry, one he knew, came from the skies and he only returned it with his own, knowing it was his elder brother who landed on the ground before him. The dark stallion was taller then him, yes, but not by much. He carried himself more in a hunched-warrior stance, his brother the proud swordsman.
As Constatine told him he was needed, he was about to have a rebuttle of 'But Allura...' but the look in his brother's eyes, and the tone he carried soon after had him thinking otherwise. As he was shoved, none to nicely, he turned around into a full blown gallop toward the glade, Constatine hot on his hooves.
Muscles rolled with each powerful strike his hooves made upon the ground, hind leg armor clinking a nice tone with each powerful thrust. His shoulders rolled nicely, like anyone in their German blood would have. His training had paid off well, would his grandfather be proud of him? His murky eye rolled slightly, but he did not feel the movement.
As the two males plowed through the flatland, they soon found themselves plowing through the trees toward the glade as well. The spirits tried as much as they wanted, couldn't reach the two stallions as they thundered loudly through it, following the path their Mother had followed earlier. Drake growled at the scent of a new stallion he had not yet witnessed, but shook it off as he kept plowing.
He barely noticed as he plowed through the clearing where everyone was gathering, staring around and conversing with each other. Drake noticed the trees that normally lead to Shade's glade were still open, and he plowed through those as fell, thundering loudly with his brother.
~~~
Grumbling lowly within his mouth, Chikotae slowly rolled onto his stomach, bringing his hooves underneath him as he rolled. Yawning softly, he pushed himself up from the ground to stand on all fours. He could feel his flames dance up from the Earth to recollect where his mane and tail were, the pink flames falling into place as well as the aqua ones. The blue remained tickling along the Earth.
"Cacille?" He murmured, knowing that scent from anywhere that had came into their small clearing. He was on the other side of the stream and slowly, he walked toward the scent, using his wings as a balance to hold him straight. His feet touched gently on the ground, feeling his way toward her and the water. Once there, he blinked a few times, his lashes tickling his cheeks.
A spiced scent mingled with the already spicy scent of the mare, but this one left a bad taste within his mouth. Rage, anger, hatred. Only those left such a taste, why would his beloved mare have this taste on her? Blinking a few more times, he tilted his head. He had never seen her in such a state as this, it was far worse then anything he had experienced within the little german family. Except Ernsta's hate.
"Cacille? Are you alright?" His tone was deep, and yet held a gentle tone to it, trying to sooth her with his words more then anything else.

NightShade flicked her tail and eyed Mista from her place on the rock "aye, dear Mista that is where you are so very wrong. Cacille has proven time and time again that she was born to battle as much if not more than her sister. I fear it's a fault of our blood, we are drawn to the thrill of a battle. We live, breath, and die for the fight." She was very right, all the Germans were built large with rippling muscles, but along with that they had a grace and fleet footed-ness that allowed them to appear to dance on the very air in a battle and become almost unbeatable with ferocious fast attacks. "The love of battle is not your daughter's problem though, she is better suited to fighting than even Ernsta and could be very helpful in this war ... her problem is her inability to slip back into battle mode when it's not needed."
She looked to Nightmare whom was oddly silent staring into the shadowy forest behind her. He had changed much since Markus's disappearance, his lust for a battle had dwindled to nothing and despite the failure of others to see it, he was growing very ragged from a lack of feasting on flesh.
She could hear the approach of hooves on the path leading to her beautiful little glade so she slapped her spaded tail against the rock letting out a loud cracking sound and sending a shower of ghostly white sparks everywhere to get Mare's attention from whatever he was pre-occupied with to the matters that were soon to be laid before them all. His mind needed to be here, now, or this could very well all go awry and she just couldn't have that
Slowly she turned her head to stare at the entrance to the path as Constantine and Drake thundered into the clearing.
~~~
Mare looked amazing, his armor was polished till it was nearly azure colored glass, there wasn't a single scratch in the dark metal so it almost seemed to be new.
For a long time Mare had no clue what the two females were saying, all he heard was buzzing in the tune of their voices. His mind was a million worlds away from the here and now. The 24k gold trimming was just as brightly polished. His claw was the only part of his body, besides his eyes and tail of course, that wasn't covered in the heavy armor. Thankfully winter had begun to set in so the armor wasn't burning into his tender flesh either.
His mane was brushed to such a silky perfection that it seemed almost a sin for a single knot to disfigure the perfection of the red strands. A slight breeze wafted through the blood red strands making them blow graceful against his armored neck and head.
The slap of Shade's tail caused him to toss his head with a snort making his mane fly up in a furry of red silk before settling beautifully back to his side.
"Sorry m'lady,"
Turning he looked to the path as his grandson's entered.
~~~
Cacille was silent for a moment, then she forced herself to take many slow breaths calming herself once more, erasing the anger and the hate from her being ... for now anyway.
She stepped gingerly across the waters and nuzzled her cheek into Chikotae's neck. "I'm fine love, just had some things on my mind, but I'm perfectly fine now."
She had forced her usually cheerfulness back to her voice as she softly nuzzled his cheek before turning away to head back across the small stream "come .. I want to rest before I have to return to my grandparent's and my mother."
She had her wing draped over his side so that she could lead him to the large willow she loved to sleep under.

Night mista sighed aoftly at Shade's words, her eyelids fluttering closed over her eyes at the mention of her daughter being stronger, perhaps better, then Ernsta. She flinched slightly, moving away from the boulder briefly to stare out into the forage that surrounded Shade's glade.
Snapping her tail under her cloak, she sighed softly and glanced sadly around the forage once more, her heart clenching within her breast. What did she really expect when she entered this family? Sighing, she turned her head back toward Shade and Mare at the sudden snap against the boulder.
Lifting her golden gaze she stared as her two sons clambered loudly into the clearing, eyes widening at the appearance of Drake. he had changed, and she felt her heart soar at the sight of him. She had missed her son, but she remained in place, stoic beside the boulder.
~~~
Drake thundered through the opening, his body moving quickly and his muscles rolling with each movement he made. As he came into the clearing, he skidded to a quick stop, dirt soared around his form and as it settled, Drake only snorted as it flew into his nose.
His good, demonic eye settled upon Shade, while the other didn't quite see Mare standing so close to his grandmother. Although he could scent the stallion. Bowing his head low, his muscles rolling with the effort, the deep scar upon his neck moving with him. A reminder of a mistake, and a battle that started this all.
"You called for me mlady?" He murmured to the Earth, but everyone knew it was for Shade. After Nightmare had smacked some hardcore sense into his head, he had gained more respect for the family and for the rank they held.
~~~
Constatien thundered in after his brother, stopping ina more graceful manner by slowing his gallop and not skidding. He trotted to a stop close to Mare, eyeing his brother slightly with a crtical eye. Yes, the boy had improved in his overall muscle build. And anyone could smell the broken wood and sawdust that tingled with his brother's scent.
With a closer eyes, Constatine could see tiny flecks of blood upon his brother's coat, having dried over night. He could see splinters within the flesh and shook his head. Smashing trees? Shrugging, he turned his gaze to Shade, awaiting her order.

As the boys entered the clearing Shade slowly rose to her feet, but it almost looked pained as if each movement was a struggle. She nodded her head to acknowledge Drake's boy and right to return to his normal stance then looked at the four gathered. Her once wild eyes were quiet, serious, and determined now ... but with a twinge of sadness.
Suddenly her tail snapped like a whip and she tossed her head making the semi-transparent blue mane fly.
"The time has come..." her voice was grave and she paused for a moment to let the words sink into the gathered bodies. "We have to make the first strike against Ernsta."
She looked at them all again eyes dancing over each one sizing them up for the leaders of the groups.
"Drake" his name was a sharp brisk bark "you, Nightmare and two of your choosing will move in head on ... Constantine," his name came out a bark too "You and Cacillie shall each take a side with a family member of your choosing." She paused for a long moment "Myself and Mista will come in form behind."
Shade stamped a hoof "we shall surround Ernsta, which should keep her from attacking any of us."
She flicked her tail back and forth, waiting quietly to see if any would object.
~~~
Mare stood silent as the boys entered, he could feel the ground trembling from their hooves. He was immobile a statue of living marble clad in shimmering deep azure steel. His mane was dancing against his thick neck, the only sign that he was actually a live being at the moment.
He listened to them, as they skidded to halts, at Drake's voice as he greeted Shade such as any member of the family should.
His head snapped up then as Shade began to speak, he had known before the others had that it was time. His long tail snapped back and forth in rhythm with Shade's words. He only nodded his head when Shade told him his role.
His ears flicked back and forth and he turned his head first towards Constantine then Drake "which one of you wants to go to Cacille and fill her in ..." he waited quietly for their answer.
Chikotae blinked as the mare's scent before him changed, drastically, and too quickly which left suspicious thoughts and worries toiling within his mind. What Cacille just did was wrong, but he didn't want to trigger the bottled up anger she held right now, it could be his end.
He would never survive an attack from the German mare before him, for he was much smaller and his muscle mass was tiny compared to the muscles he could feel when they laid together. Sighing softly at the nuzzle, he gently nipped her chin as she pulled back.
Stepping over the water with her, her wing falling over him, and he had to admit. He relied on her for his sight now, he could feel where he was going, but he also trusted her to guide him when they walked as such.
~~~
Stoic golden eyes turned to Shade as she began to speak, muscles tightening under the heavy cloak he wore around his body. Flicking his demonic tail viciously, he nodded and stepped forward.
"Since we will be attacking the sides together, I shall inform Cacille of the plan." He stated, voice hard as he fell into some sort of state, his neck arching suddenly and his body standing taller then normal. " I am also faster then Drake, proven many atimes."
Nodding at his brother and the rest of the family, he turned and bolted out with his muscles rolling and body moving with quick easy steps through the exit of the glade. For some reason, he made no thundering hoofbeats, he was in game now as he raced the wind and time.
~~~
Drake stood slowly after the acknowledgment, but would not stand any taller then Shade or Nightmare, with his neck hunched slightly and his body tense and rigid in a stand-still. His tail did not even move. Listening, he nodded in agreement.
This will do. He wondered briefly if other's were ready for the battle, but shoved the thought away. "Yes My lady." He muttered softly, nodding as Constatine took the job of getting the information to Cacille. He would have to get information to Allura some how after this meeting, she had to be there. He didn't care what his family thought on that point, Allura wanted to prove herself in Nightmare's and NightShade's eyes.
~~~
Mista watched the emotions flicker across her son's face, Constatine's look of pure ice sent shiver's down her spine. And Drake's look of pure determination to fight this battle, pride had swelled. But what worried her, was Shade.
She had noticed the mare stand with difficulty, her body moving mechanically to pull her up. She had wanted to rush onto the boulder and help the woman, but she knew Shade would push her away. She was a proud Mare.
Then she blinked, she would be in this?! But she knew she shouldn`t be surprised, it was her daughter they were dealing with. Sighing, she nodded in agreement, eyes flickering over to Mare. Then to the diappearing robes of her son.

Shade watched Constantine leave, she looked strong standing there muscles rolling underneath her coat. But Shade was proud, she would normally never show weakness ... and so if she was hurting they would never have known it until it was more than her body could take.
That moment came to soon as her legs suddenly buckled under her and she sunk down to the boulder. Never before had her age showed, until then, now she did look tired. Her breath was huffing as she panted and her nostrils flared over and over.
This was all to much for Shade, the loss of her son .. the need to attack and possibly kill her own granddaughter ... she didn't know how much more she could take.
After a moment she grunted and pushed herself once more to her hooves before any of them could even think to help her. Now was not the time to show weakness.
Turning Shade made her way off the boulder and looked between the three still gathered. "Come ... we'll return to the prairie." Turning with a sharp snap on her heels she headed towards the path Constantine had just disappeared down.
Without stopping she spoke directly to Drake once more "If you would like you may bring your mate to the valley .. but she won't be fighting in this, it's not her fight and she doesn't need to be harmed in it."
~~~
He jerked as Shade fell, but still forced himself to stand still as a statue, she would not appreciate his help even though she was obviously in so much bitter pain. His ears turned back as he watched her lay there in agony for what seemed like an eternity before she finally rose once more to her hooves.
When she moved away he waited till the others had moved then moved on so he was last in line.
He blinked quietly when she stated that Allura wouldn't be fighting, the tone she carried was loud and clear .. this was not the time to argue, no it was time to listen and obey.
He rustled his wings against his back and just followed silently.
~~~
She slowly sun to the ground then rested her neck over Chikotae's as he lowered to the ground too. She wasn't really tired, though she wished she was that way there was no chance that he could ask her about the feelings rushing through her at the moment.
Her mind drifted to her sister ... oh yes unknown to everybody else she'd had many face to faces with Ernsta since her training had started. Her sister had said things that seemed so true, how family members had betrayed the family and their proud blood, along with many other things. Still, some part of Cacille screamed that they were lies all bitter lies that Ernsta told to get her to join her side.
The brown mare let out a sigh, then her nostrils caught a familiar scent and she let out another sigh "Constantine is coming..." Tossing her head she slowly rose to her feet to meet her brother as he came into their clearing.

Chikotae lowered to the ground beside her, feeling the weight of her neck against his since he was much shorter then her. But that was not something he cared for, he liked being smaller then her, her strength and height was beautiful to him.
His sense remained focused upon the mare, his nostrils flaring as her scent changed with each emotion that ran through her body, and curiosity got the better of him. Gently, he shifted beside her and was about to ask a question when she stood and spoke of Constatine.
Blinking, he wondered what the stallion wanted and slowly rose as well, body still close to Cacille's, his nostrils flaring over her neck gently.
~~~
Moving quickly through the trees as he raced toward his sister, a scent twining with hers that was Chikotae's own. It was familliar, and yet not. He had not seen the small stallion for a long time, so his nose did not recognize the scent at first.
As he got closer, he dropped from his silent running to allow his thunderous hoofbeats to echo throughout the forest, his muscles twitching and vibrating, stretching and clenching upon his thick frame. Swiftly coming to the clearing, he leaped toward the couple, right over the small river and farther.
Slamming his hooves onto the ground, he stared down at his sister, not a trace of exhaustion in his movements, but adrenaline and excitement. Eyes were wide, and pupils danced viciously. Flaring his nostrils, he huffed.
"Grandfather and Grandmother sent me, dear sister." He murmured quickly, accent thick with his urges. "She spoke of battle plans against Ernsta, I must tell you. Will you hear me?" Ever the gentleman, he asked for her permission.
~~~
NighMista watched as Shade crumbled into a heap upon the boulder, or was it the ground? She couldn't place it, for fear ran through her body as the mare crumbled. Fear of loosing another.
She had lost her mate, her Knight, and her heart clenched painfully at the loos, tears staining her golden eyes and slowly falling from under her veil. She might loose her daughter, she did not care of the bad things at that moment. For all she knew, she was destroying her own blood.
What would Markus think? That thought pained her as she turned to follow behind Shade, knowing Drake was following her. But he seemed anxious, he wanted his mate most likely. And she did too.
~~~
Drake blinked and stood still, his demonic eyes following his grandmother's movements, hurting as she watched her crumbled. He flinched as he only saw half of her crumbled, the other was blackness.
At her words of Allura not joining the fight, to be honest, he was relieved. A weight lifted off of his shoulders, but what would he tell Allura? The woman he loved would be angry to know she had to stand down.
"My Lady, I shall return and let her know of her place within this battle." He grumbled out, anxious before he walked out of the line they started to form, blasting pass Shade, he hoped he did not disrespect her with his sudden leaving..
She narrowed her eyes slightly as Constantine spoke, her grandmother had made the plans already "have they then?" Her spaded tail flicked back and forth in agitation for a moment then she stilled it and waited for a moment "speak your news then brother, I'm no going anywhere for the time being."
She felt an icey-ness stir in her gut, an iceyness Ernsta had formed there, her words .. no lies ... no words ... oh she was so confused.
Cacille didn't know whom to believe, her sister whom seemed to speak so much truth .. or the rest of her family.
Although her mind was in turmoil Cacille's outer exterior was just as calm and stoic as it had been before the questions popped into her brain. She appeared to just be waiting, waiting for ehr brother's words passed down from ehr grandparents and waiting for their verdict on the upcoming battle.
~~~
(( -boots the silent Mare out for now and slips in Ernsta- >3 ))
Fools! Gold and black eyes narrowed to slits as a massive black and brown mare stood upon a ledge high above the valley the German's called home. Her long bright blue mane billowed against her thick neck as she watched the movements of her family far bellow her. She had seen Constantine and that cur Drake arrive .. now she could see Constantine go .. then Drake .. and not long behind him Shade, her mother, and mare emerged from Shade's forest home.
She knew what this meant, Shade was gathering her supporters .. but Shade was growing weak Ernsta could see it .. her head was held less high .. less proud. With every passing day she was growing weaker and weaker. None others could see it ..but Ernsta could ... Shade had stopped feeding, the occursed female was no longer feasting on the flesh and now her body was rebelling taking the substance it needed from itself.
She was only grieving for Markus, but Ernsta knew she could not become weak like Shade .. for if she did whom would cleanse their great family? None of the rest of the saps would .. they would just let their blood run off gallivanting with the weak of blood and body.
Her thoughts danced towards Cacille ... ah now there was an encouragement .. her young sister was coming along sooo well! She had watched her young sister come along from a small weak thing to the powerful being she was, and then she had planted her seeds of mistrust. She had carefully watched the seedling and helped it to grow till it's roots spread far and wide in her sister's brain.
But now .. now she had her own planning to do.
Slinking away form the edge she moved into the shadows of the cave a malicious smile on her face.
~~~
She never batted an eyelash as Drake flew past her, his comment went unanswered .. hell she hadn't really even heard it.
Her mind was long gone from the here and now, he was reliving memories really. Watching Markus grow up .. watching him find a mate fall in love .. their children .. her grandkids coming to see them. Cacille, Constantine, Drake, ... and Ernsta ... she had known form the beginning that Ernsta would be a trouble making the mare was so much enthralled with fighting but she never could have imagined this.
Her stomach growled silently, though she felt it churn. She was treading a dangerous line to self deprivation eating as little as she did she had to hold out a little longer, her and Mare could stave off in the middle of the night and hunt gorge themselves and be refreshed by morning's light. She just had to make it till nightfall.
Constatine snorted, lifting his snout up in a slight defiant manner, his demonic eyes watching his sister closely. Something was a miss, but his clouded mind could not place it. He was excited for the battle.
"dearest sister, we shall take a family member of our choosing, you and I." He began, stepping several times on the spot, excited. "You will come from one side, and I the other. Grandfather and others will take the front, Mother and Grandmother will take her from behind."
He pranced upon the spot, snorting and flicking his spaded tail awaiting her reaction.
~~~
Drake flew past his family, dashing through the veil and the valley that the Germans called home. As he blasted through the bushes, his wing shot open and sparkled as he moved to lift himself into the air.
As he soared over the earth, he surveyed the area until he found the pasture he had left Allura at. He gave out a loud roar, stretching his mouth, sharp fangs glinting while a very thick forked tongue left his mouth.

She listened quietly fighting the urge to snarl at her brother for his excitement, he seemed to eager to kill his own own sister, she was just looking out for what was best for the family right? No! ... yes ... no... yes. Her mind was a whirlwind of confusion again and she frowned grinding her fangs against each other
She tried hard to settle her raging heart as her mind whirled around and around like a tornado bent on the destruction of her sanity.
She started to grind her teeth again, all Ernsta was trying to do was keep the lines strong and keep weak blood out ... weak blood like Drake had plagued them with.
The small mare stood up suddenly tossing her mane.
her ears pinned to the back of her head and seemed to melt right into the flesh. She was shuddering from head to hoof and it made her armor jingly ominously.
Her usually beautiful voice came out hard, cold, and, growling. it was twisted and corrupted like she was a shell of it's former self the truth hiding deep beneath the lies.
"I. Will. Not. Fight. With. You." each words was accented and the snap of her tail accented it more.
She stepped once towards her brother a hideous growl gurgling deep from within her gut.
"NOW GET OUT!!"
The roar that followed her screeched words echoed across the land for miles sending animals scattering from their hidey holes.
She dove at her brother fangs flashing ready to tear into his flesh if he didn't move away quick enough.
~~~
Ernsta's head jerked up with the sudden roar and a high pitched cackle escaped her "and so it begins!" She reared onto her hind hooves for a moment then took off full gallop to circle around the family home from a direction that the family would never expect her to appear and maybe give the the advantage of surprise.
