Jack listened to Zaria's explanation for the orbs and knew she was trying to loose him... she did, but he didn't show it "ahh okay I got ya, thats pretty awesome.
Jack looked at the dragon and smiled, "Cain it is then" he said lifting his hand to scratch the dragon a little, while he was scratching it Kazan walked up and begun to bore his eyes into the back of Jack's head. Jack spun around and looked at the being, "is there something on me?" if you wanna know who I am, then ask, the back of my head doesnt have a "hello my name is Jack" lable you know...

((Yeah but Aergan is STILL taller he's like, what, 12 feet tall. Don't worry about it (the warmongering)... I actually kinda had a feeling this was coming, adds a little spice to the chaos of the arena.))
Tamnir folded his arms across his chest lacking the common sense to be afraid of Akume in any way shape or form. His mom was a tough cookie and made damn sure he was no pansy. "If anything I was paying your mother, who I'm sure is very lovely, a complement by saying that all the good genes came from her. And I can ignore any damn inquiry I want!" He stiffened slightly when his mom shot him a warning. He hated having her voice ring in his head, but he was glad she'd chosen not to say it out loud. Fine if she won't help me then I'll just have to hold my own.
((Yes Tamnir can be a cocky brat, but hey his hormones are raging and he's got that 'I must prove myself' thing going on.))

((Haha. Akume doesn't like teenagers, mostly because they're cocky like that. And they're touchy about Aergan's wife. They're just odd like that.))
Akume sneered a bit and folded his arms. "Of COURSE a cocky teenage brat gets sent here." He then did a faux-180 in his temperament. He waved Tamnir off in an offhand manner. "Bah, I suppose that he isn't really knowledgeable about these sorts of things. After all, he is just a child."
Kazan cocked his head slightly at Jack's unease. He diverted his gaze to the tension between Tamnir and Akume, and focused his stare on Tamnir.

((Holy crap, you all chatter worse than a bunch of old church ladies at tea time. *rubs temples*))
Kai was finally able to regain her composure just as Rem asked her who Rick was and Aergan burst into a kittyish laugheter. She glared at both of them and Zaira. She was already plotting against Zaira and Aergan for stealing her pride.
"This is Rick. He's Amos's son apparently." She shot a final glare at Aergan and Zaira. "And for Christ's sake he isn't my son!"
At that, she grabbed Rick by the back of the collar and began dragging him roughly to an open area. As she stormed away, she thwacked Kazan in the back of the head for being a creepy git.
"We need to start your training if you want to survive." she grumbled at Rick.

((XD nice smack Kai. For some reason I imagined Kazan looking like L from Deathnote when he stares.))
Zaira put her hands up in front of her in surrender as Kai gave her a death glare then watched as she dragged the kid off.
Waiting till she thought Kai was out of earshot she said jokingly to the open "For it not being her kid she sure is hogging him".

((My two cents: We are not as bad as old church ladies, we're not complaining about artheritus, children, or the state of the world.))
Rem nodded when Kai snapped her answer. "So that's why he looks familiar!" She announced quietly.
Tamnir's aura flared at getting called a brat, and then rose even higher at being called a child. Little orange sparks grit through the air and a sound like a chain being spun at an incredible speed could be heard for about 20 seconds. The rings around his irises shifted between colors then went back to black. With a sudden WOOSH Tamnir dropped his aura and groaned putting both his hands over his temples and digging his fingers into his hair. "Gah!" He let his arms slump at his side and grimaced. "Yeah you're right I am just a kid. 15 when compared to like... a million is nothing. Sorry for my inexperienced jabber." Tamnir grit his teeth and made to walk away.

Akume stared at him for a second, feeling slightly bad for purposefully inciting his anger. He took a half a pace foreward. "Hey, you alright, man?" He hoped that he hadn't caused him to overload himself, or something.

Jack looked at Kazan as he turned around, a little confused then looked at Zaria "what the heck was that????" he turned to see Tamnir walking off, he heard the whole conversation but didnt jump in, he didnt want to be killed by Kai after being in the arena for only 15 minutes. "hey Zaria I'll be right back." he ran over to Tamnir whom was walking off put his arm around him and spun him around towards the others. "he guy, where you goin', I thought you were all sorts of excited about meeting all your favorite charaters from your stories, and you dont want to stay. "If I was your age and saw my favorite people for the first time, I'd be having a blast. When I came to the arena for the first time I was 16, so I have a fairly good idea what its like for ya, Im Jack by the way" Jack finished off with a smile

Tamnir opened his mouth to respond to Akume but was suddenly accosted by an arm about his shoulders. He couldn't stop his eyes from bugging out from the shock of suddenly being embraced in such a friendly manner by a male. He blinked as Jack tried to encourage him. A smile tugged at his lips as the guy smiled down at him. "Nice to meet you, Jack." Tamnir managed. He turned his attention back to Akume. "Yes I'm fine, I'm still learning and some times..." He sighed a little. "control is harder than I'd like to admit." That and he'd fight back hell itself to keep from having to repeat what happened not long after he turned 13. His mother's reaction was, well, not something he ever wanted to see again.
Rem followed quietly as Kai dragged Rick about. "Ummm... maybe Tamnir and Rick could 'play' together." She said in passing, glancing out the corner of her left eye at her long time friend.

Kai stopped in her tracks and narrowed her eyes at her friend's gaze. She had a feeling Rem was up to something, and that could mean two things: one, she should fear for her life. Two, she wouldn't want to miss whatever was going to happen for the world.
"..........alright." she pushed Rick towards Tamnir. She noticed Tamnir's instability and was really cautious on letting Rick deal with that so soon, but she would keep a close eye. "Have at'em, kiddo. Keep on your toes."
She then turned back to Rem with one inquisitive eyebrow raised.
((Gomen, Kio-kun. But you still get your fight. heart ))

Tamnir narrowed his eyes at Rem for a moment. What was she thinking? What he wouldn't give just to have a glimpse into his mother's scatter brain thought process. He still hadn't gotten used to the concept of beating the crap out of your allies. Sure people told him that it was to become stronger, but there were more than enough enemies to be wailing on, you didn't need to turn your friends and acquaintances into punching bags. With a resigned shrug he slipped out from under Jack's arm and walked into the middle of the arena.
"Don't be so tense Tamnir, there are more than enough people ready to fix what gets broke." Rem sighed contentedly. "Hey Kai, do you think our lives would've been better if we'd met when we were their age?" She asked out of the blue.
((ALSO, Tamnir is NOT unstable people, inexperienced and still learning, yes, but not unstable. He cut off all his energy ON PURPOSE. You know when you just get soooo pissed off that you just decide you don't give a damn anymore, and suddenly you're not angry but apathetic. Well he's Rem's son so... he's bound to be a little more... extreme.))

Jack saw what was about to happen and let go of Tamnir real quick, he didnt feel like getting caught in a fight, he walked backwads toward Zaria and whipered, "I think this is about to get good" and he scratched Cain as he was still floating around in the air

Cain rested on Jacks head and curled up comfortably as he got a nice scratch "Yep, this ought to be interesting" Zaira chimed in "Being down in that dungeon for three years, some excitement like this will be nice. Even I would like to stretch my muscles." She walked over to the wall and plopped down on the hard arena floor, leaning back she rested her elbows on her knees and looked on
