A tear rolled down Maddy's cheek, the boy sounded just like her brother. She swollowed hard and took a step back. She tripped backwards, landing on her back she saw up the boy's hood. Her smile brightend. "Oh my, I love your contacts!" Maddy got up and blushed a light pink. "Sorry..." She whisperd, refering mainly to his hand. "I, bad expreicens with boy's and my wrists.." She added causally as she pulled up her sleves. Why she was showing him the burises, she wasn't quite sure. She shrugged lightly and pulled them back down. "I'm Madeline, er Maddy. But i highly doubt your going to tell me your nae, your a very close minded person." Maddy extended her hand, she didn't expect much human interaction from the strange boy but she deicded agains't her will. Maybe he was diffrent in a way that he shook hands and did stupid things and didn't try to act like a, well regular teenage boy.

Lucifer stood under a street lamp and looked around he only saw a couple seemingly having a conversation next to a home just with in his sight. It was too dark to see what the people looked like, But he ignored them thinking that they might have an intimate relationship as most humans seemed to have. He started to walk down the street wanting to find a more lively part of the city even though most everyone was in their homes at this hour. He walked a few streets and found a Connor store.
It was still open and he pushed the wire and glass door unleashing a breeze of cool air conditioned air into the dry street. The man at the counter greeted him with a nod and He nodded back before walking threw the few rows of merchandise and selected a few items. He brought them up to the counter, and placed them gently on the polished wood. He smiled and said. "My I also please have one pack of menthol cigarettes?" His voice was light and a tad to happy. The man reached behind him with out turning his back and set the small box on the counter and rung up his purchases. Lu handed over his money and walked from the store items already in his pockets.
He found a small park across the street and an empty bench under a lamppost seemed to call to him. He took a seat and opened the cigarettes. They were dry and long, he put one in his mouth and dug in his pocket for a lighter. It took him a while to find it and even longer to figure out how to use a lighter. Once the cig was burning he took a breath. The sensation was horrible her coughed and squinted his eyes tight trying to regain his ability to breath.

Kevin sighed as the boy walked around the corner, eventually he would try to catch up with him again. This stupid girl, this Maddeline, was stopping him from talking to the snake that now hugged his chest. Stopping him from asking it to follow the boy. Alarmed as she talked bout his... 'contacts' he replied simply. "Yes, I am quite fond of them too." Not paying very much attention to her bruises, he had forgotten how frail these humans thought themselves to be. She was correct, he was not going to tell anyone his name, despite how common the name 'Kevin' was in their world. Reaching out and grabbing her hand lightly, he shook it with the smallest of grins. As suddenly as he had grabbed it, Kevin released her hand and drew his back to the side of his body, the sooner this Maddy girl got scared and left, the sooner he... or his snake, could follow his prey...

Maddy's eye's looked dull. But widend slihgtly at his cold touch. "Your skins cold.." She whisperd. He was so much like her brother it was ripping her apart. Tears started to stream down her face, she began to sprint, running away from him. It was just to much, she couldn't bare it any longer. It was seriously killing her. She quietly ran into the grave yard and knelt by his grave. "I saw a boy just like you today brother..He wasn't as open minded as you. He was strange but he was somewhat nice. A bit agressive. I miss you, he just made me relize how much more.."

Kevin was slightly perplexed as she ran away... There was something about this girl, he was sure about it. Whipering to his snake, he decided to split apart for a short period of time. Out of the jacket now... He said as he opoened it up a little bit so the snake could slither out. Go find the girl... Find out what is so strange about her... The snake slithered away and left Kevin with a satisfied smile. It was his turn to do something important. Creeping around the corner, Kevin found the Hidden boy much closer than he had expected. The boy was sitting in park just across the street... coughing. "What's wrong with him?" Kevin asked himslef. "Maybe I won't have to kill him after all..." He whispered wryly, still staring at the boy.
Meanwhile, the snake slithered across the graveyard, it had been quite easy to keep up with the girl. Appeased with its ability to listen to its new friend the snake moved closer than was probably intelligent...

Maddy noticed the snake from the cornor of her eye but made nothing of it. Tears steamed down her face and her sobbing came out agonized. She burried her face in her hands as she contuined to cry. Sitting on the dirt she started to write. 'You said I was a dreamer, but I'm not the only one, I only wish you had joined us, before you life was done..' She always wrote it, and everytime it got erased she wrote it once more. Looking at the snake she whisperd. "Why are you here, why don't you go back to your owner.."

The snake couldn't understand Maddy. Ignoring her words, it assumed that she was talking to herself as it slithered closer, then farther away, then closer, then farther away...
Kevin sighed as he realized the boy wasn't doing anything interesting right now, and there were to many witnesses to attempt at a kidnapping or an attack. Turning away from the corner, he walked in the direction the girl had went, searching for the snake. Come here darling, we're going to rest now.... come here. Kevin heard the snake answering and headed into the graveyard, seeing Maddy again. Walking over to the snake, he picked it up and apologized to the girl for letting his snake get so close. "I'm sorry, I should've kept a better watch on him..." Frowning slightly even though he knew that he had been to far away for her to have heard his snake-speak... but she must be getting suspicious of something by now, he had seen her twice in the same night.
The snake sighed... or at least did a snake's version of a sigh, a low hiss, as it crawled into Kevin's sleeve agin. Relaxing now, the snake closed its inner lid and was almost asleep in the warmth of its new friend's sweater.

Maddy took her hands from her face and looked up at him. She shiverd slightly and closed her eye's trying to keep the tears inside, but as her eye lids slowly closed the tears spilled out. She just nodded. "It's..." She sobbed."Okay..." She said through clentched teeth. She didn't like saying 'it's okay.' It was almost like saying she'd be okay, altough she knew she wouldn't be. She stood slowly and whiped her face. Her puffy rimmed black eye's stared at him. "I...was...just leaving.." She slowly clamed herself. "Anyway's. I think your snake wouldn't have enjoyed me takign him to you...I'm glad you came, for your snakes sake.." She said flatly as she walked slowly past him.

Kevin sighed, normal humans were always so exuberant... He needed to ignore her, needed to go back to the hotel so he could rest up for tomorrow. He decided he would ask her, it was considered polite, and what harm could one question do. "Are you ok?" He asked quietly as the snake coiled around his arm more tightly, the animal didn't like that he was talking to her. It felt uncomfortable around humans, they attacked snakes frequently. Resting his hand on the cool granite that was the gravestone she had been sitting in front of earlier, he waited for a response.

Maddy rolled her eye;s and slowly turned around, a dark expression clouded her face. "No..." She hissed lowly. "But you don't honestly care, not liek you valuee my feelings.." Her tone was icy and her eye's slowly changed colors into a light blue. She glared at his hand and walked seiftly over. "Please remove your hand from my brothers grave..." Her tone was hard, emotionless, yet filled with so much pain and aingst.

Kevin sighed and removed his hand. He had had enough of this girl, she was strange maybe insane. "Your assumption is correct." He said as he spun on his heel, he had noticed the tone in her voice and wondered... And her eyes... Kevin was going to keep tabs on this human... He would find another snake to follow her. Walking out of the graveyard, he sighed and tossed one more glance at the girl before leaving with a flourish. Walking down the narrow lane, he bagan to get nervous for an odd reason. There was so much to be done before his... and the other Hidden's secret was revealed.

"That's what I thought..." she whisperd lightly.."Just liek everyone else in one way, you don't care.." She sighed deeply. He wasn't so much diffrent after all, but his eye's she wasn't to sure about them. She touched the grave stone lightly. She then slowly made her way out, after the, the boy. She looked at her shoes as she walked past him. [[writers block..]]

In frustration Lucifer threw down is barely smoked cigarette and rubbed his eyes. It was so post to be a luxury to smoke but he found it painful and revolting. The night started to seep into his mind and he became quite tired. He yawned loudly and laid out on his bench. He cradled his head in one hand and fell into a light sleep.
He dreamt of a pit of snakes hissing and cursing at him and he fell into it only to look up and see a pair of golden eyes staring down at him threw the dark of nothingness. ' the shadows will take you' he heard and the dream was over.

Maddy walked into the park, the boy that the otherboy had asked her about was laying curled up on a bench. He looked cold or fightend. She didn't know wich. She slowly aproched him, although he wouldn't noticed she pulled of her jacket and placed it gently over the boy. Smiling slightly she felt his cheek with the back of her fingers. He looked scary more or less to her now. She took a step back and continued her stroll through the park. She looked to the sky and admired the moon. Sighign contently she sat down on a near by swing. The squeeks were just backround noise. Faintly herd, yet normally made. It reminded her of a moived. In the depths of the night, the darkness yet the light, the ilumination from the moon and stars. There were sounds of empty swings swinging back and forth, back and forth. Just like a moive and she was the next victum, the next oen to get hurt in some way, shape, or form.

Kevin almost yelled out as the girl brushed his arm walking by. Seeing her face, he knew that he had made her angry and he sighed. Humans were not making his job any easier. Now that the 'Maddy' girl was out of sight, Kevin was free to speak to the snake that was entangled around his shoulder and upper arm. You can come out now... It is safe. He hissed. As the snake came out of the sleeve, he touched the back of the snakes head and it hissed in contentment. Kevin was growing quite fond of this specific beast, usually snakes were a one time thing for him... He was going to try to keep this same one for a while though, maybe for its entire lifespan. Did the girl scare you? I did not mean to place you in harms way, Darling. He sighed again as the snake crept up his body and rested over his shoulders, it seemed like he was forgiven. And surely it was dark enough now that no one would notice his new pet from a distance, he wasn't going to try to talk to anyone other than the boy he was supposed to capture, if he got that close tonight.
Walking on to a larger road, he saw the park again, the boy was still on the bench. Now however, he was not alone in the park, someone was in the playground portion of the large square.
