"I see. I found this stone, if you want it..." He flipped the stone out of one of his whiskers, being careful not to flip it hard enough to hit the boy.

"oh! Oh!" he lifts it to the light. "oh!" he cries excited, jumping. his hooves slip and he tumbles towards the water, soaking his face, and dropping the stone into the water. "oh no!"

Bren frowned and nudged him back out of the water. "I'll find it again, don't worry." He dove down and found the stone again, picking it up with a whisker and bringing it back to the boy. "There you go."
