She walked back up to her room only half hoping that he would follow her, but knowing he wouldn't. He hated her...wanted her dead most likely, but somehow that made it all the better. His eyes held this raw fury that was the most beautiful thing she had ever seen. How had he known what she was? That bothered her a little, but she wanted him too much to care. She curled up into her bed for the night. Even up on the fourth floor, she could smell him. He was waiting for her outside. She fell asleep smiling.

"Your book will be safe in here," Curtis assured her. "You may return to retrieve it at any time." He wasn't bold enough to take her hand, but he did usher her towards the door and out of it, locking it safely behind him. An awkward thought occurred to him as he recalled that his company was female and jittery. He cleared his throat.
"I... prefer to store my clothing somewhere when I transform," he told her. "We could undress in the restrooms, transform there, and then bring our clothing to my office for safe-keeping," he offered.
***
"Hey. Hey, kid!"
Something was nudging him. Connor grunted irritably and whipped the blade from his boot without thinking. There was a familiar "clicking" sound and his head shot up only for a flashlight to blind him.
A cop was standing over him. Great. Connor dropped the blade and the gun and light lowered.
"Why are you sleeping here? Don't you have a room?"
Connor swore. He'd fallen asleep. He stood, raising his hands above his head.
"The mayor hired me. I'm a hunter," he grunted. "My ID is in my back pocket."
The cop nodded and stepped around him, still tense. He pushed the long, black coat aside and reached into the back pocket of Connor's black jeans. A few seconds passed before the wallet was replaced.
"Carry on, Mr. Riley. Just... be careful."
"Aye. G'night, Officer."
As the cop walked off, Connor glared up at the window where, according to his reckoning, the wolf was. With a sneer, he stomped back into the building. She was doing this on purpose.
By the time he'd re-entered the building he was moving in full stealth. He hardly made a sound as he ascended the stairs and reached the fourth floor. He crept to her door, dagger at ready. He pressed against it, listening. Deep breathing. She was asleep rather than out roaming. He tried the door. Not locked. Now he grinned and swung the door open, holding the knob so that it didn't slam against the wall and wake anyone. He shut it again, and leaped at the bed, dagger raised.

Kat was enjoying being near him and started thinking about what the professor really looked like when he spoke. She felt slightly awkward and just nodded, heading straight to the bathroom. She was off in her own lala land and she almost entered the mens bathroom. SHe huriedly dogded into the girls and checked to make sure it was empty before she started to undress.

Luka smiled as she heard her door open, she was a rediculously light sleeper and all of the stealth in the world could not mask the scent of the fury that had just entered her room. Her heart skipped a beat when she saw the flash of silver. Then he was on top of her. "So, you decided to come afterall." She reached up and grabbed the hand holding the dagger. "I thought as much. Well, I suppose there's not much I can do to stop you in this position." She pulled his hand toward her chest until the dagger was just over her heart. The tip pierced her skin just enough to cause a bead of blood to appear. "You, however.....have a couple of choices." She look up into his eyes, still holding his hand and the dagger in her hands. At that moment she decided he was going to be hers forever....and that she should probably learn his name.

"Kill you now or wait for you to offer a dying prayer first?" he asked, "Because as far as I'm concerned, wolf, those are the only two options I'm willing to look at."
Despite his victory, Connor scowled. Why wasn't she fighting? He'd killed several of her type, and they'd never just simply taken it. Was he having seconds thoughts because he wanted to fight fare? Connor swore.
"Say your prayers, Wolf. And then I will send you to whatever god you choose."
But, as strong as those words were, he couldn't help being unnerved. Why wouldn't she fight? Why was she encouraging him?!
***
He was finished before her, but that didn't surprise him. Curtis was older, and had more experience with "quick changes". He waited in his office, keeping low in case a random human happened to pass by. They would not likely react well to a large, white werewolf wandering around the building.
What would her form look like? He knew she had brown fur, as was made evident by her ears or tail but...

She sighed and winced. The silver had hit her blood and she was feeling the pain. "How on earth are you going to make sure I get to God. I highly doubt that you and he are on direct speaking terms." This sentance came out a lttle haggard and she pushed up just enough to get the dagger out of her skin. "God your eyes are beautiful when you're murderous."

Kat had a little trouble transforming, she couldn't focus at all on a full transformation, she was a little preoccupied with what had happened earlier. She finally forced herself to turn and very quickly made it down the hall to his office. She opened the door and slipped in. Her fur was deep brown with almost golden highlights along her back and on her chest. She was smaller than the normal weres. She looked at him and just stared. He was beautiful.

When she entered, Curtis held his breath. She was nicely sculpted, though small. Her fur was darker than he had imagined, and the highlights were unique and beautiful. And her eyes... he'd never seen eyes such a deep, rich brown that they were nearly black. All-in-all, she was a lovely thing. No doubt her coat allowed her to blend well into her forest surroundings in this area. Far more convenient than his snowy white fur.

"D-don't try to get yer sorry a** out of this by flirting!" Connor snapped. She was moving the dagger, and of course her grip was strong. Her gaze was piercing and he knew that to look away from a wolf's eyes was to submit to them. To admit their superiority. His heart-rate was increasing, his palms sweating. He struggled against her hold on his wrist.

Kat put her clothes down near his desk and then moved over closer to him. She still had to look up at him to see his face. She looked at him questionably, she wasn't sure what to do next, she was waiting for him.

"Babe, I got myself into this by flirting. Its what I do. Besides, I can't help it with you on top of me like this. And I'm not gonna lie, the dagger aimed at my chest is a bit of a turn on." She smiled at him. Even if he did end up killing her, at least she would die happy. Wait a second. This wasn't what she had intended. She went down to the stairwell just to scare him a little, just to let him know that she was aware him. Why the hell did he have to be so damn hot?! She started to cry. "You b*****d," she squeezed out through the tears. She took her hands off of his and gave his shoulders a huge shove.

Curtis grew tense under her gaze, but not in a way that made him uncomfortable.
"The moon is beautiful tonight," he commented, though he didn't avert his gaze. He wasn't ready to submit to her, or certain that he ever would. But at least he'd found another. He'd yet to meet another German, but another wolf at least... that was something.
"We'll go out the back of the building. The forest starts not far from the fence."
***
One second his prey was crying and the next he was sailing off the end of the bed, hitting the brick wall hard. He grunted and fell to his hands and knees on the floor. Somehow he hadn't lost hold of the dagger. He gripped it and looked up.
"That's more like it, beastie," he grunted as he stood stiffly. "I would have been disappointed to earn my first paycheck so easily."

Kat didn't want to look away too soon, she couldn't have him think of her as too weak. So she smiled and only after a few seconds more she looked at the ground. "Sounds like a plan."
She headed quickly out the door checking to make sure there were not any other students about leaving the professor behind. She made it stealthly out of the building pretty easy and waited right out the door in the shadow of a large tree.

"Oh, you'd like that wouldn't you," she almost screamed, but was aware of the people sleeping in the surrounding rooms. "You would just love me to change and leap for your throat so you can stab that knife right through my chest. My days as a naval comander may be over, but I still know a few things about tactics my friend." She calmed down a little and stood to face him. She glared at him. It was a glare that had crumble more than a few ensigns, and even one well seasoned captain. This man, however, did not seem phased at all. She softened for him a little, smiled, and crossed her arms over her chest. "So...do you happen to have a name?"

Curtis breathed deeply once he stepped into the evening air. It was cool, but not cold. Comfortable. Crickets were singing to the moon, and he intended to join them as soon as he was able. He stalked smoothly over to where Miss Burnell was waiting.
"Come," he murmured as he looked into the trees beyond. "The forest is waiting." And then he was running, free.
***
"Are you bloody daft?" Connor wanted to know. "Are you on the rag or something? Because you're not making any bloody sense." First she was flirting, then crying, then ready to kill him, and most recently she was exchanging pleasantries and asking his name.
He was standing up fully now, looking her over and searching for a weak point. Some place or way for him to end this.

She plucked herself down on her bed and began to giggle. It took a while for her to get control of herself. "Careful, you'll wake up my RA with all of this noise and then I would get in trouble. So, let me recap. You followed me, I wanted to give you a bit of scare, but then discovered that you were freakin' hot, you leaped into my bed and tried to kill me, and I got all emotionally confused. Am I leaving anything out.....oh yes. I'm Luka, former Naval comander, you'll forgive me if I don't tell you where I comanded. I kind of had to fake my own death and restart life before someone noticed I wasn't aging." She extended her hand in a traditional initiating a handshake sort of manner.
