He's more precious than silver and gold
and God will take his innocent soul
I hope he says I love you once more
before he walks through heaven's door
And I hope before he passes away
he'll hold me and say, I love you always
For when he leaves
I will cry for eternity
You know I'll miss him
more than any person could
and if I could take his place in death

For I don't know what to do with his body
to bury or burnto flakey ashes
I am to afaird to ask such a question
His funeral will be the worst time in my life
For then I'll keep aholdof his favorite pocket knife
I'll never forget the question he asked
about me putting my baby blanket in his coffin
For I said no, I'll keep it in memory of you
So long and take care
and hopefully he'll be happy there
I'll join him someday
So I can here him say, I love you always
I'll never see him smile
or hear him laugh
and all of those other good memories
will be locked in the past
I'll miss his touch
but mostly his voice
To decide when he dies
it's really not my choice
I hope he doesn't suffer
or go through much pain
And I'll never wash his image down the drain
I prayed to God
for 70 more years
but all I think I'm going to get
is 70 more hundred tears
But hopefully in my sleep
when I dream about sad and horrible days
he'll hold my shoulders and say
