His anger was getting the better of him, and the glare he gave to Mandy was hard, his shoulders tensing, eyebrows furrowing. "I'm fifteen, and I'm a whole lot ******** more then you'll ever amount to be." He was losing himself to this anger, so much that he could feel the subtle changes in the air surrounding him, as if gravity was pushing down heavier upon his surroundings, though he himself did not feel it. It was a curious thing, and he found that the more he let himself go, the heavier the air was around him. He eyed Mandy consideringly, and tried focusing that pressure on her, seeing if her legs would shake from the effort of holding herself up against the increased gravity. While he couldn't necessarily beat her in words, one thing was clear, he was still stronger than her. He didn't know how, really, or why, but he felt it.
A feeling of vague authority radiated off of him, and it had nothing to do with his posture, or the set of his shoulders, the line of his brows. It was just there, as if it naturally belonged there. He was Pride, and he did not want to deal with Mandy. He in fact wanted her gone, but he didn't think that would sit well with Martel, or the Legion, or whomever she was. His lip curled in distaste, but he refused to back down, refused to let his gaze waver from Mandy's face. His arm wrapped itself around Neil's waist, as if he could somehow shield the older man from the truth, that Soah really was a Sin, that he was Superbia.
(( <3 I got the okay to use some of his powers from Zige, which the two that he used in here are that he gives off the aura of authority, and that he can increase gravity/pressure in the air. ))

Than she would ever amount to be? She had transcended humanity into a supernatural terror, to battle the powerful like herself and crush the common under her boot, before this boy had gotten his first pubic hair. And now she had grown even more. Mandy could feel it behind her eyes, scratching and whispering, waiting to be unleashed.
Her arrogant smile grew moot as a weight began to press against her, pressing against her skin, her eyes, her defiance. He was a strong snot, but a snot nonetheless. Mandy--no, Avarita, did not grovel nor bow to kin.
And there it was. It was like a snap, a click in her ego and sin began to override her mind, pilfering Superbia's energy with an avarice hand. She wanted all of him and she would have what she wanted. The heavy air gradually waned as it fondled for his power. But there was only so much her physical body could take and her insides roiled with nausea. This stolen power crowded her body, pressing on her brain until she cried out.
The umbilical cord was cut and she fell back and back, feeling fur tear through her hands and the hard bruising stairs beat her body as it tumbled down like a rag doll.

Something was very, very wrong.
Neil could only stare at Soah. The cursing, the words, hell, his whole attitude was different somehow, almost alien. Even as the teen's arms encircled him, he felt aghast. There was no denying that his blonde angel was indeed Superbia, but this...even Akedia himself had not dared delve into what was given to him. He didn't want it, didn't want to use any part of it in hopes it would just go away. But this? This was the scared teenage youth he'd met through an Incubus, this was the boy who was so uncertain and naive?
Not anymore, it seemed.
"Soyah?" he croaked under the tingling pressure he could feel, not as heavily as the woman obviously could, but it crackled over his skin. Before he could say more, she was gone, the sound of flesh slamming against wooden stairs lingering heavily in his ears. Neil gave a short shout of surprise, looking as if he'd go after her, but his arms tightened around Soah and he did not move. There was still a demon in his path, and certainly not one he was willing to leave his lover with.
"What...th'ell was that, Soyah?" he whispered through numb lips at the blonde, his grey eyes wide with disbelief.

He watched her fall, watched her body tumble helplessly down the stairs, and for a long while he didn't care. He seethed with hate for her, and even as she fell he did not let that pressure relent. She had to know that he was the strongest, and that she was nothing compared to him. He wouldn't tolerate her speaking poorly of him, let alone of Neil. No, his lover's reputation had to go untarnished. His name could not be smudged or ruined. Soah would not have it.
As she settled at the base of the stairs, though, that anger seeped out of him, leaving him almost dazed by what had just happened. He stumbled back against Neil, eyes wide in horror at the realization that he had just hurt someone. She may have deserved it, but he had never thought himself capable of it. "N-Neil..." a distressed note entered his voice, and he realized then that he really wanted to get out of here. He had hardly come to terms with becoming a Sin, let alone using any sort of power that accompanied the position. Oh, and he knew he had used it, and with the intention to use it... and it scared him.
He turned his body in against Neil's chest, indigo eyes staring at the obstruction in his path. "I would l-like to ask you again if you would move..." He didn't look to Mandy. He wouldn't face the horror of what he had caused.

Without even looking behind her, Lamia reached out with her nails and barely snagged the back of Mandy's shirt. Some harm would inevitably be done but it would not be as grievous as otherwise; and of course no one could expect her to have predicted such a surfacing of power from such a woman. Whipping her sightless face back towards Soah, she snarled ferally. "Thou art a poor choice," she said in a ravaged whisper. "Thou hast no restraint."
Nevertheless, her tail curled up so there was just barely enough room for Soah and Neil to pass her. To do so, they'd have to brush up against her, but it was space and they'd have to make do. She wasn't moving.

As the Prince stopped both Claire and Ifrit they couldn't help but watch in silent awe and shock at what had just taken place. Both silently agreed they would have to watch out for the boy, he was one neither of them wanted to be tangling with when pissed off. The two stayed just behind the arm of Astaroth, each one moving to better avoid sight.
Claire shunted off to the side, pressing against the wall with her left and again folding her arms under her chest. As the power from Soah increased she flinched. It felt like a weight were squeezing her, even though the attack was not directed at her. As soon as Mandy fell she tried to block out the sickening body-meeting-stairs sound. She met no such luck in her tries.
Ifrit on the other hand, remained where he was though he changed his size to a shorter height than before. Roughly five-nine now. His eyes darted from form to form and he was mildly taken aback at the cursing from the male-child and then the power he possessed. Ifrit inspected his arms as the pressure rose. His own flames were being dimmed and snuffed out. Soah...Superbia...This kid was going to be a handful when pissed. Better to not make him so.
As Lamia caught the fallen woman and moved aside after saying a few choice words Claire wondered how to proceed. Where to go and what to do when she got there. She eyed her scowling demon as he flicked his attention back between the group before him. Going home would be something he would agree with, she was sure. But they would probably have to pass by Lamia and judging by the space she gave, both would have to touch her to get by. The dark haired woman shuddered silently at the thought.

Grim snarled as Mandy grabbed for him, tearing a fistful of hair with her as she plummeted. What room Lamia had left for the two sins, the large bear of a dog filled it as he bristled. His bloody red eyes glowed like burning pyers. His black teeth were bared and his growl beat like a deep drum as he foamed rabidly. He began to stalk for Soah, leaving the Lamia to herself. "You will not touch her again, boy... Fetch another. Fetch the Prime Minister, anyone more capable than the lot of you..."

Neil exhaled softly as the demon caught the top-heavy woman, his gaze briefly one of gratefulness before returning to the impassive neutral blankness. He held Soah tightly for a moment, murmuring soft reassurance over the teen's golden hair, "It's all right lad, ye are coming in t'ye own, shhh." Grey eyes shifted side long as the snake-demon coiled with just enough room to squeeze by - did that mean she'd let them pass?
The Irishman had about his fill of the madhouse, and did not care. He decided he'd take his chances with the demon, as he'd expect her to run him through and could accept it better than his fellow humans (if they had any humanity left). Carefully extracting the teen from his embrace, he took Soah's good hand and slowly lead him toward the stairs. "I'm just taking 'im 'ome," he told the female demon under his breath, "I've no quarrel with any of ye."
Astaroth glanced to the two next to her, dropping her arm and giving a slight nod. Superbia was calm now, it would be safe to advance. The Prince came up shortly behind the blonde Sin, looking over Lamia quietly before her gaze rested on the bristling visage of Grim. How funny, that demons became so attached to these humans. She supposed that was why they were lesser and unworthy of names, to suffer such weakness. Her only vestment in her own human was his survival; harm was of no consequence.
"You will not touch Superbia," the Prince replied breezily, "unless you are foolish enough to cross the Prime Minister and Her. If so, even the Void will not have you." Was that amusement lilting her voice? Truly, even she did not question their motives; they were above her and thus not a thing to be trifled with. If this one Nameless wanted to fight them and their decision... An ugly smile darkened her face. She had already crossed that line and had waltzed with Lucifuge. While the battle had been delicious, she would not anticipate any of the gathered demons to survive the blow that had broken her own body.
Holding Soah to his side, closest to the rail and thus away from Grim, Neil was quick to approach Lamia. Snake-woman or big dog? One he was certain would listen, and it wasn't the one with fur. The teen was thrust in front of him to descend the stairs first, making sure that he himself stood between the angry rabid dog and the young man, stepping off the threshold to brush against Lamia without a second thought.

He stumbled back a step, as if he could get away from the sight of the bristling dog-like demon. His eyes were wide with fear, his equilibrium having been thoroughly unsettled by his little display of power, and even the sight of Lamia angry was enough to unnerve him. Soah pressed subtly closer to Neil, unable to take his eyes off of Grim for fear that the demon would strike the moment he let his guard down. Quite reasonably, Soah didn't want to come anywhere close to Lamia or Grim. If there was another exit, he would have gladly taken it and run all the way home. It was painful and suffering to linger here, and Soah could not stand it.
He felt Neil hold on to his good hand, and willingly he put all of his trust in the older man. He let Neil lead him, willing themselves to be able to pass through unharmed, but somehow he was doubting it. The one thing that startled him was the sound of Astaroth's voice behind him, and he peered at her in wonder, because this was the demon that had hurt him, and now this was also the demon that was coming to his defense. It didn't compute, and now he had little idea of what to think of her.
Soah obediently let Neil hold him away from Grim, and he was silently thankful, just a little bit too shaken up to voice his relief that Neil was going through these efforts to keep him safe. He'd have to find some way to thank him... later. He was pushed ahead of Neil, and it didn't take much encouragement from anyone for Soah to rush down the stairs. He wanted to get out of there so bad that even the feel of Lamia's scales against his calf wasn't enough to deter him. He reached the bottom of the stairs quickly, sighing softly to relieve some of his anxiety. He turned his head, indigo eyes staring up at Neil, waiting, unwilling to leave his lover's side for any length of time.

The spectral beast snapped stubbornly at this b***h of a Prince but he did not advance any further. He was a loyal dog, but he wasn't foolish. He was not a servant of Hell or an abomination of the Earth. He had been a creation of God, a scrawny mutt buried alive under an altar. For the glory of Heaven or Hell he didn't know. He didn't care. He was now a servant, and he had a master threatened and mangled by a brat throwing a tantrum.
But he would not die for Mandy (not now at least) and he allowed them to pass, even if it truly wasn't up to him. He watched the two with feral red eyes, dribble and drool still clinging to his massive muzzle. Seeing the little dwarf Soah, he snarled and snapped at him from across the narrow corridor, feeding off his terror. He hoped the child knew they would remember this.
((Okie >__________> b***h is not used derogatorily when Grim uses it <_< he just calls all females bitches cause >_> well... yeah so yeah >__> foot note :B ))

The hallway's lights flickered, then the glass coverings burst one by one. From the parlor room, the mistress looked up towards the party gathered at the top of the stairs, her look curious. "Hm," she said, "It seems she's noticed Us. Lucifuge, it is time to depart."
"Yes, mistress." Inside the room, the Prime Minister reached out to touch her shoulder; his finely manicured hand was visible for a brief moment, then the two of them vanished into the shadows.
At the landing, the snake-demon set Mandy down gently. "Mine senses..." Her face turned and she seemed more serpentine than ever as she quested for the source of this disturbance. Increasing static could be heard from the room that the mistress and her creature had left. Finally, Lamia decided it could only be one thing.
"Get down," she said, her voice an implicit command.

When Astaroth gave her nod of an okay Claire relaxed slightly. Looks as though the brunt of the storm had gone over, but the young woman felt as though she were in the eye and the back wall was fast approaching. Best to just keep quiet.
She shifted off the wall and took a meager two steps forward before the large Grim had started baring its fangs and looking more and more like a black version of Cujo. Claire froze and waited, watching to see how this would play out. What a party this was turning out to be.
The fire demon released his breath as Astaroth moved away. He was her underling and he trusted her judgment on these sorts of things. He didn't look at his summoner but at the Grim that was starting to act up now. It appeared to be the Grim vs. Lamia and maybe Astaroth now. He wouldn't last if Astaroth took him, that was for sure. Ifrit hung back, flicking his eyes from one demon to the next, wondering which way would be the best escape route should a rumble break loose.
As the lights shattered and glass feel like rain both the demon and summoner covered their faces involuntarily. After the pieces landed and broke on contact with the flooring, Claire looked up.
"...Great."

Hilaire dropped to the floor and covered her head with her hands. Lucifer did the same, spreading his wing over her. Something was clearly happening, and it was something big. "Lucifer, what's going on?! Is mother ok?"
Lucifer pulled the fragile human closer to him and looked around. He could feel something coming, someone powerful. He didn't like this at all. "Hilaire, I'm sure she is fine. Though I think that is the least of our worries. Stay close to me. Whatever you do, don't leave my side."
Hilaire nudged him in the ribs with her elbow. He obviously knew what he was talking about, but she still didn't like him ordering her around.

Neil was so used to being around demons now, he mistakenly thought the glass to be Astaroth's voice. His expression was vaguely perplexed as he saw glass sparkle and fall before his eyes, only then understanding the gravity of what was really happening. The older man thundered quickly down the stairs, tucking Soah against his chest and ushering them both towards the entrace. "Keep ye 'ead down Soyah," he breathed, eyes brows furrowed, "and dinnae look up!"
Hell could have been coming to Gaia for all he knew, but be damned if it would stop him from getting out of that house!
The Prince was perfectly still, even going so far as to lift her head as shards plummeted to the ground. The few that touched her didn't leave so much as a knick in passing, falling harmlessly around her feet. Astaroth tasted something on the air, something...familiar. The demoness did not know fear or physical caution, and so as everyone ducked, she remained upright, intelligent gaze shifting around the stairwell.
"I'd suggest you all leave immediately," she said out loud, more to her Ifrit than anyone else. "Someone is coming." Not something. And if she was right, she wouldn't want to miss it. If she was wrong...well. There weren't many that could render her incapable of moving, and so she waited, leathery wing outstretched over the fire demon and Claire so that they might leave unscathed.

He glanced in silent wonderment up at the ceiling as the lights began to flicker, and was startled enough that he gave a little jump as the glass began to shatter and fall. His hands moved instictively to cover his face, his body shying away from the flickering lights. It was only when Neil came to him and told him to keep his head down that he did. Soah let himself be held against Neil protectively, and he didn't need any provocation before he started to head to the door. If things were going to be getting dangerous, he wanted to be out. He was sick and tired of being somehow drawn to the center of drama. Ever since he had summoned Merihem and made that binding contract with him things had seemed to be going downhill.
But he had Neil, and he knew that it made everything worth it.
He reached out, his hand finding the door knob and twisting it. In his hurry to get out, it took a few anxious seconds to pry the door open. There was light, such pretty light of day, and he wanted nothing more than to bask in it and get far away from this building. Neil and him did not have any need to be here any longer, or so he thought, since Martel and Lucifuge had taken off.
