Soren looked towards Markis, as he sat down next to the fire across from him."Very kind of you..I will gladly take you up on your offer." He said, resting his staff next to him. Soren stared into the fire, his golden eyes grew brighter in the light of the flames."So I'm not the only one who has noticed?" He began to speak."All the animals are acting strangely.." Soren whispered, lowering his gaze.

"Celia... Nice to meet you as well." He smiled, as they got closer to the fire. "If your cold, I can get you a coat." He noticed how she was acting as they headed towards the fire place. "What would you like to eat?" He stopped by Markis' hut door, and waited for her to respond.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"They started acting strangely a while ago." Markis looked over at the forest for a moment. "They seem to stay away from the village." Sighing he looked back over at the fire place.
[I'm late to the party, is it morning or night? All I understand is that it's dark]
Arine woke to darkness. It was late, or early, depending on how you looked at it. She knew not when she'd fallen asleep, because she was next to her mother's sickbed, her head in her arms. The girl raised her head and blinked away the spots in her vision. Either way, there was no more sleep. She had to get up now, regardless of the time.
She changed and grabbed some bread from the counter, chewing as she went out the door, to the village center. A bit of smoke was visible atop the roofs of the village. 'There must be something going on' she thought. As she arrived she saw a stranger, obviously a traveller, with the two village elders, and Celia with a boy she'd seen, but not met. Quietly, she brushed off her hands free of crumbs and sat down quietly. She did not know why she decided to stay here, it just seemed like a good thing to do. Besides, it was cold and she'd hadn't thought to bring a jacket.
Talia noticed Arine and smiled gently. She pulled a shawl from her shoulders and slipping behind the girl put it on her shoulders. " Arine you'll catch an illness if you don't keep a coat in these morning hours....how is your mother doing ? i'll take her some medicine later
Arine was surprised when somebody draped the cloth over her shoulders. When she saw Talia the surprise turned to thankfulness. As the woman spoke she felt a bit foolish for remembering breakfast but not a cloak. "Oh, mom's still recovering from that fever.." The girl tried to smile but her eyes betrayed her worries. "She's doing okay, but any little bit would help the healing go faster, I thank you." The girl said, grateful.
Soren noticed the girl who came to adjust herself by the warmth of the fire, then looked towards the trees of the woods. He had a rough journey through these woods, there was nothing normal going on, and he knew that fully."They sure aren't shy around one human alone...but your village..it should be safe for the time being..." He spoke, looking at Markis out of the corner of his eye.
Gweneth ate joyfully from the bowl that she'd been given. It took her a moment to calm down from her immediate food induced euphoria, but once the brunt of her hunger was sated, she rejoined the conversation. "They stay away from the village Markis? Do you think that may be a sign that the source of this creepy sensation may be inside the village itself?"
Gweneth leaned forward, feeling alarmed. She had held the assumption that any danger would come from outside, not within the village.
" I wouldn't jump to conclusions...we would know if something like that was festering here.."S he said more to comfort herself. she knew that was a threat and with Verin as things were. She shook it from her brain." Markis i'm going to tend to Arine's mother a bit and i will return..."she slipped into her home and left with some herbs. She had made a paste at the girls hut and soon medicated the mother. It seemed she would heal fine but this was mostly to calm herself. She returned a time later and sat at the fire staring into it. " some ones coming..."
Laelin ran from the forest her large sword creaking a bit. She noticed the village and decided to try and find a place to recuperate. Her long green hair swished as she silently came up behind Soren and the others. She was small and curious.
The girl stood with Talia and watched intently as her mother was treated, During the process the old woman had not squirmed at all, for she was deep in a sleep, a sleep one went into when healing was needed, at least, that's what the nineteen-year old thought. Arine followed the older woman back, observing that the elder was a bit uneasy. As they returned to the fire she heard Talia speak "Someone's coming..." The woman said. Arine could not help but wonder, two travellers in a single morning? Was something big going on? As her thinking sped up, she noticed a lithe shadow approach. Looking behind her, she saw a strange being, of leaf hair and snowy skin.
She said nothing, for she could think of nothing to say.
Before Markis could open his mouth to talk, Talia answered for him. Staring into the fire, he started to speak. "The village is safe, but for how long?" He asked, not really paying much attention to what others where doing. "I just hope it stays this way..." The light of the sun was starting to become visible on the horizon as the air started to warm.
"Yes please, it's a little chillier than I expected this morning." Celia replied, nodding gratefully at the offer of a coat and returning his smile again. "Anything is great, thank you." Remembering her father's words, she bowed her head to the Elders and nodded to the others around the fire as a sign of respect before kneeling down and outstretching her hands to take in the heat. As the sun made its arrival known, Celia felt herself relax knowing that her secret would become less noticable during the day should she slip up again.
"Ok then." Verin said before walking into Markis' hut. After a few minutes he walked back out with a white coat, and a small plate with Canadian bacon and eggs. Walking over to Celia, and handed her to coat as he held the plate. He sat down on the log next to her as he felt the heat of the fire on his face, he smiled in the warmth.
Taking the coat, Celia immediately pulled it over the sleeves of her dress and onto her shoulders, and wrapped it around her slender body. She reached behind and brought her hair up and out of the back. Accepting the plate from Verin, she tucked into the breakfast with earnest, realising how hungry she was this morning. "How come everyone's up so early, Verin?" she asked out of the blue, wondering if he had to get up at this time often.
As Celia took the food from him, he leaned back some. "I don't really know why." He looked over at Markis for a moment. "But then again. I am never up at this time." Closing his eyes he looked up into the sky. "Maybe its jus-." He cringed, as he bent over and held onto his right leg cringing in pain. Falling forward off the log, he lied there for a moment, as he held his leg.
Soren stared into the depths of the flames intently, this place had felt strange to him, which is what had drawn him near. Not adjusting his eyes, he began to speak."I've dealt with them before...don't worry, if your village goes under an attack I will help you as much as possible." Speaking both to Markis and Talia, he looked intent as he raised his eye level with the two.
