Radosta's light giggle filled the clearing as she did a light stepped little dance across the open space to bow briefly but elegantly before Charlotte. Her bright blue eyes sparkled and her golden yellow coat flashed wanly in the dull winter's light. She looked around herself at the combined Herla, her infectious smile like the sudden appearance of the sun on a rainy day.
" I will help bring Christmas Joy back to the clans! Besides, a little adventure sounds like fun, doesn't it everyone?"

Lumi sighed rather dismayed as she looked around noticed no one was paying attention to her, becuase she wasn't going to get an answer. Feeling awkward and as if she should just leave, Lumi made a move to turn and leave the way she had come, that is, until she saw the blindfolded Herla. She looked at him curiously for a moment before realization dawned on her, he was blind... Lumi felt a wave of pity ruch through her and before she could control her body to do otherwise she was walking over to the Herla, a freindly expression on her face, which was pointless seeing as how he couldn't SEE it, and asked in a gentle voice. "Would you like some help in this venture?"

Heret's ears perked forward as a voice spoke nearby. "I'm assuming you're talking to me?" He stated softly with a small smile. "And if you are, I would gladly take any help you're willing to give." Oh how he wished he could see the herla who now spoke to him. The voice sounded female, but that was it. "I'm Heret. What's your name?" He asked with another plesant smile."

Lumi smiled awkwardly and then nodded her head.LUMI! he's blind, he can't see that, say something! Lumi's eyes went slightly wide as she realised the strange voice in her head was right. She giggled awkwardly for a moment, "Sorry, I um... Yes, i was offering my help to you Heret. Thank you for accepting it, My name is," She raised her head and extended her neck in an attempt to impress, only to once again realise, that wasn't going to work, so she simply slouched slightly and smiled at her own foolishness. "My name is Lumina, but you may call me Lumi for short. And it's very nice to meet you."

-walking out from the cover of the trees, Merala exposed herself to the rest of the Herla- "I'm sure we can handle whatever we come across."

Chanda stirred, and stood as she heard the other herla speak. She'd all but fallen asleep under the warm sun, waiting for the 'hunt' to begin. "I agree," She nodded as she spoke, the delecate chain that hung from her ear giving a musical jingle. "At the very least, our numbers should keep us well and safe." She smiled faintly in her typical demeanor, as if she were being patient with the entire deal.

"The pleasure is mine, Lumi." Heret stated as he gave a small bow of his head. However, as more herla began to speak, he turned his ears towards them and nodded along. "And anyone or anything that would steal stockings of all things cannot be all too fiercesome."

Lumi laughed lightly as she listened to her guardian make a comment about an evil christmas theif called the Grinch. Though she pushed out of her mind the fact that it had been her mother to tell her that story first. "I don't know..." she said in a tone that hopefully his the mixed emotions going through her mind at that point, "We might have the grinch on our hands and I've heard he's quite feirce in his hatred of the holidays." She gave an amused smile, not even registering the fact that no one else would have any idea of what she was talking about.

Chanda eyed the herla with a confused expression, one brow raised high as it's counter part pressed low. "A G'inch? ...Well that doesn't sound all that fearsom at all..." She'd certainly never heard of such a creature.. Prehaps it was something like a finch... Still, her pride didn't let her ask the question just yet, for fear of making a fool of herself. Certainly if they ran into a G'inch, she'd recognize the strange creature...

There was no need for Benholz to enter the fray, the crowds would eventually notice her and recognize her for who she was and the knowledge she could (falsely) offer...and she'd wait for that. Skulking on the fringes, she said nothing as she arrived late, simply moved around the edges of the group, watching, waiting, listening...more like a shadow than a living Herla. But it was all about appearances, certainly. And Benholz liked her appearance. It was...deceiving.

Iris on the other hand was the type of Herla to miss the bigger picture. Even after listening to Rook's thoughtful advise on the creature, Iris was more curious as to finding out what kind of new animal would be apart of the glen. "Maybe it's harmless." He muttered to himself though hardly missed by anyone within close proximity.
He flicked his tail causing the moth to flutter its wings and take off. Quickly his attention flicked to the moth but calmed as it fluttered to land on his head like a perfect accessory for his mane. He smiled a moment then blinked remember where he was. Clicking a hoof against the ground he looked through the growing crowd of Herla, his thoughts drawing inward.
He didn't mind getting dirty, he'd just clean off in a spring somewhere. As for the dangers, he was too oblivious to just how much danger there was. In short, he didn't show much fear if any, more excited was he to travel and mingle with the others. Of course he'd go.

Lumi smiled mischeviously over to the Herla who had said the grinch didn't sound to fearsome, as if she was about to share a peice of juicy gossip. She tried hiding the fact that no one really knew about the grinch outside of her little tribe the best she could and motioned for the female Herla to come a little closer, so that she could tell her all about the Grinch and his christmas hating ways. She was happy now that she did well in large groups, even if she wasn't talking to everyone, she knew she wouldn't really have to become 'freinds' with anyone. Which meant she wouldn't have to leave them eventually and feel sad at the fact. As she waited for the Herla to come closer and talk with her, her hostess personality began to come into effect. even if the Grinch wasn't real, she might as well entertain them.

Chanda eyed the herla with an almost unreadable expression for a moment, then walked over. There was a sweet little glint in her eyes, something that Chanda wasn't quite used to, but welcomed all the same. She had the odd feeling that she should be giggling at the moment, but restrained herself in spite of the observation.

For all Iris' distracted demeanor, seemingly paying more attention to his insect companion than to the situation, Rook considered his words with the gravity he felt they deserved. "Quite possible," he replied, voice likewise softening to be directed at Iris rather than the group as a whole. "There are creatures, after all, that are attracted to shiny things, or a particular smell... Perhaps we're dealing with a thief who simply likes something about the stockings."
A brief smile as he half-listened to the others talking about the fearsome Grinch... He had heard the word before, not the whole story, just fragments taken from his Guardian's whispered ramblings. But he had pieced together enough over the holiday season to know it was a story for human fawns. Not very dangerous at all. "Let's hope that's all it is."

Lumi giggled slightly as visions of her mother and siblings passed through her head, as they listened intently to the yearly story, as the Herla came closer to her, she looked from side to side as if she were making sure no one would hear the conversation and then she gave a small half smirk "Well, in a place called Whoville, near the dead cities, they had problems with a mutated Herla, called the Grinch." and from there, she quoted the first lines of the story she knew and loved.
"Every Who down in Whoville liked Christmas a lot, but the Grinch, who lived just north of Whoville, did not. The Grinch hated Christmas - the whole Christmas season. Oh, please don't ask why, no one quite knows the reason. It could be, perhaps, that his shoes were too tight. Or maybe his head wasn't screwed on just right. But I think that the most likely reason of all may have been that his heart was two sizes too small." Lumi gave a quick nod of her head as if it were all true and then went on to explain, "well one year, he was in a particularly foul mood, thinking of how he could ruin christmas for everyone, and Then he got an idea. An awful idea. The Grinch got a wonderful, awful idea. He dressed up as Santa, and STOLE all the presents, and food, and christmas decorations in Whoville. Thinking that he'd ruined christmas he began to celebrate, only to hear the town bellow celebrating it just as they normally did with a song and wonderful loving celebration...
He puzzled and puzzled till his puzzler was sore. Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before! "Maybe Christmas," he thought, "doesn't come from a store. Maybe Christmas... perhaps... means a little bit more! " And what happened then? Well, in Whoville they say that the Grinch's small heart grew three sizes that day. And then the true meaning of Christmas came through, and the Grinch found the strength of ten Grinches plus two. He brought everything back, all the food for the feast. And he, he himself, the Grinch, carved the roast beast. Now, luckilly for the Who's, he's been pretty contempt with celebrating christmas, but then again, there are an awful lot of grinches in the world, bent on making others miserable, becuase they themselves suffer." Lumi lifted her head as she heard anouther Herla talk, as if they knew the story, when she saw him smiling knowingly (right? i dunno) she thought that he must have heard the story as well. "If that is the case," she called, "we should all break out in song to get them back!"
