"Used to worse?" Elizabeth began. "I do hope that it's not...much worse." She couldn't help but reveal what type of person she was. She was so used to taking care of people even if they didn't want her help...it was second nature to her.

"I'm sorry, I like to help people...sometimes." Elizabeth wasn't all good but she wasn't about to let that leak out her mother would kill her and the press would have a field day.

Elizabeth sighed over-dramatic like and gestured to the neighborhood they had found themselves it.

"Welcome to La ville de l'emprisonnement. You come and stay for awhile and you NEVER find your way out. It has it's way of sucking people in and keeping a tight hold on them." Elizabeth shrugged and looked ahead.

"OH! That's where I live." She pointed to a rather large home neighbored by other large homes. It was an immaculate house with a neatly mowed front lawn and trimmed hedges. There was a large fountain in the front and a wrap-around drive way for cars. It was a beautiful home to other people besides Elizabeth, she saw it as prison.

Up further ahead was the tailor's, Elizabeth smiled and got ready to exit the car. "We're to arrive very soon...."

Lye's jaw dropped when he saw Elizabeth's house.
"You live in that? That house is ridiculous! No, it's ric**kulous! There's no way anyone needs that much space!"
Lye suddenly realized he was gawking and cleared his throat in embarrassment. Instead of trying to act cool, he just reiterated his point.
"That is a ridiculous house."

Elizabeth laughed at the adjective Lye decided to use to describe her house. No one she knew talked like that and it was refreshing to have somthing different in her life.

"I suppose that a family of three wouldn't need that much space but you don't know my mother. She has a seperate room for blouses, and another room for skirts and slacks, and another room for dresses, a seperate room for her shoes and an entire closet for her handbags." Elizabeth smiled. "I won't even tell you the size of the room she has reserved for her jewels." Elizabeth giggled and felt the car stop.

She peered outside and smiled, they had made it. Elizabeth's chauffeur got out of the car and opened up the door for the two of them. Elizabeth made her way out as lady-like as possible and waited on the curb for Lye to make his exit. The Tailor's looked like a mansion in itself with the huge gargoyles perched at the top of the building.

"He always did love to make a scene..." Elizabeth spoke softly, smiling at her joke.

Leanne got her books in a rush, almost late for her appointment with the tailor. Elizabeth had invited to a party earlier in the week. Her sister was going to be pissed, she had to be there within a few minutes. She took out books from her bookbag and locker, switching several of them. She paced herself through the hallway, making sure she didn't look like a total lunatic, nor did she want to be seen running in the halls by a teacher, which would slow her down even more. Leanne stood at the parking lot, and noticed her sister's mercedes parked by the curb. "Hurry up!" Leanne threw her stuff in the car, and quickly got in. She started drumming her fingers on the car seat, waiting. "We'll get there on time, but it's not polite to come seconds before people expect you." Her sister said, rushing through the city streets so many miles above the speed limit. Leanne looked at the street signs and saw there wasn't much to cover left. She scooted over to the seat next to the door, and was ready to get out of the car. Parked in a reasonable spot, Leanne got out of her sister's car and walked quickly while straightening up her hair and making sure she looked okay. She opened the familiar door, and apologized. They had her dress all ready to be fitted and everything. The tailor was already bringing her over in their direction to be measured. "Ah, such perfection." The tailor said, complimenting her shape with a smile.

Lye shook his head as Elizabeth had finished describing her mother's rooms. He personally believed just from that tidbit that Elizabeth's mother was a conceited b***h with a pole shoved far up her a**. But he wasn't about to say that aloud. He wasn't stupid. Lye stepped out of the limo and looked at the building.
"Is everything here so... dramatic?"
Lye looked somewhat disgusted, as everything was extravagant and overindulgent and excessive. Everything Lye despised in 'higher' culture.

Elizabeth sighed again and nodded with a look of mock sadness on her face.
"I'm afraid so...all of the buildings here are ornately decorated and trimmed. It's all very fancy and high-end...I'm so terribly sorry." Elizabeth smiled and linked her arm through Lye's.
"Let us go and explore the world of fashion shall we?" Her smiled turned devious as she stood up on the tips of her toes to land a small peck on Lye's cheek before dragging him along with her inside the Tailor's building.
There were people runnning back forth taking measurements and rattling off instructions to the people who altered the garments. It was a bustling place but the owner of the entire operation stepped forward and greeted Elizabeth with open arms.

"WELCOME BACK LIZZY!" He exclaimed, not bothering to hide his...homosexuality. He was gay, it was true but he could design the most stunning gowns anyone had the right to lay their eyes on.
Elizabeth blushed when he used her nickname like that.
"Hello, I'm getting my dress fixed up for the party tonight." Elizabeth returned to her natural poise and elegance.

"Of course, of course, and who might this be?" The tailor started, eyeing Lye. "Is this your escort?" He asked openly.
Elizabeth had been blushing before but now it was bright pink.
"Must you exclaim everything?!" Elizabeth hissed.

Lye smiled at the wonderfully flamboyant and fabulous man. He looked to the side and saw 'Lizzy' glowing red. He gently nudged her, grinning.
"What's the matter, 'Lizzy'? Embarrassed?"
Lye turned back to the man, still smiling.
"No. Well, Elizabeth hasn't said anything. I'm just a new acquaintance."
Lye started looking around, noticing a few attractive women, and saw a girl who looked like she could be in the same school as Elizabeth.

Elizabeth's mouth dropped open when she heard Lye use her nickname. Her cheeks were warm from her blushing and she felt oddly naked.

"I'm not embarrassed! No, not at all!! Why would I be!?" Elizabeth's voice rose an octave higher than normal and she forced herself to calm down.

"Yes, we've only just met each other a moment ago. No one has asked to escort me....I think I shall be going without one this evening..." Elizabeth shook her head and looked up again after a moment with a smile on her face.

She noticed that Lye had been looking around the building, she knew that there would be a lot to take in from the artwork to the busy people...and the beautiful models. Suddenly Elizabeth felt very uncomfortable in her body and wanted out of it. She wanted to become more beautiful....she didn't know how Lye felt about her being that they just met a moment ago but she liked him personality wise and he looked handsome as well.

Why does everyone have to be so beautiful? Elizabeth thought with jealousy. Why can I not be that stunning to look at?

Lye was looking around, bored, when he heard that Elizabeth had no escort.
What is this? Dost my ears betray me? An opening?
Lye looked to Elizabeth, eyebrow cocked.
"You don't have an escort? Why not?"
PostPosted: Mon Jan 12, 2009 9:02 pm

Elizabeth looked at Lye again, an expression of blankness on her face. Why didn't she have an escort? That was a simple question was it not?

"I don't have an escort because no one asked me." Elizabeth smirked, maybe it was just obvious to her then. Was she crazy then?! She hoped not.

"I don't really know why....it might be because my mother would be an imposing figure to face....I don't know, she likes to ruin a lot of things for me. First it was my fifth birthday when I asked for a stuffed teddy bear and she told me that material goods only spoiled children....now it's scaring away all the likely bachelors who wish to escort me to a party...how wretched of my mother...." Elizabeth sighed.

Leanne heard a familiar voice coming from somewhere close by, and looked behind her after given instructions. "Oh, hi Elizabeth!" Leanne said, pacing over to her. She noticed the boy everyone was talking about back at school next to her, the one who looked like he was going to murder someone or something. I don't see what's so special about him. He's just another wannabe tough guy, I suppose. Maybe it's a good thing I wore jeans today though... "I overheard a little, and it's alright...I don't have an escort either." Leanne smiled at the boy. "Nice to meet you. I'm Leanne."
PostPosted: Mon Jan 12, 2009 9:11 pm

Lye looked over and saw this Leanne, and eyed her from behind his sunglasses. This place had a lot of good-looking women. He was glad him and his brothers came here. He smiled back at Leanne.
"My name is Lysander. Call me Lye."
Lye looked at Elizabeth and shrugged.
"And, hey, it might not be my cup of tea, but I wouldn't mind being your escort."

Elizabeth smiled at Leanne and removed her arm from Lye's. She squealed happily and ran over to Leanne finding herself embracing her tightly.

"I've missed you! How've you been! How are things!? You're going to the party tonight? I didn't know." Elizbeth was beaming now, she had met a new guy who turned out to be someone she liked and she had ran into Leanne. The day could only get better.

Lye had offered to be her escort, she almost thought that she could stand up anymore. Elizabeth detatched herself from Leanne and smiled happily at Lye.

"Oh? You'll really escort me to the party?" Elizabeth clapped her hands together once. "Thank you so much! I know you might not be into the whole...formal party thing but I think after a little while you'll start to enjoy yourself, there ARE other guys going you know, I don't think you'll do too badly." Elizabeth decided to give Lye a hug even thought her mother would have said not to. He was so...nice.

"Thank you." Elizabeth whispered.

"OKAY! That means fitted dresses and a tux for Mr. Studly over here." The Tailor shouted, eyeing Lye like he was on display. "Marvelous...I can do wonders with you."
PostPosted: Mon Jan 12, 2009 9:26 pm

Lye smiled and whispered back.
"No problem."
When the tailor started eying him, though, he felt his heart drop through the floor. He recognized that look. It was the look he gave some girls, the same look a hungry dog gives a piece of meat. Lye was almost scared. He wanted to whisper something about not wanting to be anally raped, but felt it wouldn't be appropriate. He nodded, face blank.

Brooklyn sighed as she closed her history book. "Done! ....Finally." She said as she went to her room. She then changed into her jogging outfit, which was basically just her short dark blue athletic shorts and a white tank top. She also had her hair pulled back into a ponytail, and running shoes on. She grabbed her iPod nano off her dresser before She jogging downstairs and into the living room where her mother was sitting, reading a book. "I'm going for a jog, okay?" She said.

Before Brooke's mom could even reply, she bolted out the door and down the street. What a perfect day to run.... She thought happily. She turned her iPod on as she ran, and since no one was around, she started to sing a little. But, whenever she saw somebody walking, or a car, she immediately stopped. She was too embarrassed to sing around people, even though she was great.
