((as soon as Lumi get's done THIS scene is going to be made into a picture and cherished!))
Lumi stopped, all thoughts of anything else completely vansihed from her mind, instead her usually caring demeanor was flushed away, and replaced with a burning rage as she saw why Heret was blind. She was dumbfounded, how could someone do something like that, especially to her Heret? She looked down to see the little Rion scurry off of Heret and she put her hoof down in front of it, a very scary expression gracing her face. She reached down and roughly snatched the fabric from the Rion, whether it offered it to her or not. She looked up, blindfold in her mouth, and the anger only doubled, but she quickly pushed it down, afraid that Heret might mistake her anger to be directed at him. She took a few slow and nervous steps toward him, "H-Heret?" She asked, unsure of how he would react, "It's alright Heret, I've got your blindfold..." She took a few more steps toward him, closing the gap, Her eyes were beginning to water and she was suddenly feeling tired from all the emotions that had just passed through her, but most of all, she suddenly felt extremely guilty for all the things she'd just complained about. Finally, after what had seemes an eternity, she was right next to him, it hurt her to see him trying to hide the scars from her. She cuatiously lowered her head and nuzzled her noes against the side of Heret's eyes. After a few moments of that, she finally said in a small whisper "You're rather handsome did you know that?"

Heret shivered as Lumi nuzzled him, before he sighed and nuzzled his head against her neck. "Thank you." He stood there for a moment, not moving. He didn't like people seeing what was left of his eyes, which is why he wore the blindfold, but having Lumi know was.... releaving to him. Knowing that she didn't care was wonderful. "I love you." The herla added softly, refusing to lift his head from her neck.

She stayed like that, gently nuzzling Heret for a few minutes, in an attempt to make him feel better. She smiled sweetly when Heret told her that he loved her, for some reason, this time... it meant more to her than the first time, she knew he meant it then, but now... She really felt it in his words. How long had he been hiding these scars? She knew his brother must have seen them, was she the first to have seen them since? She felt absolutely honored by that thought. "I love you too." She finally replied, licking the side of his face that had been previously hidden to her by the blindfold. She pulled away slightly, and in a much cheerier tone of voice told him "But if you're going to keep acting so shy with out your blind fold on, I think we had better get it back on you."
In that moment, Lumi felt as if she were walking in the clouds, that one moment they had just experienced, cemented in her mind how important it was to stay here, with Heret. She would NEVER let anyone hurt him like that again.

Heret forced a small chuckled and nodded. "That would probably be a good idea." He sighed into her fur, blushing lightly as he was licked. "It just goes over my....eyes....and tightens in the back." He explained, raising his head to Lumi's eye level.
From the bushes, Balin smiled softly and turned to leave, letting the two be alone. He'd talk to Lumi later if she wanted to, but not now.

Lumi faltered, looking at his eyes head on was alot more... well, REAL then when she'd just been trying to get a good look at it. But she wouldn't say anything, she knew she would never say anything. Pushing those thoughts to the back of her mind, she looked down at the blindfold, and up at Heret's head a few times. "That sounds a lot easier then it looks..." She finally admitted.

The herla nuzzled Lumi. "Yeah, I know... Just help me get it over my eyes then go around and tighten it in the back." He suggested, scraping the dirt nervously with his back leg. Spending time without his blindfold on was making him nervous and selfconcious, even though he knew that Lumi wouldn't care.

Lumi looked uncertainly at Heret's antlers, wondering how she would go about doing this, so... rather awkwardly, she toseed the thing over his antlers, trying her best to maneuver around the little boney horns that stuck out on either side. When she had finally accomplished this, she tried to figure out how to get the strap tightened in the back, she stepped behind him, and carful not to grab any of his hair, gently began to tug on the back of the blindfolf. "like this?"

"Yeah. There should be a little slit that the extra bit slips into." He explained, glad to finally have the leather thing hiding the scar once more. "Thank you, Love." Heret turned his head slightly to nuzzle her. "What would I do without you?"

Lumi giggled as she was nuzzled, "probably fall into a sort of hole and never be able to get out." She nuzzled him back before pulling away slightly so that she could be right alongside him when they walked. "In reality though," she said turning her head to the side, "You would go on living the life you lead before we'd come into each others lives. We both might have found other mates, but neither of us might have experienced a happily ever after sort of an ending." she leaned her head against Heret's shoulder, taking comfort in the touch, "So i'm glad I have you in my life."

Heret chuckled, nodding. "You're probably right. I'd still be stuck in that one hole." He nuzzled against Lumi. "I love you." He licked her cheek softly, smiling as he led the way back to the glen. Heret had had enough excitement for one day and now he just needed to rest. He'd become unbelievably tired all of a sudden.

Lumi closed her eyes as Heret lead the way back to their home, she began to feel really relaxed, just leaning there, she listened to Heret's breathing, and to his heart beat, and it was as if all the things in the world were stopped. She gave a small smile and a content sigh. When he licked her cheek she felt like her knees were going to go out from underneath her. She felt herself blush and she couldn't help but rub her cheek against Heret's while giggling sweetly. "I love you too Heret, it's impossible not to."

Heret chuckled, snuggling against Lumi. "And I feel the same about you too." How could he? In only a short period of time, Lumi had become his world, and he didn't know what on earth he'd do without her.
