Enter a traveler...
...Well he seemed to be a traveler, seeing as how he was wearing a light traveler's cloak. Underneath was a particularly pale, gaunt fellow, of no imposing size, being only average height. His features were striking though, strikingly sharp, and his eyes narrowed, slightly angular like a serpent's, even the pupils slightly narrowed, perhaps because of the sun he seemed so desperately trying to keep off his fair skin. By any standard, his appearance must have made him seem to be nobility of an elegant sort, the way he was fashionably dressed well.

Looking up to take notice of those he'd intruded on, his bangs covered half his face and only one serpentine eye was visible staring out. The cloak hid his arms well. "Oh, excuse me. Does anyone know where Trance village is? Or what direction its in? I'm looking for someone, and, well, while I could find my way there eventually--all roads go somewhere and so long as you're going somewhere you will eventually reach you're destination--I'd really rather take the shortcut known as the courtesy of strangers." He did not seem to be aware of all the intense fighting going on and the dangerous individuals around him. "Sorry to interrupt." For courtesy's sake, he added.

Judging from his outward appearance he had been traveling through the woods for some time now, and before that across many other terrains. Maybe that cloak was a favorite of his, or else it was just very trustworthy or else very new and being put to the test. He didn't seem to have anything valuable on him, but he might have been carrying a sword, which he was trying to keep hidden.

((The Familiar for those who don't know her))

Cheville would continue to tend to her Familiar Ludwiga who'd already healed in her sealed form from the seishou her master would naturally provide. It was in a familiars nature to heal much faster than a normal person, and much more so when sealed. With a potent amount of power a familiar could be said to heal at near miracles levels of disfigurement, as long as the ability to shift back into the sealed state was viable. As Geist neared Ludwiga would spot him with her sealed forms natural superior sight. Of coarse alerting her master, which wasn't needed. She knew he'd come. Truthfully slower than she'd anticipated him to find her. She was sure some enhancement of one or more of his senses was in the package of power that his master provided his body with. Maybe he thought a stroll was better. An entire battle had taken place giving her more than enough time to have Ludwiga recover, even try and intervene in the battle. Of coarse when the rock came flying towards her Ludwiga would move slightly and dodge it.

Ludwiga stayed focused on Geist but her master as was her fashion stayed disinterested in the man and looked away into the trees. Cheville'd hear him talking and answer for not having anything better to do.
" I like it in this tree, It's quite comfortable. I wonder if you've ever tried relaxing. Though I'm sure your masters keep you on a short leash...Hmm, what makes you so sure tat the power to govern Familiars isn't the limits of my power, or are you all knowing?"He'd persist with his ranting and she'd go on to list away as he spoke.
"Well I'm don't know what you're talking about. All I've done was give the effort that was required of me. If I need use more, I'll give it what I've got. Yet I'm sure that I'll never beat such a strong slave of G.E.A.RB.O.L.T as you Pin-Head. Wait Geist, no... I like Pin-head. Anyway, why would i waste more energy on you. You go on and on about my use of power. Yet I'm sure that the healing your using is cutting into some power as well, also all those fancy moves."

She finally turn to him with a grin formed by ruby lips her red hair gently masking one side of her face. Keeping her self at an emotional distance, even with out the tone she was already using." You talk about my abilities as if you know them to the letter. Do you know how I gained my familiar? Do you know all her powers or if she's hurt? Am I really the prize you seek? Am I really taxing myself with whats happened so far. I assure you, you may have used far more power than I. Yet this may be irrelevant with a bottomless source of power. Which we know isn't likely between the two of use." A slight mocking tone of laughter came under her words as she continued.
"You fight like a beast and have simple methods, you heal, but not naturally quick. So I'd say more impressive regeneration comes from a shape shift. How many you hold is unknown. You hold power to manipulate gravity to an extent and you are obviously a melee fighter. As I've brought up, I suspect you to be a slave to The Institute. What ever elixir, machine, or bug that gives you this false magic is distributing it's power at a fixed rate that is neurokinetically controlled. I'd say it's in you brain or heart for the sake of the Cliche you are. Yet your not the magic I'm used to. With your shape shift you'll grow in power, but the power you've shown already are the limits of it's variety, right? Though you get more powerful you still eat a mass of seishou to do all of what you can do. I bet you have some super inefficient last explosion move, huh? Then you run away if it fails. So much bravado. You'll never beat me Pin-head, you know barely nothing about my powers and all you have are assumptions. Yet I also hold a few, they aren't completely unfounded. As most definitely your own are. My relationship with my familiar is different from some, and I send her to fight what she can handle. I use only a fraction of a fraction of the sieshou I have to hold our contract and she listens to me by her own free will. When I give her a boost, you'll notice. If she dies, I'll gain a new familiar. We have that understanding."

Just as Cheville came to the end of her little speech, which was meant to be far shorter. Due to her assumption that the Buffoon had no mind to listen too long to any ones voice. A new comer would emerge in a dark cloak asking if he'd be able to receive some directions to Trance. Cheville shrugged and answered. "Well Trance is not to far from here continue the way you're going and you'll be by the forests edge shortly. Try not to buy things in the market, they like to swindle travelers. Oh and please no intrusion at all." As she spoke Cheville had already shot her familiar free from her sealed state a new and ready to continue her battle, aware of the shape the battle to come could have with her opponents abilities brought to light by her master. Though many things still remained shrouded, her master wasn't one to be wrong about her sizing up of ones character from the first imprecation.

"Would you please excuse use, this man here seems to want to hurt a simple Shaman as myself. With only my familiar here to defend me, oh woah is me." She'd pander to the gentlemen tastes from the look of his dirty yet noticeably refined fashion. If she could it would be nice to set up another battle, so she'd spear her self the annoyance and effort. Ludwiga would already begin to churn and twist the wind about her hands and wings.
"Master can I go now." Cheville would nod No. As to signal her to wait for the development. Cheville had hidden her power and yet Geist continued to track her scarce traces of power in the air. What ever he had it was a bother, and to have him put down was in her benefit. So tilting the scales of war in her favor. Cheville would proceed to devise a plan, listening to the voices of the spirits, whom waited in anticipation. As a unseen tension grew. They spoke of all things moving by, like ships passing trough a bay. She'd hear most everything, though it could become deafening if not tuned out a bit.

"I think you should over estimate this man, to be safe traveler. Wait, may I ask your name? My own is Cheville Asda." She smiled gently to the traveler as she'd keep one of her luminous green eyes behind a drape of red hair. Her body laying on a branch of one of the tall trees. Looking to Geist she'd speak again, " Oh, and also you need to ask. ' Is she using any power to seal and release her?' Well am I? I'm pretty unconventional on some points I warn you. Still How well can I defend myself with my familiar? I may need help, hmm?"

"Oh...well...since you gave yours first I simply can't refuse, now can I?" The odd smile he gave her was hiding something, perhaps hinting at the sheer bulk of all she'd said and his obvious distaste for answering her at all. "You may call me Va'an for now, and if I care to let you know my surname later I just might. That is...if we meet again. I'm in a rush you see, and haven't the time to help a woman who's got time enough to boast her enemy's power is no match for her own." Which surely came as a surprise, as the traveler had not been around to hear all that rant before, revealing that his hearing was more than an ordinary man's and that he himself must be more than an ordinary man. With an uncaring look, the kind the upper-class uses to look down on the peons he stated "I'm afraid I'll be on my way." On that he began to walk passing right by the tree she was in, but paused behind it without looking back. "You mustn't assume I'm going to help you, you see, it tends to put some off. In addition, you needn't worry about the one you ask to save you, and you needn't advise me. I'm no fool as far as a fight goes, at least. ...Now, on the point of spurring me into action, you may have failed, but on the other hand, did you consider having the lovely angel of silence ask me? Not any man can be swayed by money, power, women.... Some men can't be swayed at all, but I happen to be one of those men possessing little resilience against a pretty lady asking for help." He appeared to shrug, under that cloak. "What can I say? Its my only weakness. I must do what a woman tells me.... It falls on you, lady shaman, to weigh whether it is better to question why, or simply to do as I have said. Your part is not to question why, and your familiar's is to plead 'Oh woe is me.' Oh woe indeed, woman...what a laugh." By which he meant of course, it was better for her to get her familiar, whom he found pretty, and no doubt counted her reservedness a blessing, to ask him to help rather than ask why she, as a woman, did not sway him as her familiar did. "Ah, I never thanked you for the directions. Where are my manners?" A coy smile, more like a grin which exaggerated his serpentine features.

The troubadour enters dancing a merry jig.

"So, how will this work, exactly? I passed out the last time."
"It's quite simple, really. I just bring your body a little closer to me, metaphysically speaking. And then we can use my wings."
"They just grow there then? What happens to my shirt?"
"I can alter that too, by reinforcing its nature to fit our additional limbs."
"Ah. Very handy. I can't be buying new clothes all the time."

Eyes darting over to the troubadour, and brows atwitch. "Wings?"

Cheville was a bit put off by the strangers around about rudeness. Yet it was honest and she'd take it. She couldn't always be the pick of every man that passed by, and the wilds pf an angel rather than a fallen as her self were clearly on different scales in her mind.So Cheville with no care to the call to be humble nudged her Familiar Ludwiga to ask the man to aid them.
Though Ludwiga didn't like the words the man spoke, yet she decided to go with what her master asked of her. "Please va'an would you aid me and my master in association with me." She spoke in a calm and sweet voice, not really putting effort into the request, as it was something she didn't like to do. She'd take a glace at the traveler to see his reaction , but her attention would quickly turn back towards Geist. She spot the minstrel in the corner of her eye and feel that Thursday was in full force today.

Myles looks up.

"Ah. Ehm. Yes. That is what it said. Did you actually hear it? I thought it was just in my hea-OOF!"

Interrupting him, a pair of majestic leathery wings erupt from his back to a wingspan just over twenty feet, and a ten-foot long tail ending in a double tip.

"I wasn't READY yet! And you said nothing about a tail."
"You didn't ask. The tail is needed for flight, and besides, I missed it so."

"Hmph, haha..." Laughing a bit, his intention still unknown, a chuckle which was to say the least disturbing. "...you needn't ask so carefully. Afterall, you are a familiar yes? Because you are a familiar, harm to your master would be like harm to yourself...or at the very least it would not be inaccurate to say if any harm became your master, you yourself would be put at risk. Am I correct?" He turned around with enough belief in his own knowledge showing in his calm smirk that an answer would be unnecessary, perhaps even cast aside. "Now then, I can spare some time to your defense, my dear. Though, I worry what I can do...." Feigned humility in the face of an adversary? Before coming around the tree, he looked back over his shoulder at the man, and his lips did not move "Of course its only in your head. That is exactly why only I heard it." Then standing on the same side of the tree as Gesit, Cheville behind and above him, he began "You there, the menacing one. I don't suppose you're a man disposed towards reasonable solutions, are you?" But, despite the seriousness of the situation, Va'an could not help but crack a smile as he overheard something about a tail.

A few minutes later a group of what looked like three dark skinned men approached the area. They were coming from the direction of town where the lake was located. Each of them were gowned in shamanistic wear. The first two were muscular and athletically build from all ends while the third seemed elderly and somewhat battle hardened do to the scars that could be spotted on his exposed chest. Once they reached the area where Geist and Cheville were about to square off, the elder took the lead from there and the two men held their positions. There he took a long gaze at Geist and then Cheville. "It had been a while my young Cheville. You resemble your father more than ever these in these terrible days." He dipped his head slowly in agreement to these words. When he lied eyes on Geist he noticed a terrible blood lust within the young man. His eyes told him everything. "With the havoc you have brought upon my people, I take it that you're here for a reason young man." The old one spoke. with disappointment in his voice. "I am the village Chieftain. If anyone knows anything, I am the one you should seek. What is it that you're after?" He asked in a somewhat curious manner. Seconds later a chronic cough would take hold of them. His hair bobbed from side to side as the fit continued. The two men behind him would approach in concern but the old one would halt their positions with the signal of a raised palm. What was even more surprising was that Geist had gotten away with most of the things he had done in the village. It was like he caused more damage than the guards themselves protected. If one didn't know any better, they would began doubting the abilities of the young Shaman woman. As no true shaman of the village would sit around as idly while such havoc was taking place. Holding back and toying with the opponent was one thing, but when lives had been taken away during the cause, this called for a time to be serious. And Cheville had neglected these things. "We should not let our titles get the best of us my young Cheville. Though it may not be your actual intention, but this is the image you give yourself. When facing opponents such as the Gear Folk, you should take matters a little more seriously. Even if an opponent is abnormally beneath your level." He said in between coughs. "My child, you are too confident in your ability. I was once like that when I was young, and so were the generation of my people. And now look at the state of our village. Let us not repeat the mistakes of our pasts. You and the young are the future of our village." The old leaned forward against his cane and buried his face within his palms once more. As he coughed, he would find a slight spurt of blood within his palms. His illness was getting worst with each passing day and standing on his feet for extended time periods would only make it worst.

Myles, noting the entrance of the shaman entourage, stands straight out of respect for the chieftain. He's been to Trance many times over the years, but has never been in the presence of the chieftain. He silently tells his mental companion to be quiet a moment, and attempts to fold his wings and tail into something resembling a respectful stance.

It's hard to look respectful with three large limbs you haven't even had for five minutes.

"That was a nice monologue baby, but everything you just said was based from assumption alone. Where I come from it's all about the results. If you show nothing then you're looked at as nothing. It's as simple as that baby. Up until now your little owl's been showing you out." He laughed as he scratched through the side of his noggin. "Look baby I'll put it like this. I'm here for one thing and one thing only. Your chieftain. You on the other hand I was going to use for a little warm up before I got to him, but you gave me an owl instead. " He shrugged. As munch as he hated speaking with the woman, he couldn't help but feel just a little sorry for the girl's inaccuracy behind each assumption she made. "Let's face it sweety, but I'll know more about you than you'll ever get to know about me. Haha. Familiars will never change. And the system that they are used in will never change either. Any child can read up on them and explain to you how those petty things work. But when you're trying to explain the concept of how a 'Geist' works, have fun digging into the main core of G.E.A.R.B.O.L.T's research and magical development institute." He didn't go into explanation on how his body worked for the matter for the simple fact that he knew his body more than anyone. The sad part about the situation was even the new folks that showed up around here pointed out the weakness that one possessed when having a familiar. Familiars were familiars. And they worked pretty munch the same way all around. For a person who deemed herself one of the strongest of this village, she didn't seem to bright when it came to looking into that big noggin of hers. "Too bad so sad, but it looks like I'm going to have to finish you. What do you say I end both of you right now just to get things outta the way, sweet cheeks."

Spreading both feet into the ground, his eyes bulged out more than ever followed by that same maniacal grin . "Let's do this damn thing." He said raising a hand that crackled with seishou around it. However just before anything could happen he would notice three dark skinned shamans headed his way. As he got a better look at them, the seishou around his hand faded. It wasn't long before Geist made his next decision. Things had fell in place all too perfect today. With a maddening cackle he pointed through his hands through the air. "Well out be a son of a gun!! I didn't think it would work at first. The old b*****d actually seeks me out instead. Boy oh boy things couldn't got any easier than this." And there he revealed it. All this while he bought time fighting this woman's familiar, he had been secretly trying to draw out the old man for any easier catch. Honestly he didn't think the man would come out, which is why he tried burning off some to fight the woman and her familiar. As the man spoke to Geist, he would pretend to listen. Once the elderly man let down his guard and started coughing, Geist leaped over the elder shaman's shoulder and wrapped his arm around the man's neck from behind with a constricting grip.

"How do those guys in the movies say it again?" He scratched the side of his head with one free arm. "Oh yeah!! Any of you such as breath and the old man gets it. Um, at least I think that's how it goes. I'm not sure. But you get my drift." He said slowly backing into the woods with the old man. Geist rarely used such tactics as he just used but the Institute wanted this one alive for reasons that couldn't be discussed. "Too bad we couldn't fight Shaman Girl, but I have what I really want now. Maybe some other time."

"He's dragging a shaman into a nexus of nature's power? Wasn't he just bragging that he knew how magic worked?"
Myles shrugs a bit and says quietly, "Don't ask me. I'm a musician, not a mage. By the way, wasn't I just pleasantly drunk a moment ago?"
"I spiked your metabolism for a bit and burned it off. You can't learn to fly while drunk."
