Opal starts chuckling. "Actually, we swim down here at the lake. Of all the crazy things he's afraid of, but he'll swim. Haha!" He kinda rolls his eyes a little and looks abashed. "I tease him alot about his fears, but I think he's really been working hard to get better about them. He got his ear pierced and he has a girlfriend now too."
He looks at Cadence again, "So... you travel around a lot? I've always wanted to get out of here too. It just never seemed to be the right time."

Cadence laughed a little to herself, he brother always seemed the type to be afraid to swim, with his fear of the rain.. "I guess he is starting to take more after Mom then. Dad would faint at the sight of it. And a girlfriend you say? Hmm I'll have to see about meeting her at some point." She had a mischievous look in her eyes, one could only wonder what she was thinking. She smiled when he said he wanted to get away. It was always fun for her to get out and about to see new and exciting things. "I love to see what there is out there, see what the world is about. Besides, I get too restless if I stay in one place for too long. You should join me some time, you can always come back here, just think of it as a vacation." She smiled and looked back out, the rain had almost halted, only a few drops here and there.

"Yeah, that would be a lot of fun. Where do you go on your travels? Do you just wander? Or do you make plans?" He cocked his head a little while asking. This girl surprised him. She was so full of incongruities. He just couldn't seem to guess what she might say next, which was unusual for him. Most people are so easy to figure out.

Cadence laughed to herself again and looked to Opal. "Well it depends. Most the time I just wander, I'll find my way back to my parents, if and when I want. But sometimes, I'll listen to hearsay about wonderful places, beautiful waterfalls, bubbling hotsprings...Places like those I plan for. I guess it would depend. Now if you wanted to go with me, I'd probably plan that one out." She smiled and nudged him a little. She was getting real comfortable around him, she wondered what he was thinking, what he thought of her.

He eyes her playfully. "Really? And where would you go with me? Did you have somewhere specific in mind? Because that kinda sounded like an offer..." He nudges her back lightly and then flashes her a big smile.
"But really, I don't really have anything pressing going on. So maybe if you felt like a trip, that is, if you wanted to."

She blushed and looked into Opal's eyes for a moment before looking out into the wet forest. "Well it is an offer. And we could go anywhere. But I think I would want to know where you would prefer, what do you want to see?" She smiled and swooned a little. He wanted to travel with her, this could be exciting. "I know we just met, but I am sure this could be a lot of fun, and we can get to know eachother more." She nudged him lightly and playfully again and lightly rubbed her head to his shoulder with a smile.

He looks at her seriously. "Actually, I'd love to take a trip with you. I have no idea where I'd like to go though. I think anything new would be interesting. I suppose I've never really thought of it as more than just a passing fancy." He looks out at the lake thinking for a moment then glances back at Cadence.
"Have you been anywhere that was just amazing that you think I might like?"

Cadence thought for a moment, there were a few places she had been, mountains and valleys, rivers and streams. "Well..You've seen this lake, and the forest. I know of a gorgeous river that passes right pass a pure blue hotspring. There's a waterfall there as well, and so much tropical life there too. Bright hued flowers..it was amazing. We could go there?" She looked back to Opal and smiled, waiting to see if he thought it seemed as amazing as she thought it was.

Opal lifts both eyebrows in a surprised look. "Wow, that sounds perfect. How far is it?" He's completely taken aback that this girl who he shares nothing in common with would describe his ideal of heaven as the perfect vacation spot. "You know what? I really don't care how far away it is. Let's go!"

Cadence smiled and sat up. The rain was gone, the sun was even peeking out from the clouds, it would be a prefect walk. "Well, from where I normally walk from, it normally takes me..about half a day... But this might be closer, so maybe a shorter period of time? Were you wanting to go today? Or we can plan for another..? I am free to go at anytime." She smiled and laughed before realizing he said 'let's go'. She stood up and looked out the walkway.

Opal look at Cadence then blinks a couple of times smiling. The sun had just shimmered off her fur and blinded him. He literally saw stars while looking at her.
He shakes his head a little and had to look away from her so he could catch his breath to speak. "Well, since neither of us had any plans... how about it?"
He brushes lightly against her as he walks out of the gazebo and sits down in the sun looking at her waiting for a response.

Cadence laughed a little to her self and got up and walked from the gazebo.
"I'm ready when you are! It may be dark by the time we get there, but it'll still be beautiful..." she swooned at the thought for a moment before looking back to Opal. "There are thousands of fireflies that light the area up, their glow almost makes the plants look like they are glowing" She smiled and started on her way, sure that Opal would follow.

Opal watches her walk past. "Oh! That sounds interesting." He gets up and starts walking after her quickly to catch up. "I've never seen fireflies before, what do they look like? Are they really on fire?" Tries to imagine little bugs lit on fire... hmm, he can't figure out how that would work and starts chuckling under his breath.

Cadence burst out in laughter as she wandered into the trees of the forest, making quick dodging movements between trees for fun. "Fireflies aren't actually on fire silly! They are little flying bugs with little glowing lights on their butts" She turned and walked backwards down a path to talk to Opal face to face. "They hover around slowly, mainly in groups from what I've seen, they light up the place. I'm sure you'll LOVE it" her eyes got wide as she said Love and she laughed before turning around and nearly ran into a tree.

"Really? Like stars on their butts? That sounds pretty weird." Then he starts laughing as Cadence is running around in the trees and then almost runs into one. Then he takes off at full sprint and swats at her tail and swishes his tail close to her face as he passes her. "C'mon! Let's go then! Race ya!" He runs full out for a minute and then slows down to let her catch up and pass him.
