Liliah was proud of herself, in that she could now easily keep up with the brisk pace her mentor set. Very unlike the rather clumsy and, quite frankly out of shape, youngling she'd been when she was first taken under Embri's very capable wings. She tended to blush when considering just how naive and sheltered she'd been, and some of her less than brilliant mistakes, even now. Now that she had grown some and become a little bit wiser and better because of them.
Though that incident with the river and the one herb would likely haunt her for the rest of her life. Not that it had been particularly dangerous or anything. Just... humiliating to the rather proud mare she had been.
The memory was brought to the fore as they quickly passed the stream in question and continued on towards the forests border.Liliah noted with some interest that they were definately travelling farther than she'd been before. She took in the surroundings with great interest, barely noticing the strain until she realised she was beginning to fall farther and father behind.
Once she caught up to her mentor, the dusky mare's sides were heaving with exertion and effort, far from being used to these conditions. Ears swiveled to Embri to show the mare she was listening, though Liliah wasn't able to answer right away. "I'll be fine, just give me a moment please." She noticed the other mare breathing harder as well, and she felt a pang of unease. " Are you Okay?"
Following the wing with her eyes, Liliah took in the sight, not only of the plant they were there to collect, but the beauty of the valley as well. "How lovely," she whispered almost reverently. Finding that she was breathing easier now she turned towards the other mare with a grin. " Think I'm ready to continue on, if you're ready." Then a thought occured to her. "This is safe, right? There're no poisons or predators, or anything else right?"
