coleman put his holsters back on and stared at the three. two fairies and a human. he identified them involuntarily. "hi. im coleman" he said

Natalie smiled. "Hi, Mr. Coleman!" she said happily. He looked like a nice man.
Kordeth stiffened, taking a step back. But Callyn grinned. "Hi! My name is Callyn Auvreatlarn, and this is my sister, Kordeth. Sorry for not introducing ourselves earlier." she apologized.

Coleman smiled back at the three then found a place to sit down. He started to remove his equipment to lighten his load.

Annabella sighed, it was getting late. "Natalie, would you like to go to bed sweetie?" She led the little girl up to the third floor, where she had a few extra rooms. She layed her down in the last one, and when she walked out, soundproofed the room. She walked back downstairs.
"Now, we can talk about fairies. She doesn't know I am one, and I dont want to break her trust. Why are you all here?"

Natalie watched Annabella as she left, then laid down. I wonder what they're doing down there... she thought, slowly closing her eyes.
"My sister and I just needed shelter for a little bit. We just escaped a nearby village, and we just need to rest." Kordeth murmured, her eyes never leaving Coleman. She didn't trust him, even if he said he was no longer in the marines.
Meanwhile, Callyn seemed truly fascinated by him. "Really? What happened to you?" she asked Coleman.

"about three months ago, my squad raided a small fairy settlement." he remembered, "we were ordered to kill any fairy we saw. one of our new recruits was tormenting some children. i had to stop him, so i shot him and helped the little ones escape. unfortunately, one of my other teammates saw what i did and reported it to our commander. i was stripped of rank and sentanced to death by a firing squad of 20 men. before my execution, the kids i saved snuck into my holding cell and broke me out. i owe those kids my life. so im going to win this war for the fairies and get revenge on those savage bastards i used to call 'my team'"

Scarlet continuied down a small pathway, farther up she saw a house "Hm...smoke! Stupid humans" she whispered to herself. She reached behind her back and unclipped her scythe and held it out with one arm and slowly walked toward the house. There were voices inside, and she smelled humans, and a Fairy. Scarlet looked around the house to the charred barn "Humans!" she snorted, as if the word was a curse.

coleman felt a suddent chill run down his spine as though something bad was about to happen. he grabbed one of his magnums just in case and headed towards the door. "you have two options people. come with me and help with recon, or stay here and defend your ground." he said.

"Hm...there's no screaming" Scarlet thought. Scarlet turned from the house and walked toward the barn to investigate. I ringing caught her ears "Hm...a gun cannot kill me" Scarlet whispered in amusement under her breath and she began looking.

Annabella stood their, completely shocked still. She just stood their and stared at Coleman. "Y-You." She said. Then, she fainted.
