Ertai held her close as she spoke, looking down into her eyes as she spoke. His youthful face was totally focused on her and her needs. A frown played itself on his face, as if he couldn't make up his mind or he couldn't understand what it was she was saying.
"What is wrong..."
He whispered out as he pulled her in and embraced her, a simple gesture such as a hug was all he could give. His eyes lowering lightly once out of her sight as if he could feel something that was looming upon her, hoping like a ship out at sea during a tempest that she would return to him, and not the black cold sea which is Kenji.
Ertai chose not to play the hand of fate and compel her to do what it is she does, he simply stated his direction and desires...
"I love you..."
He whispered.

Josie was beyond anything the physical world had to offer. While she had been focusing her love and attention on him her memories had slowly been building pressure. The dark time that had been running quietly in the background --her time underground, when she had hated everything and everyone after Kenji had raped her-- had ended. In her memories Josie had resurfaced, and the overwhelming sensations were too much when accompanied by the experiences of reality. She retreated inside her mind and fell limp in his arms, her gaze lost in the distance.

Ertai caught her in his arms and a look of surprise darted across his face, he looked skywards and they vanished. The world around them shifted to black and the palace they were present once again. He knew not of what ailed her but he knew he had to keep her safe.
"Josie... Wake please..."
He laid her down on her bed. Moving his hand he lit candles that surrounded her bed, giving off sweet healing scents. His hands would move to her face as he placed a kiss gently upon her forehead.
As much as he wanted to he refused to tamper and creep into her mind. He couldn't violate the sanctity of her mind, if anything that is all she has protected. He would take his place at her side, sitting down slowly in one of the large chairs next to her bed. His eyes would drift away for a moment as he looked towards the large balcony window, the twilight outside vivid and beautiful.
