Malcum chuckled and nodded. "I like her. She seems like a very good mother. I now see why you are how you are. How protective and independant you are. You definitely get that from her." He leaned down and kissed him back with a smile. He watched him walk out of the room a few seconds before following him out and down the stairs. He looked around at the house as he walked through it. "This is a very nice house, too. She sure does keep everything beautiful."

"Thank you!" His mother called from downstairs already. Mickey laughed a little before starting down the stairs, damn stairs were tough in his condition. He made sure to grab the railing, but that only took away some of the pain in his leg. He seemed fine on flat surfaces, but he just wasn't at stairs yet. It was amazing how he even got down them without hurting himself more. Malcum chuckled before seeing Mickey limp down the stairs in pain. He frowned and stepped forward, helping him down the stairs. He let go of him as soon as they made it to the bottom floor, though, so his mom wouldn't freak out. They then walked into the kitchen together. "Is there anything I can help you with, Ms..?" he asked her, trailing off realizing he didn't know her name.

He mouthed the words 'thank you' back at him before moving into the kitchen. "Mouse. Honey, but just call me mom, with Mickey not around as much I just loving hearing it." The woman said happily before looking around the kitchen. "No, not really, I have everything handled. Oh the tea, please sit down, Mickey why don't you tell how school has been going." His mother replied as she got the teapot and cups and moved them to the table. Mickey sat down next to his mother with a smile. Malcum just smiled and sat beside him. "Alright. Mom it is, then. I don't have anyone to call that anyway." He then took a sip of his tea, closing his eyes happily. "This is delicious. What kind is it?" he asked curiously, taking another sip.

"Oh I don't even remember. It's a big family recipe, we have been making it so long, I don't even remember what any other kind of tea tastes like, either does Michael I suppose, we aren't the try new things type. Our family likes order and as little change was possible right baby," She said reaching over and putting her hand over Mickey's. "Yeah, I think we were the first people to ever run away from the kingdom." Mickey said softly before taking a sip of his tea with the arm he wasn't shot in.

Malcum nodded. "Well, it's absolutely delicious. I'd love to have a stock of this stuff at the dorm. It's so relaxing," he told her with a large smile. He took another sip then. He slid his unused hand over only slightly to touch Mickey's thigh gently, rubbing it a little with very much subtlety. "So have you two been living here for a while, or did you just run away and move here? I haven't been told the time frame of things much," he asked politely with a smile.

"I'll sent you two off with the ingredients when you leave, Mickey knows how to make it already,"She told the red headed boy. She seemed to be quiet pleased with the boy, he was nice. "Oh I forget, It seems like forever ago, Mickey to you remember?" She asked quietly. "We ran away four years ago, but this is the only safe place we have found so far, everywhere else just wasn't quiet enough. Twilight Town is so quaint. It is nice . We have lived here for about a year or so." Mickey explained for his mother. He had better memory than her. Malcum nodded. "That'd be awesome," he told her about the tea with a warm smile on his lips. Then, after listening to Mickey's explanation of their hardship, he nodded once again. "Well, I'm glad that you two found this place safe enough. I'm especially glad that I got to meet you two. You're both wonderful people," he complimented, expressing his thoughts in a gentle voice.

Mickey nodded a little at the compliment. "Oh you don't owe us the kindness. We are just simple people. I live day to day just hoping that I can stay here until Mickey is able to graduate. He needs an education. He'll never make it in the world without an education." The mother spoke softly as she stood up from the table. "It had been quite lovely talking, but I think it might be best if you headed off now, Mickey... I can hear voices starting to pick up..." She whispered as she moved to the stove. There was casserole pan sitting there on the stove. With the foil over it, the delicious smell was masked, but as she pulled the foil off, it seemed to fill the room. "Here, you take this with you." She said softly as she packed it up in a plastic container. In a matter of moments she was handing it off to Michael as he stood up. "I hope that you do okay well while I'm gone, mom." He said back taking the container of four-cheese lasagna and standing up himself. "I hope that your arm and leg feel better soon sweetie." She said intuitively as she hugged him. She then moved to Malcum. "Take care of my little baby, he is very special to me, and I know you are probably a very good man, but I have a hard time believe anyone is good enough for my little mickey." She told me softly as she hugged the taller redhead. She didn't outright say that she knew that Malcum was Michael's boyfriend, but by the way she said her statement, she knew. It was harder than Mickey originally thought to fool his mother it seemed.

Malcum couldn't help but smile at Michael's mother. She was such a sweet woman, and the pair of her and Michael was just adorable. He was taken a little aback when she mentioned Mickey's wounds, though. Well, she is a mother, so I guess she has to, like feel it or whatever... And with Michael as her son, she's probably used to it... The sexy little ninja... He smiled to himself, then was caught off-guard by her again when she was talking to him like she knew they were a couple. He hugged her back, chuckling at himself. "Oh, I will. You can count on me watching out for the little troublemaker." He looked over at Mickey with a smile. "He just can't help but help people." He pulled back from the hug and moved over to Mickey, ready to go.

Mickey smiled to his mother. He probably should have just outright told her. He couldn’t hide anything from the woman. It was like she was psychic. “I love you mom, I’ll try and come back as soon as I can.” Mickey said moved back towards the stairs with the container before picking up the stack of envelopes by the stairs. He had to mail them for his mom since she wouldn’t leave the house to send them. “I love you too Michael,” She said softly back to them before she watched them move up the stairs. He looked like he was having a bit of a hard time getting up the stairs, but she knew that Mickey wasn’t stupid. If he was too bad to be moving about, he would stop moving.
Mickey lead Malcum back up the stairs towards the same room they entered through as much as his injuries didn’t want to, they had to leave the way they came in. “You ready,” He turned back as he moved over to the window and opened it.

Malcum waved slightly to Mickey's mother before following him up the stairs. He eyed Michael as he opened the window. "I'll go out first in case you have trouble and fall. I'll catch you if it happens," he told him stubbornly before lifting himself up and out of the window. He climbed his way down the wall the way they went up and landed on his feet. Then he looked up, smiling at Michael from the ground. "Come on, Love," he called to him.

Mickey frowned a little as Malcum assumed that he was too hurt to climb back down. “I’m hurt, not an invalid.” Mickey mumbled as he watched Malcum climb out the window. Rather than actual listen to Malcum and wait, Mickey followed Malcum out the window just a minute later before he could make it down to the ground. “Right here,” Mickey said with a smug look as he landed on the ground next to Malcum just seconds later. “Despite what my mother thinks, I can handle myself or did you forget that already?” Mickey asked softly starting to walk to the front of the house. Sticking the landing made his leg hurt, but he didn’t let it show. He didn’t want Malcum to think he was weak.

Malcum frowned as Michael landed beside him. "I just wanted to make sure you made it down alright. Sorry for caring about you," he mumbled before following him. "I know you're strong, Michael. But you have to realize that I'm here if you do need me," he added in the same mumble, frowning a little.
