Cabriole's ears drooped slightly at the glare, his expression saying worlds about how much he wanted and indeed tried to warn the stallion without alerting Zahraa', how he had hoped he'd see how uncomfortable he was and realize the danger.
How he had felt he had a chance at escape if he had just.. Taken off with those wings of his as soon as he saw the fear for the other stallions freedom in his eyes, his body.
However, none of that came from his lips as they walked along, his bells jingling softly, "I.. I wouldn't suggest running. I was outpaced easily, and we're surrounded by woods. They live in the trees and travel faster then we can run through them. The tree's slow us down.. And they get faster. Just...Ah.." He fidgeted again, ears pinned to the back of his head, "Just be polite and respectful of their culture.. if they find you unsatisfactory you'll be chased out of their territory, but if you're seen as rude or trouble some, they may hurt you further.If your satisfactory or polite, they tend to be either kind..."
He paused, thinking of the other mares, "Or indifferent.. Though I'd suggest avoiding the one with the rainbow tipped feathers.... Or the mare with the scales and the long fangs and bat wings.... But really... You might be favored by Azshara or another one of the kind mares... Like I'm Zahraa's... Property. Pet? Males don't have any rights in their culture, I'm afraid, except for if they are favored, and even then its just what their mistress allows them.. Disobey and... Well, I've yet to see a stallion disobey, but they've made it quite clear we'd be punished if we did... And some of the older stallions who've been here for a while have experienced or seen it."
He then looked over at Zahraa' with a bit of scared hope that he wasn't overstepping his boundries trying to coach and prepare the other stallion as to how to behave. He knew he would have loved having a pre-prep from Garuda BEFORE being taken to the queen.
".... You're going to be taken to their ruler, and she'll look you over and see if their spirits approve of you. You need to stay still for this, and not fight or protest. Only speak when prompted, and only what they ask of you. They will take a feather from you as a trophy, more then likely. And trim your wings so you will not be able to fly away once you recover. If you are approved, you'll be kept -- possibly claimed or put with the harem. You'll have no real duties until the move, where you'll have to carry supplies to the new nest... Well... Except for being.. Ah... Breeding stock. That hasn't happened to me yet, so I think they realize you need to be at least a little comfortable with that concept for it to even work."
His honey colored fur, already redder in the face due to the bee stings, increased its hue as he flushed in embarrassment about that, "They don't have males of their own, and we're inferior to them due to their cultural history. It's the only reason why males are captured and inspected rather then chased out of their territory all together. Its improper for them to go out and simply return pregnant, since their spirits need to approve of it and you can't do that with a random outsider."
He trailed off with an apology for rambling, and thought things over a bit, keeping his eyes turned down as he walked along, trying to think of what would be of interest and positive to the stallion beside him. He had no knowledge of if he had a love of dance or music -- that had been something Cabriole had been surprised and happy about. If he was fascinated by the constructs in the tree's, that'd be another thing of interest.. The making of accessories, the mastery of fire the Commanders, queen, and (At least he had been told) oracle had, learning to find and use the flint that allowed it.
If it wasn't for the inequality of genders, the closed boarders and distrust and dislike of most outsiders, he mused, sighpuffing through his nose, Uncle Cuauh would love visiting and studying them, and teaching them how to thrive even further...

The idea of another soquili winning a race against the harpy mare was somewhat ludicrous, so it was wise of the wind not to chance running. She'd have warned him o this herself, but her dear Cabriole had already started in on the ins and outs of the flock and suggestions on behaviors that would keep him whole and unscathed.
Honestly she'd thought she'd have to add something to the end of the the honey stallion's lecture, but he'd been thorough and articulate and had actually hit all the bases satisfactory. This of course pleased the Harpy, and she pivoted to double back, a quick jump to his side to rub her body against his before taking the lead once again. "You shouldn't be too mad at him you know. He didn't have a choice but to remain silent and watch." She grinned, glancing over her shoulder.
They were on the edge of the nesting grounds now, and a loud chirrup was sent out before them to warn the sisters of her return and alert the queen that she'd captured another male for inspection.
Oh how proud she must be. Bi-colored feathers fluffed smugly as she sped her pace, eager to greet the queen and have her newest conquest appraised. Would the spirits find him as worthy as they had her precious Cabriole? If they did, perhaps she would keep him as her own. Another plaything for the pale harpy mare.
