Despite being flustered, Leo chuckled. Moving very carefully he eased his paw next to Aegle's and began scraping away the earth. Soon he'd scraped away a respectable amount of earth from around Aegle. "There, give that a tug and see if it's any better."

Aegle pulled on her leg one more time and it came out with a 'PoP' . She moved forward some and shook her leg getting some feeling back into it. "Thank you hun,"she said kissing him. "It feels a lot better."
((want me to find an image of a den or do you?))

Leo smiled, licking his mate's cheek and carefully scooping the dirt back into the hole. Hopefully his digging had made it more like a divet that a hole, so no one else would get a paw stuck in it. "I guess if my tree-climbing doesn't work out, I can become a mole," Leo joked, lightly laughing and continuing forward.
((You, for several reasons. One, I suck at finding good pictures lol. Two, you own Aegle and know exactly what she's looking for. She'll be happier with a picture you pick out.))

Aegle smiled and rubbed against Leo smiling. "Thank you love and you would make an interesting colored mole. Lets see if you can be one?"She said teasingly as the walked further in search of a den.

Leo chuckled. "Tell you what. If we find a spot you really like for a den, I'll dig the thing out myself. I will use my mole powers to make the nicest den you could hope for."

Aegle wander around with Leo for awhile until they came to this beautiful red field of flowers. Aegle instantly fell in love with this place and her tail began to wag faster. "Leo, Leo can we please set up a den here?" she asked in a pleading voice.

Leo stared at the field of red flowers. He'd never seen their likes before, but it seemed the area around Omaticaya was quite good for plant growth. "If this is where you'd like to den, love, of course. Where would you like me to begin digging." He stood and waited, legging Aegle wander into the field to pick out the perfect spot among the flowers.

Aegle explored the red field for awhile before finally deciding where she wanted it. She stood in the middle of the field and smiled. "Here love please," she said while thinking over the possibilities of how this field could help the kits.

Leo nodded and set to digging. While he joked about being a mole, he really was more of a squirrel. However his legs were powerful from climbing and jumping among trees, claws sharp to dig into branches. Very soon he had a dish in the ground that one could lay in.
Leo paused to spread the building mound of dirt around the den, trying not to bury any flowers beneath it. He looked over at Aegle. "This might take a little time. How about you find something to line it with, and when you come back I should have made more progress?" He was loathe to let his mate out of his sight right now, but he knew Aegle would probably feel better with something to do. And he certainly wasn't letting her dig!

Aegle watched him with a curious eye trying to figure out what he was up to by sending her off. Though what he said did make sense. She would want the kids to be able to sleep on something soft and she would need things to help keep the heat in since she didn't think Leo would be able to be around to much.
She examined this and that as she walked keeping in mind that heat and comfort was what she needed. She found some moss and took huge chunks of that. Knowing that it would do both things that she wanted.

Leo continued to dig while his mate was gone. He supposed the den wasn't all that bad, for a tree-fox. Not that he was done, but it was slowly curving more into the earth, becoming more like a den than just a hole in the ground.

As Aegle was bringing back some moss she spotted some very dry ferns that could help give lining to the bed of the den. She set her moss down and began to pull the ferns out. She stopped after she had about10 than picked those and her moss back up and walked out into the field to find Leo digging away.

Leo finally finished his digging, and was waiting for Aegle to return. To kill time he worked on spreading the dug out dirt around the field. It wasn't bad for an impromptu den, and he could always refine it a bit more later. For now though he was tired, and resting didn't seem like a bad idea.

Aegle came back caring her amazing find in her mouth and dragging some of it behind her using her tail. When she made it to the field of flowers she noticed that Leo had finished digging and had fallen asleep. She smiled to her self as she quietly crept down into the den and began to set up what she had brought.

((Once we get to page four do we want to time skip to the babies being born?))
Leo hadn't meant to fall asleep. But the sun was so warm and the wind just cooling enough. The rich smell of flowers and freshly-turned earth filled the air and birds sang in the distance. Combined with his fatigue suddenly catching up to him, he had simply drifted off.
He was having a pleasant dream. A dun, lined snuggly with soft most and fragrant ferns. Tiny little silver, purple, and green kits running about and jumping through flowers while their mother sat in the background and watched them all with a smile. The colors remained the same, but the patterns on the kits was constantly shifting. Most they looked like their mother. Leo knew all his had to offer besides his color was a single marking shaped like an S.
That was fine with him though. As far as Leo was concerned the kits would benefit from this. Better to look like their gorgeous mother than their battle-scared, crusty father!
